Ahhh thank you so much, I think I did say but I’m pretty smug about it 🤭 someone else has asked for a video about how I put it together so I think I will do one eventually!
I am so glad I found you and this video! This setup is exactly what I have been trying to create! Thank you! I just got my first hobonichi cousin and I ordered all the covers and so many stickers and some TN bands so I can customize my set up like this. THANK YOU!
That’s SO EXCITINGGG I hope you enjoy it!! Someone else in the comments said they also do this but they put the TN bands underneath the cover on cover because they found the bands snapped after rubbing on the edges of the plastic, so maybe you could also do that? Have fun stickering everything 🥰
I will never get over the collage on the HON. It's so pretty 😍 Your commonplace/scrapbook looks like it's going to be a really nice cosy space. The skull and moth fit in so well with that back deco. Glad you like it 😊
I have a TN cover for my Hobonichi and I love the way it sits there plus you can also add other stuff there, like you have - I haven't put the strings on the back but I love mine. I will be subscribing as I also live in the UK (rainy Devon) and there's not that many UK UA-cam peeps that I have found
Ahh thanks so much!! I’m really pleased with how that worked out! I think it’s especially nice with that notepaper design design too because some of the elements overlapped onto the middle where you write 😊
I decided to downsize a bit this year. I have my everyday carry, which is my only planner. It's a SI Pocket. That will be where I keep my schedule, tasks, and day-to-day notes of things I need to write down. My other book is a standard TN size. I went with the Sterling Ink N1 horizontal compact, plus an additional monthly booklet. The monthly booklet will be for tracking reading/hobby progress. The monthly and weeklies in the main book will be for memory-keeping and the back pages will be a commonplace of sorts. I'm a little nervous about it, but the book I've loved working in the most is the N1, so I'm giving it a go!
Yay! Perfect timing. I'm trying to decide on my 2025 planner. I have used the Hobonichi on and off for a few years now, but I think this year I just felt I need a change so I will use the Hemlock and Oak. Just ordered it! So excited for see it. Which pens did you like for the Hemlock and Oak paper? I might just keep my fountain pens for the Hobonichi.
That’s so exciting! I hope you enjoy it 😊 I think it’s great paper for pretty much any pen, but I tend to write with a Uni Jetstream in 0.5 in all my books, unless I’m using fountain pen! I did test some of my fountain pens in the H&O though and the paper is really nice for those too 😊
This year my setup is a new lt1917 for journaling, an old one with about 60 pages torn out for braindump, and a hobonichi weeks for regular planning/meal planning :)
The Yoseka x Stalogy notebook looks gorgeous! I am bit late on the Stalogy party and now wished I bought some partner merchandise on my travels. Amazing set-up btw.
I use to the bands around the spine but they use to break. Then I released it was the edge of the cover on cover. Where they were rubbing over time they would break. Then I put them under the cover on cover and they would last. Now for next year I’m not using any hobonichis at all. My first year in 7 year’s. Never heard of the second book you named, the green one. It looks interesting but not sure if I would use all of it.
Ahh thank you that is a good tip, I will try that! 😊 I think it’s nice we have so many planner/journal options to choose from now! The Hemlock and Oak is a lovely book but for sure there’s a lot of different things in it! I hope I can keep up with it all 🤞🏻
I have thought about it for sure! The only thing with being in the UK is that the tax on Sterling Ink products makes them REALLY expensive 🥲 I might think about it for future years though!
DIY-ing that cousin is genius?? I also want to get one but I’m not a vertical weekly kind of person and I feel like it’ll just go to waste. Nice to know I have options hahahahhaha
It was honestly pretty scary but I’m sooo glad I did it! It’s silly but literally a weight lifted off me once I’d gotten rid of all the weeklies 😊 you can definitely pull them out!! If I do it next year I think I will do a video on it, I was too scared to film it in case it didn’t work out 😅
So far my lineup is a cousin for journaling and daily logging, a weeks for planning, and a Sterling Ink N2 for my reading/media journal. I have the 2025 OURS Research journal which I’m looking forward to using for gratitude with a space to do a daily collage decoration. I also have a 5 year journal which I’m excited to use to log daily events, notable things, etc. Hopefully I’ll keep up with everything!
Great video! It seems like your planner set up is really dialed into your needs which feels like such an accomplishment. I'm still waffling back and forth on my 2025 line-up😅 I'm curious about how the Hemlock and Oak paper feels? I was literally just thinking "I need a Weeks in A5" and then you mentioned that H&O is quite similar.
Thank you so much 🥰 you still have time to choose though! The paper is very nice, super smooth but thick, it’s a little thicker than Midori MD paper if you are familiar with that? The H&O paper seems to take all my fountain pens and felt tip/ brush pens well!
The publisher/PR company she is working with actually reached out to me! I think that’s because I know Kat slightly and that helped me out 😅 I believe it’s still available to request as an advance readers copy on NetGalley though! NetGalley is how I usually get my ARCs 😊
I'm sure you've answered this question before somewhere but I gotta ask still: How do you deal with shipping costs from US stores? I believe some of your favorite are from the US? To ship to Germany it is usually around 20 bucks... is it cheaper for the UK or do you have a way to minimize costs? Any tips?
Hello! I actually haven’t answered this before I don’t think! Almost all the shops I like are actually Canadian rather than US-based, and I think Canada Post must just be cheaper than USPS, because I don’t find that cost is ever that expensive. I know my friend in America says USPS is very expensive! The only shop I’ve ordered regularly from in the US is The Giving Girl, and she sends things with stamps and as a ‘letter’ so that is affordable shipping, maybe $7USD? Hope this helps but do let me know if I haven’t answered very well haha! 😊
@bronteswannick Thank you so much for the reply! I'll have to check shipping for Canadian shops. That would already greatly expand my options I've seen so many pretty stuff from Canadian creators and always assumed it must cost an arm and a leg to ship from there too :') Thank you for your videos! I really enjoy getting inspired by your deco-ing style.
Turning your hobo cover into a TN to hold multiple books/things is so genius! Definitely see this becoming a super popular mod ❤
Ahhh thank you so much, I think I did say but I’m pretty smug about it 🤭 someone else has asked for a video about how I put it together so I think I will do one eventually!

