Dead poet's society is the best movie ever made for me better than any movie out there. The concept of the film was absolutely revolutionary for the time. It was incredible.
+Danielle Stormborn I like it too, because it shows how nice and down to earth he is, when you are talking to more than one people you include everybody, and I notice most guest only talk directly to Konan.
I don't think people like him very much because he is not the kind of actor who is the typical Hollywood actor, he is not trying to smile all time, to be fun all the time or to be liked, he is more on his own
I find it kind of ironic that he got the part to act because he didnt like school in a movie where the main cast is pressured into education and they find their passion and one of them happens to be acting......
*Dead poets society is my favourite film for today, I love it. Todd Anderson was the cutest, most beautiful and so so so lovely character in that film. I miss Niel and Todd so much*
Ethan is my favorite actor. He's an actor for the art... for the rush. He's genuine and real.. love listening to him speak. he's a natural storyteller.
Man, I wish for Ethan to get more big films. he is really among my favorite actors, but I feel he is very underrated :/ Maybe Something like True Detective could give him a comeback? :)
Lol Conan's awesome. He can literally turn any topic, no matter how serious or unfunny, into a joke. He's a genius. As for Ethan Hawke, man's one hell of an actor. And the Dead Poets Society, just sheer, emotional, and creative brilliance.
***** You know, JK Simmons won it fairly, but if Whiplash hadn't come out that year, it would be really interesting to see who would have taken the Oscar between Mark Ruffalo, Edward Norton or Ethan Hawke.
winter ramos exactly what I came to the comments to see, hoping to see others noticing that too, makes you think of the type of person he is coz it appears very natural not at all contrived so it makes me respect the person and the actor
LOL he went and auditioned for the movie against his parent's wishes just like Neil auditioned for the play in Dead Poet's Society against his father's wishes
Hello there. Thank you very much for your lovely words, I really do appreciate it. Tell me what's your favorite movie of all my movies you have seen so far?
Hello there. Thank-you for your love and care throughout my career.. I really do appreciate it. Tell me what's your favorite movie of all my movies you have seen so far?
I saw Ethan in Beofre midnight, and then later I realised it was a sequel to Before Sunrise and I loved them both. You dont even have to watch them in order. Im so happy there is a third and probably a conclusive film to enjoy. Julie Delpy is so loveable
I liked how in this interview he looked both ways, at Andy and Conan, more guess need to do that, like there is another person sitting next to them listening. Plus when they engage with Andy some he says funny things more often.
Hello there. Thank-you for your love and care throughout my career.. I really do appreciate it. Tell me what's your favorite movie of all my movies you have seen so far?
I have such a big crush on Todd Anderson (and just 90s Ethan Hawke in general) right now so I guess it's time to watch every interview of his on the internet 😂
i've only known of ethan from Gattaca which is my favorite movie. Never really into hollywood, but this guy way cool. Great interviewee and just a chill dude.

Shame no reaction once “Dead Poets Society” was mentioned. I had the hope he would do, exactly what he did in the film. Stand on the desk and say “O captain my captain.”
I believe the first movie I saw of Ethan Hawke was White Fang in 1991. Good movie. But not as well recognized as his other films which were much much bigger.
Hello there. Thank-you for your love and care throughout my career.. I really do appreciate it. Tell me what's your favorite movie of all my movies you have seen so far?
Can't believe there was no audience reaction to the mention of Dead Poets Society.
I know! What the hell was that?! Just watched DPS again last night, it's one of the greatest movies ever!
These damn kids don't appreciate great films! Haha
Alexander Herzen what
I know right???!!! I was thinking the same thing. I grew up watching that movie.
Ethan's role wasn't that memorable though
I love how his experience is kind of like Neil in Dead Poetry Society
he did not play neil.
@@ghost.i bad analogy then; neil offed himself, ethan hawke did not. hawke's parents were concerned for him; they were not cruel.
What is dead poetry sis
@@azer.2454 I've watched it but I was correcting her it's dead poets society not poetry
Except for the blow your brains out thing
I would have dropped out of college for Dead Poets Society too!
No, you wouldn't. Because you didn't know what DPS was going to be.
As would I
@@Nautilus1972 A movie with Robin Williams would've been enough at the time to go by.
I would have dropped out of college to go see Dead Poets Society.
Yessir
Wow, not even ONE clap for "Dead Poets Society," this audience makes me feel old! LOL
duuuuuuuude! like how!? they just went dead silent!! I'm in AWE!!
I saw it when I was eighteen, in 2015, my fellow millennial, and you're right, there is no excuse for not seeing one of the best films ever made
RonJammin Same here. The Dead Poets Society is by far one of the best Williams films EVER!
My favorite movie of all time
And I'm 16!!
Ethan Hawke is one of those actors who can really tell a great story during interviews.
Dead poet's society is the best movie ever made for me better than any movie out there. The concept of the film was absolutely revolutionary for the time. It was incredible.
My favorite film.
Sooo legit
I like it how he frequently looks at Andy's direction.
+Danielle Stormborn I like it too, because it shows how nice and down to earth he is, when you are talking to more than one people you include everybody, and I notice most guest only talk directly to Konan.
+cloudwalker08 This must have really been bothering you guys aye haha
Krishnica Mittal OMG he's too adorable!
A true gentleman
it just makes no sense to have Andy there
I don't think people like him very much because he is not the kind of actor who is the typical Hollywood actor, he is not trying to smile all time, to be fun all the time or to be liked, he is more on his own
ive never heard anyone hate on ethan hawke
People don't like the "perfect celebrity" image anymore, just look at Jennifer Lawrence.
+Max Payne Well, she is still pretty hot after all.
@@matman000000 eh.. well ppl love Zendaya and consider her perfect. But yeah it just depends.
They only know Maya Hawke from Stranger Things. Lol
Ethan is like the guy next door. He could be your neighbor . That why he is so cool.
He more or less was the guy next store for when when I was young. He babysat me once.
Graham Strouse Did he ever make you the bag boy?
Fortunately, no.

