I have one very similar. Pink counters though. Different bedroom layout. Cool to see original light fixtures. I've had to scavenge some. Use it for work area for my resale business. Was a rental and I lived in it for two years.. while Upgrading my 72 mobile home. Thanks for posting this!!!
@@vintagemobilehome2685 -Thank you, yes- had these trailers like bookends between a pretty patio up on the Santa Cruz Mountains. I had to mountain bike to get there, though did have electricity & hot running water. Good times!
There was a same type of home like this in a mobile home park in Nash Texas that wasn't being lived in. The front door had been replaced, sadly with a cheap wooden hollow core door that weathered badly. I wondered why it was not being lived in and one day I drove by and all the mobile homes in the same park were gone including that one. Hopefully some saved and restored it.
My grandparents had this same trailer. It is still being used by the grand children and great grand children. It has been covered with a wooden canape in the woods of Michigan.
Aren't you afraid your precious teller will go Skidding down that hill you have it parked on? That looks dangerously perched on the side too much to me. It's too nice to go tumbling into the lake. Thanks for sharing. Wish it was mine.
These weren't travel trailers so much as regular trailer park models for full time living.Back then, this would have been a larger example. The fuel oil furnace indicates that it was meant to live in while in a trailer park.
My grandparents used to have that one... So close. Purchased it used. Outside is drab but inside isn’t that bad. If it’s on your property. Use it as guest house.... You know to use extra bedrooms for them.
It is a 35' model. The body is 32 feet 10 inches, and it is 35' from the hitch ball to the end of the trailer. Trailer is 5600 lbs. Would have been towed with something like a '51 Buick Roadmaster. That would be a beautiful car for it.
Vents in the roof in each room with fans. Aluminum for reflection. But mostly Jalousie type windows that were intended to be able to be open even in the rain, with the trust that someone is not going to break in. Unfortunately that is not the case anymore Thanks for the question.
I wish there was a formula, but instead it seems just continuing to look. My finds span more than 10 years. I would suggest looking around resort lakes where people only use seasonally....that is the case for my best finds.
Only a lover of Nostalgia and classics would take the effort and time to keep in repair a trailer that has a lot of history and memories associated with it. It has to be fairly rare and probably is a collectors trailer .
I recently sold the lake property, but kept the trailer, which has a clear title. I moved it to my house where is sits in my back yard. I do think about selling it at times, i'd let you know. It is in South Carolina

Thanks 4 comment. Was fine while sitting there, but was heart pounding when it was backed down the hill above it into that spot right on the edge!!

That is a beautiful trailer! They made it as similar to a regular house as possible!
Birch wood was used

It’s like Lucy and Ricky in the long long trailer
That movie is hilarious! All that's missing is Lucy's *_rock-collection!_* HaHa
The trailer in that movie was plush ! I wonder what kind it was ?

Looking to sell this vintage Spartanette
What did they do to keep cool in those metal boxes back in those days

Thanks for the question.

Luv this! Thank you.

It's a big beauty!
very nice shape fir the age
Love it!!
What an awesome trailer!! Thank you for sharing!!
Love it. It’s a great size. Fix the leaks and fix water stains and it’s beautiful. Buff the outside to a shine and there you go.
How long is it? Weight? Thanks!
35' long. I have no idea of the weight, but tows well with a half-ton PU
@@vintagemobilehome2685 and in the fivties / sixties ??
with what a car was tow the trailer !
The trailer weighs 5600 lbs and was towed with a contemporary car or truck. Obviously speeds were slower in the early 50's.
How do you find these trailers? I would love to find one that is not a complete gut job . This is gorgeous!
I wish there was a formula, but instead it seems just continuing to look. My finds span more than 10 years. I would suggest looking around resort lakes where people only use seasonally....that is the case for my best finds.
Wow this is beautifull😍
How much does this usually cost?
It varies by location and their specific markets. Also original not restored versus full restoration. Expect to be looking at $10-15K.
vintagemobilehome okay,thank you 😃

Thanks for the kind comment. I do greatly appreciate old things that are made well
Is this for sale? What a survivor!
You already got a great royal spartanette Jeff!! So if this one is for sale she is mine LOL...or you sale me yours!! ;)
I recently sold the lake property, but kept the trailer, which has a clear title. I moved it to my house where is sits in my back yard. I do think about selling it at times, i'd let you know. It is in South Carolina
yes please consider :)
I'm interested. ;)
:)
Let me guess...air b&b
Great idea! Always worry if someone will not care for it the way it needs to be.
You would need a US Army tank to tow that trailer.
lol. Actually it is made with aluminum studs and well engineered for light weight. I have towed it with my half-ton PU.
Way cool!
Nice, thanks!
Those blinds are not original!
I see Opus!
