Cheapest and quickest, weld together a hanger on the back of the dozer and hang the wire rope off it like you would a garden hose on the side of your house. A couple of shackles and a pulley to change the pull direction would come in handy too.
Awesome video, that Russian dozer makes a good lawnmower. I applaud you getting back in amongst those mosquitoes. They would have eaten me alive, it was fascinating watching how you got the try out. I like the idea of fixing something to the dozer for the cable, it would make life easier for carrying the cable. And you are so good at fabricating. Yet again you showed that you’re not afraid of hard work. Look forward to the next instalment. Keep up the good work.
You remind me a bit of me, I hate borrowing things, so I go out and buy one, even if I never use it again. But thank heavens for all your big boy toys, that length of steel cable is going to be a real chore to roll up and store. 👋🇿🇦
No one would transport a rope like you did. But I had expected it. 😁Keep it dry and oily and will have a live time. So it would worth it. Means no towing over the ground anymore.
Thank you.another great moment when i watch your video, thank for sharing and i learn a lot and always a pleasure watch your video and a good moment 👍👍👍👍
Andris, I am itching already, nettles and especially the mosquitoes, flying hell beasts. Thanks again for sharing your adventures - my favourite channel - yep, even better than Andrew! :)
Hi the Steel rope is realy big. i Use a hammer compressed 13mm Steel rope is min Break Load is like 22T and it fits in a pully, i recommend useing wire grease it‘s like grease but liqued but not that sticky, if you leave it it will rust even in air, and when Its rusting you are going to lose like 2/3 of the wire strenght. I’m useing liqui moly seilfett. i think you will find something maybe old engine Oil, it works but it is sticky af. Greatings from Germany
When you were dragging the rope across the road with the ATV. Cartoon played in my head of tractor driving down the road and over the cable. Glad that didn’t happen 28:00
LOL! Ants and his machines you know that content will be hilarious and quite creative! Yeah the cable was overkill but then overkill is what Ants does! LOL
Some people just don't understand that there is something inside us that stops us being able to pay someone else to do something that we can do! Keep up the good work!!
Thanks for your vid 😇💟💟💟 Love and bless you Antis, great you did it with Goliath your Bull dozer nice to see it in action and shaving of the Earth , NOW you can pull away this big trees bye the house .
Hi Ants, very amusing video again. Can you use the heavy duty cable and the dozer to remove your trees from your neigbours property line. Secure the cable to the tree top and put tension on it with the dozer. Then do the cutting and pull them in the right direction.
You really need to make an old fashioned Log Shoe, imagine one of those end bit from armco crash barriers chained onto the front of the log like a sled to keep it from sinking in, just like a toboggan. I'm sure you can organize something.
Another video masterpiece. I think you could have used your chain around the stump to connect to the cable. The dozer is a beast. I want one. I only have a Korean tractor. Straps are great for pulling. Cheaper and lighter than wire cable. I bought a 10 meter 15000 kilo strap for $60 dollars Canadian about 90Euro I think. Great job and I'm looking forward to the next one.
@@Ants_Pants Possibly in theory but not in practice. No rusting and much easier to handle and store so in my opinion well worth it. Once you had strap you never go back!
A rule of thumb formula for wire rope slings is diameter x diameter x 8 = the rated capacity of the wire rope in tons. This formula uses inches and has the safety factor of 5 to 1 (ALL rigging has a 5 to 1 safety factor) built in. Different types of rope have higher and lower capacities. This formula gives you the approximate rating for low end steel ropes to keep you safe. An example: 3/4 diameter wire rope is .75 x .75 x 8 = 4.5 tons. 4.5 x 2000 (pounds in a ton) = 9,000 pound capacity. An extra improved plow steel hoisting rope of this size is rated for 12,500 lbs with a 3.5 to 1 safety factor included.
That rating you have on the tag that looks like a noose is for a choker hitch, not the eye in the end of the rope. The rope with the eye is rated for the full capacity of the rope.
In Sweden we call those hellish weeds "Burn nettles" and they sure do live up to the name. Apparently you can make a good soup with them. Not worth the hassle of the crap growing near you though.
Mr. Ants Pants you have a problem. I have the solution. Salvage tank 3 buffalo the expert for everything rough! Not quite cheap. Joking aside, the best real satire, that would be something for TV. I love your videos!!
As many wonder in the comments: nettle pesto is awesome ! Here's a quick recipe 🍽 Wash the nettles abundantly (wearing gloves of course) in cold water, at least 3 times, changing the water each time. For 100 grams of nettles, put the leaves (stems are thrown) in a blender/mixer with 25 g pine nuts (and/or almonds), 4 garlic cloves, 50 g parmesan, 1/2 lemon juice, a 1/2 cup of vegetable broth, salt and 10 cl olive oil. Nettle pesto oxidizes very quickly (it turns black), if it is not consumed immediately. It must be covered with a layer of olive oil for conservation. It's absolutely awesome with pasta ! 🍝
Not going to break that stuff brother, that’s some big cable! The dozer is a beast brother, awesome job and it pulled the tree with no problems! I like this kind of video every once in a while! You can use winch just for tree pulling, because it is much more convienient to pull trees with winch, because you can adjust the lenght and you dont need to drive back and foward in low gear that much, specialy when you have long cable. I think for some of those dozers winches was mounted originaly for forest work.
Good choice for rope size, maybe in the future will be able to pull even bigger things too. 👍 Would be interested to know how much fuel the dozer consumed 😅. By the way good operator skills. 👌
Lawn mower 6000 works great. Have a great weekend everyone!

but can your Mum drive it yet?
Hahahaha
I love it when Ant's plans come together.

The Estonian McGyver!
The biggest lawnmower, "I'll have to teach my mom how to use it". That was really funny. Like always Ants, great video, thank you.

That dozer makes an excellent log skidder! not even breaking a sweat while that big log just wreaks destruction on everything in its path
Yes!!
Last Video: im done with fire wood; next video: pulls out a massive log
Oof that did not age well 😂

Whenever you say "we will attempt something nobody should do" is a sign that this will be an entertaining video and maybe a little dangerous! Love it!

Your grandfather would be proud of you right now.He was watching over you and helped.

@@Ants_Pants I understand that but the tracks will wear excessively with them that tight

One thumbs up is simply not enough. Love it. Thanks so much.
Wow, thank you!
You could wrap the 'cow chain' around the stump and then attach the cable to that, it's probably stronger than the old steel cable.
Yup
You're awesome, love watching the videos. You should give the dozer a cool paint job!
cool idea
