      3 is equal to 3/1. To convert 3 or 3/1 to a fraction where the denominator is 3, multiply by 3/3.

      Another example.
      Convert 5 to a fraction where the denominator is 3.
      Multiply 5 or 5/1 by 3/3.

      For instance, the 15th term of arithmetic sequence is 5/12, the 15th term of harmonic sequence is 12/5.

      It means that -10, -3, 4,... is an arithmetic sequence. To find the nth term, use the formula
      an = a1 + (n - 1d.
      Since n = 14, a14 = a1 + 13d.
      After that, find the reciprocal and that will be the 14th term of harmonic sequence.

      9/3 = 3.
      3 is also equal to 3/1
      Multiply 3 to the numerator and denominator to make the denominator (1) equal to 3
      3=3/1= (3x3)/(1x3)= 9/3

      Jana, since the reciprocals of the terms of harmonic sequence form an arithmetic sequence, from 1/11, 1/15, 1/19, 1/23,..., we have arithmetic sequence 11/1, 15/1, 19/1, 23/1,... or simply 11, 15, 19, 23,...
      Determine the next term of the arithmetic sequence by generating the pattern or by using the formula.
      After that, find the reciprocal. And that is the term of harmonic sequence.

      1/2 is the lowest term of 4/8.
      Divide 4 to the numerator and denominator.
      4/8 = (4÷4)/(8÷4) = 1/2

      -1/4 ÷ 2 is equal to -1/4 x 1/2.
      (Multiply the reciprocal of the denominator. The denominator is 2. The reciprocal of 2 is 1/2)
      -1/4 x 1/2 = -1/8
