    Hi Willie, what a great bag of reels.
    It wouldn't be a great bag with out the Johnson 100B's.
    I really enjoyed this video. Not only did you get a bag of reels, but we got to meet Andy and see you fish wth him. Thanks Andy for getting the bag of reels for Willie and opening your house to us. By the way, it's gorgeous. Also thanks for taking Willie and us fishing. Even if the gills had tiny mouths.The baby bass were confused
    where they were suppose be. 😂
    I'm watching part 2 now. I like to watch parts back to back. So I'll continue on Part 2...

    Great video, Willie, thanks for letting us join you on your 80-mile trek to Andy's home. It was nice to meet Andy and it looks like he has a really nice home. I like your " bag of reels" and will be waiting for the builds. Take care and be safe.

      Hey CJ!
      Andy is a good ol fella!!
      So far, you and Andy have been two very pleasant local surprises that I have been glad to meet..😊
      I’ve already tore into the 115 century and starting on the SABRA but it’s in a little worse shape.. so definitely got some more episodes coming from the “Bag of Reels”..
      😉

    It is nice to finally meet Andy and "thank you" to him for providing you the reel body for my Johnson Scout 145. Man, that was a long ride...bet you behind need some rest after that! HaHa. Enjoyed seeing the bag of reels and those 2 Diawa Gold Minicasts with the thumb drag were neat reels. That one with the crank-wheel was wild! Anyway, we are looking forward to Part 2 later on. Thanks for continuing to put out great episodes for everyone to enjoy. P.S. "Keep On Catching Fish!"

    That Daywa I believe is model daiwa spincast 30dx and intrigues the hell out of me.
    I fished the 115 for years and is the reel that brought me back into the Johnson fold. The 115 and DLX are my fresh water go to reels. Work great in the local trout stream

      Yes sir, that’s a crazy looking thing an it it?
      Andy is gonna bring it with him when he comes up here to fish with me and we’re gonna give it a fling or 5 and try to catch something with it..
      I already have a new set of gears coming for the 115.. (spoiler alert) 🫣
      It’s a cool reel and I wanna get it right..
      Hey, did you get the issue with your 45th anniversary taken care of??

    I much like the look of that minicast, looks slick and light! I'm partial to a flea bag full of johnsons, does that sound wrong? 😄

      I’m gonna keep my eyes open for one of those little Daiwas. My curiosity as to rather or not the gold series is any better than the basic micro Daiwa..

    It’s about time that the Monkey made its return to a video, I’ve been patiently waiting.. lol. Assuming you were on flat ground, your 4 speed is faster than my 5 speed. I can only get about 54 mph and I weigh 165.

    • @TheGraytOutdoors
      @TheGraytOutdoors  4 місяці тому +1

      Hey there Donald!! I’ve missed ya!
      Yes the Monkeys are definitely still here and doing fine.. they’re in a lot of videos but nothing dedicated to “just the Monkey” … yet… I have a couple coming up though that’ll be travel/fishing/camping/Monkey oriented.
      I’ve heard the same thing about the 5spd Monkeys. Seems the extra gear and same 9hp doesn’t really help it, actually hurts the top speed..
      At one point, on a down hill I hit 70mph. Till that point, 67mph was my record.. Let me tell you, 70 is a bit scary. The slightest jiggle of the handlebars could be devastating.
      I just got through setting up my red Monkey similar to the blue one, with slightly larger side boxes.. thinking about off road tires on one of them.
      Anyway, good to hear from you Donald and I’ll try to get more Monkey in here for ya!!
      Willie

    • @donaldstopp5781
      @donaldstopp5781 4 місяці тому

      @@TheGraytOutdoors Yeah I bet 70 is a little scary, but you cant help seeing how fast the little monkey will go.. lol. Actually I don't even like going 54 mph, I'm a slow mini-biker. Next year I think I'm going to get a used Yamaha XT250 just for something different. I'll still keep the monkey though, I may just keep the monkey forever. Keep the great videos coming!

    Хай, Вилли. У Энди интересные катушки, особенно дайва с рулем! Мне давно стало интересно для чего предназначенно это колесо, но так и не нашел никакой информации об этом. Возможно если включить рычаг реверса то можно будет управлять сходом лески при помощи большого пальца примерно как при ловле стальноголового с поплавком и центерпин катушкой?

      Good Day!!
      The reel with the “steering wheel” is very interesting indeed. The information that Andy found on that reel stated that the “steering wheel” was there for extra control of the drag when the anti-reverse was disengaged.. so your assumption was very much correct.. personally, it’s a very small reel and I don’t believe that I would try to catch anything that large with it but I guess you never know what might decide to eat a lure.. I’ve caught some really large fish on small baits..
      Thanks again for watching and commenting!!

      55 mph is comfortable, anything above that is really torturing the little thing..
