I did this mod on my 2016 R AWD I used much bigger cone filters and 3d printed the elbows myself with carbon fiber PLA. The results are night and day! When I rev the car past 3k it sounds like a V12 Ferrari! Also noticed the throttle response to be much better it made a scary car to drive to a terrifying experience. My wife refuses to drive it, she’s got 2017 supercharged XF.
Wow! What an beast! Can't wait for the rest of the videos on this SVR.
It certainly is a beast!! More vids on the way!
Congratulations on the purchase of the SVR, had mine for a number of years and love it.
I also love it too!
Yes!! Added Mina intakes … very noticeable and the sound of the supercharger.. awesome!!!
Yea, I love it!
Nice! I've got a V6S that I love. Never driven the V8 and I don't want to because I know I'll want one!
Yea, don’t drive one or else you defo will
Terrific video! The grille looks absolutely fantastic! Great job 🎉
Thanks so much!
Looks and sounds ace! good to see you today aswell.
Thanks! You too!
great Vid, I have 17' SVR convertible, same colour as yours coming from an R - love it, looking to to start adding more power now - * ohh yeah love that charger whine - I need that haha
Nice!
Man I love the front bumper and fenders on the SVR but I don't love that you can only use two wheels and it doesn't come in carpathian grey.
What do you mean only use two wheels?
I personally don't like the supercharger whine so stock is the way to go but I love your videos. Keep em coming. Btw did you check if your car has had the software update for the exhaust?
Thanks for watching, how can I check about the software update? The car does do pops and bangs nicely!
Not a fan of the black wheel centre caps.
Not because they are black but because they are the old outdated design, both the growler and the lettering.
In one of your earlier vids - "Problems Installing My New Wheels to my F-Type" - you showed the old style vs the new style side by side and the new design looks so much better.
You can get new OEM black caps in the new design just takes a bit of searching and they are not cheap!
PS - have an F-Type V6S with many mods including the lower intake cone filters, very similar to yours, and a larger lower/crank pulley with tune, and the SC whine is insane!
Yea, I agree but who comes that close to inspect the wheel caps? I just wanted the red gone! I have just has SC pulley and a tune done, video coming soon!
I got new style black ones from eBay - genuine from Hatfields.. £44.40 so not expensive at all.
Other than sound and the minuscule of a difference with timing. Has your mpg or anything else improved? Do you think it's worth the money for this up grade?
Although it didn’t seem faster on paper it certainly does feel faster and more responsive to drive, I would say yes!
What intakes did you use, I have a 2014 Ftype s lookin to do some upgrades
This is the video of the original install on my V6 I Make My Supercharger SCREAM!!!!

Need to get the Revs up before launching or itll be the same time.
Lovely car buddy, I had been thinking about the mod on my AWD V8 R Coupe, but in all honesty for the effort, cost and effectiveness I honestly don't think it's worth it. Plus I'd rather not hear the supercharger in all respect. It sounds more 'hybrid' and can override the sound of the exhaust notes. My V8 is 2015 no filters or software update done, I'd rather keep mine as it is.
2015 & 16 are the best years of the F-type software is so important not to change it if you like your pops and bangs. But if it does happen you can get it reprogrammed with the velocity, AP tune and it will pop and bang even harder. But for around 5k does not seem to be worth it unless your tracking / racing and need the power & speed. It will take the Jag just shy of 700hp with the pulley&intake mods.
@@jonathanfigueroa6047 Yes I see the AP mods are great SKRRT garage did his and was very complimentary about the service. Again, at no time do I feel I need anything extra, just looking at the accel/brake bar in dynamic screen the amount on the pedal when pushing it is about 50%, You just run out of road quickly on normal roads or hit traffic. I can't use totally what I have so why would I need more :) But the power is there when I need to get out of trouble which is always nice.
so was it worth saving 3 tenths of. a sec . ?
im sure its more than that with a few more runs, but yes, the car feels much faster with the mods
Waste of time don’t you think I think jaguar know better than you don’t need mod cons on a svr
Absolutely not a waste of time, I love the supercharger sound and jaguar muffle it from the factory
Def not a waste of time… car manufacturers have stricter epa guide lines… free up the power!!
@@paulmarriner5906 you useless 🤡
What a clown attitude and totally ignorant. "Jaguar know better than you". Jaguar, like all manufacturers, build something with the intention to pass all government regulations to be on sale. What they release from factory doesn't define the extent of their knowledge. If Jaguar was intent on designing a race car, do you think a factory, street-legal SVR spec would be it? Of course not! Application intention is paramount. If the owner loves the extra noise, that's a tangible benefit irrespective of any performance gain. Untuned, it already shows gains. Tuned, it would be even more. So, jog on and be a mungbean elsewhere.
