Hello! Im currently subscribed to Tokyo treat but it’s Too expensive for me, I was wondering what the most affordable subscription box you’re subbed to is, and is it worth it? Thanks!
Hello, and thanks for commenting! Yeah, TokyoTreat is pricey. The cheapest I'm subscribed to is Japan Candy Box, which is $30 a month USD. Japan Candy Box includes 10 items every month, but they don't do any sort of preview.
There are a couple of options. One is to switch to Japan Candy Box. Another is to look at the preview before they charge and decide month by month if the box feels worth it. The third is to instead of having a subscription box to set aside money and put in an order to one of the store sites like Japan Haul or Japan Candy Store (that one has free shipping on orders over $50 USD).
Personally, I've done all three at different times depending on my situation. I tend to prefer the more traditional snacks, like from Sakuraco and Bokksu, but I've also really enjoyed some of the treats from TokyoTreat and Japan Candy Box. I would recommend checking it out so you can see what Japan Candy Box sends versus TokyoTreat to help make your decision.
