    🔥🔥🔥 I get it now, these are just two vented enclosures tuned to different frequencies, joined by a common wall, the woofer baffle internally, but built as a single unit externally.

    I could see some people clicking away from the video but I actually didn’t come for entertainment but actual information so this video was really helpful for me because I’ve been thinking about building some sort of bandpass box

    This is all your fault. I wont be happy with a ported box anymore. Now thanks to you I have to figure out all the ins and outs of the winISD program. I’m removing the back seat of my Silverado, making a bed about 20 or inches off the floor. So now that I have the space I guess I need to engineer a box to utilize it.
    Thanks for the info on the program. Maybe a full fill in and WTF each of the parameters are for as you build a box tutorial could be a series of videos for you. Assuming I’m not the only one interested in making a box that works well. Keep it up man. I’m binging on all the vids you have up

    what I would love to see is if you could model not only the ported box and a 6 order but also a 4th order box just so I can see how the low end compares.
    I've done plenty of sealed boxes growingup and the last decades been mainly ported boxes but I've never done 4th or 6th order boxes.
    I just wasn't sure if I was going to actually get more output on the low end to justify the extra space needed.

    Hey man, I may be very late to the train but I'm currently building a 4th order bandpass enclosure and your video is mostly comparing 6th and a regular ported. I' ve been trying to find videos that explains 4th orders more in detail. You think you could build a 4th before the end of the month ? I'd love to see more infos on them. Keep up the great work though. Your videos so far told me you don't need huge setups to be loud, and that's what I'm aiming for. It's a little 10" Soundqubed subwoofer in a 4th 2:1 (ish) enclosure. I just want to make sure I'm doing things right ! Thank you man

    I have a great idea for videos that you can pose by actually taking suggestions from the comments and building boxes for people that can't afford a prefab box from a manufacturer and do not have the brains to understand some of the mathematics in building a box just with computer animation print out some measurements for the most popular Subs I guarantee people will begin to subscribe there is no one out there doing this and everyone needs help not everybody has money to buy prefab boxes or have custom-made boxes your channel is awesome

      @@BudgetBassHead seriously not literally saying you have to build one with wood but if you could pick the most popular subs or suggestion on Subs people choose and have a design with specific measurements that people could build their own dude you would be ahead of everyone no one is doing this at all it is great that you respond to your subscribers like me your videos are way ahead of everyone else's I saw a video and I asked if you could help me build a ported box for a skar evl 12 in with 45 on the corner and 45 on the port kind of like the one from Sonix enclosures they have a three-stage ported box but they don't include the 45 on the port which is the most important part that makes the most noise distortion I have a SUV so it wouldn't matter how you design it and it's only one single 12 I really appreciate this budget bass head you are totally awesome dude if you happen to have time to do it I would like the poor to face the same direction as the subwoofer thank you and may God bless you for your time and patience

    Was rewatching your video because I was getting ready to build a new box for my sub, and I noticed in the beginning when you show both the vented enclosure and the 6th orders “box screen “ on winisd, your vented enclosure has a couple of your t/s parameters different than your 6th, just noticed RE and your diam Are different, not that those specs throw your design off just thought I’d give you a heads up, awesome video though bro even watching it the 2nd time

    You wanted full low range with good all round response for your homr, why not a T-line box? Get as low as 10hz all the way to your crossover cutoff. Sure it wont have the peaks but it will stick right on that 0db line all the way without any rolloff.

    Would you be interested in making the plans for a 6th order I have designed. I don't know how to do all the computer stuff. The design is for 2 12" zvx v2 d1. I had a RP 4500 pushing them, and xs3000 powering it all. I'll cash app you money for the plans if you willing to take it on.

    Should both ports have the same port areas? Or should they be a certain amount of square inches of Port area per cubic feet of box space?

    • @BudgetBassHead
      @BudgetBassHead  4 роки тому

      It depends on how much space you have. Sometimes the box is bigger with more port area. But in reality it shouldn't take matter. Just try to stick as close as possible to manufacture recommendation.

    • @deonjos8874
      @deonjos8874 4 роки тому

      I'm making a 6th order for a skar ddx15. Skar requires 4 cubic feet and 64.75 square inches of Port area. The box would be 4 cubes tuned to 33 hz and 2 cubes tuned to 52 hz. I don't think both chambers should have the same port area. One chamber is half the size of the other and I think the port area should also be half the size of the other. A 2 cubic feet box should not have the same size of Port as a 4 cubic feet box. A big port on a small enclosure would not have enough compression and would cause the sub to bottom out. Skar recommends 64.75 square inches of Port area for a 4 cubic feet of box space which would be about 16.18 square inches of Port area per cubic feet of box space so I think it should be about 32.36 square inches of Port area for a 2 cubic feet box which is what the small section of the 6th order would be. These are just my thoughts and I know I can be wrong, but if I'm wrong, please point me in the right direction. Thank you.

    Does it matter that your diameter on the ported box shoes 472 or so in? Also I notice the Xmax has a unit of m. Is that meter? Is so 18 sounds extreme.
    Do those numbers matter?

      he doesn't mean screw as in sex. He means screwed as in slowed down, as in chopped and screwed, its popular among southern rappers mainly from Texas they slow down the music so its lower which intern makes the Bass super low..its really popular with SPL competitors...at least im pretty sure thats what he is talking about lol

    what are the disadvantages or advantages if I were to build a 6th order and tune both the chambers to the same frequency? I'm planning on builden a nowall setup in my 1997 v70r with 2 18s and aiming for low freq SPL like 26-28hz ;)

      or am I better of just building a vented box ?

    • @BudgetBassHead
      @BudgetBassHead  4 роки тому

      I have a many videos on this subject, in-short never do that. The 6th gives you greater bandwidth; flatter response across many frequencies. Doing what you stated is useless in that regard; for you would only peek in one, narrow frequency band.