I find it kind of ironic that he got the part to act because he didnt like school in a movie where the main cast is pressured into education and they find their passion and one of them happens to be acting......
Yess
i just think that he kinda sees himself in that movie
That moment when you realize that the daughter he's talking about is Maya Hawke who plays Robin in Stranger Things...

Ethan is my favorite actor. He's an actor for the art... for the rush. He's genuine and real.. love listening to him speak. he's a natural storyteller.
i love how he still gives off the same vibes he did in the 'dead poets in nyu' video
ethan can hold a conversation great, he had me calm and interested all along
O captain my captain 💖
ethan is the realest, give this man an oscar already
Why is he still Todd Anderson like I SEE HIM IN HIM
Same
I can't todd's face off him like that character is in him lmao
I didn't know who he was at first..so i looked on wikipedia and saw that he was todd and looked straight in his face and said "yep..them eyes"

Ethan Hawke looks like a very serious person but I can see now that he is actually very active and funny. :3
He was great in Boyhood.
He should have won

He's the only thing good about that movie
Ethan is such a humble guy! I love him in GATTACA!
destinyawaitsx3 RAFI, is that you?
+destinyawaitsx3 Aye GATTACA was amazing.. and it was the movie that got me into science :)
Yes!!! Him and Jude Law had great chemistry.
the most motivational movie i've ever seen. my number one as well.
That is so funny that his parents were iffy about him acting in regards to dead poets society.
“Carpe diem” and “oh captain, my captain”, so emotional
You can see a potential Bruce Wayne there... This man got the manners though, just saying!!!
the look def, more so than ben affleck
kerberospanzer I literally love you for the word "Benifer".
Quazar Tuballes good call!
'PREDESTINATION'...One of the most beautiful psycho movies...Every should watch it.

Hello there. Thank you very much for your lovely words, I really do appreciate it. Tell me what's your favorite movie of all my movies you have seen so far?
the fact that this is the same person that played quiet & shy todd makes me laugh
What a lovely guy Ethan Hawke is. I just saw him in Boyhood a week or two ago and he was SO good in that.
I like that he pays attention to the other guy.

The man has never been in a bad movie.
Hawks seems underrated,. There's something quirky awk and hot about him

The Before Trilogy brought me here. Phenomenal 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
What a good looking guy.
Ha ha, the father taking the SAT was funny as. I can see the whole thing play out.
Son: "It's too hard dad."
Father: "WHAT? Hold me drink dear."
LOL
i want to see him in movie together with Christian Bale, that would be so awesome !
I’m glad he chose the path that he did. Awesome actor!!!
I like the fact that he didn't sugar coat anything.
Dude, Ethan Hawke is a great interviewee. Can't wait to watch the full episode. (PUT DAT SHIT ONLINE CONAN!)
Dude dead poet society needed more audience reaction. Like seriously
Ethan Hawke is amazing all the time in every situation.
I am watching Before Midnight at the same time and they were JUST talking in the movie about that time before children... What a coincidence!
I love Ethan so much

Don't you just love a 30 second commercial you can't skip, ABOUT Conan, when you're about to watch a CONAN clip.
there are so many good actors in UK and US, which just amazes me
and nobody remembers Christian Bale being in 'Empire Of The Sun' he's part of the league of actors that became legendary in the post-2000's, though being busy from the 80s on...
Such a cool down to earth dude. I remember him from Explorers! A childhood favorite. His daughter was fantastic in the new Stranger Things!
Ethan Hawke didn't leave me any impression in DPS but his role in Gattaca did.

And then Maya dropped out to be in little women lmao

He's always very poetic...
“you look like a drug addict” IF I SAID THIS TO MY PARENTS 😂😂
Ive been a fan of him since seeing him in Explorers.
LOL ... Moon in background ... says it all ...
What a shame... he left adorable Uma Thurman for an average next door nanny.....
He was in the 80's movie 'Explores'.
he would have been a great addition to the cast of American Hustle, im sure there was a role for him in that movie
So weird seeing and hearing him all grown up...
The way Ethan responded I think he thought of the other interpretation right away...
Woman are the most important thing besides his passion? Love that for him

Hayley Wheeler I think he played Todd
It's Todd. Neil killed himself.
Ida Baca underrated comment
Forever Todd.

He probably does it because he is more educated than most people, and a great Actor!
Dead Poets Society was hands down Robin Williams best film in my opinion.
