  • This is a video explaining how to correctly clean an audio amplifier. First please remove the amplifier from the rack and clean the outside. It is better to use an air compressor rather than a vacuum or canned air. Vacuum cleaners produce a static charge from the air being sucked in, and canned air can squirt out at less than -25 degrees Celsius (-13 deg F) which can crack casings of transistors.
    The electrical contact cleaner that I am using which is non-ozone depleting, safe for plastics and the PCB boards is Sprayon EL2302. You can see information here: www.sprayon.com....