Ahhh thank you so much Alex!! And yayyy I love the sticker so much, I’m glad it has a lovely spot where I can see it all the time 🥰

I think the HON looks really good. I think you can’t even tell you took pages out. The tape really helps. I think overall it looks nice.
The paper in that hemlock and oak planner looks lush!
Cannot wait to read that Katt Dunn book next year!!! Lucky you getting to read it in advance 😊
It’s reallyyy lovely, I’m really enjoying it! And omg yesss it’s the most incredible book, I hope you enjoy it when you’re able to read it 😊
THE CONNECTOR BANDS! Truly so many genius, lovely ideas!
Ahhh thank you so so much 🥰🥰 i’m so pleased it worked haha!
that oval cutout is a genius idea
Ahh thanks so much!! I’m really pleased with how that worked out! I think it’s especially nice with that notepaper design design too because some of the elements overlapped onto the middle where you write 😊
What a gorgeous lineup! Your decoration is my absolute favourite 💖
Thank you so so much 🥰
Tearing out the monthly and weekly pages is GENIUS! I tear out the monthly signature in my Moleskine dailies because they’re just too small to use.
That makes sense!! The Moleskine monthlies are kind useless 😅 I think there’s something to be said for making a book exactly what you want it to be 😊
Really enjoying this video! Great to see your line-up!
Thank you so so much 🥰
Love the bands for the hobonichi set up! Could you do a video of how you constructed that? That’s exactly what I want to do!
I absolutely can yes! It’s really simple to put together if you have all the bits and pieces 😊 and it doesn’t require loads of stuff even!
I love this collection of books! And your cousin cover is looking fantastic ❤
Thank you so much Jo! Fingers crossed my eye doesn’t wander throughout the year 😅
Fun line up! Very exciting to see more in future❤❤
Thank you so much!! Fingers crossed I can keep this line-up the whole year!

That sounds so lovely!! There is something so so nice about those smaller sizes, and they will be so easy to archive too 😊 I hope you enjoy them!
Looks like it will be a nicee scrapbook 👌🏽👌🏽 & the reading journal 💛
Thank you so much 🥰

@ Thank you! I have been meaning to get a Uni Jetstream, keep hearing about it, don’t know why I haven’t tried it yet.

Ooh lovely! Love that you’re using up an old notebook! I need to be better about doing that! 😅
The Yoseka x Stalogy notebook looks gorgeous! I am bit late on the Stalogy party and now wished I bought some partner merchandise on my travels. Amazing set-up btw.
Thank you so much 🥰 and yesss I’m so glad I picked it up, they really did such a good job with the colour!
Awesome ideas!! ❤
Thank you so so much 🥰

Have you thought about using the SI daily planner? It’s basically just daily pages of the Hobonichi cousin :)
I have thought about it for sure! The only thing with being in the UK is that the tax on Sterling Ink products makes them REALLY expensive 🥲 I might think about it for future years though!

Oooh that sounds like the perfect amount of books I think! I’m sure you’ll be able to keep up because they’re not all ‘every day’ books! 😊
Omg you have duck stickers on (I think) the April monthly in the Hemlock and Oak. Where are they from?? I love ducks so much
Me too!! I love any kind of water birds actually 😊 they are Sticker Magic ones, their stickers are so so cute and retro!
I'm obsessed with those monthly stickers on the top left of your hemlock and oak planner monthlies! Where did you get those?
They are from Killer Views on Etsy 😊 she has two types, those are the ‘tarot’ style I believe!
I spy the Heidiroo sticker in your thumbnail, so I watched your video!
Ahh I love this, thank you so much for watching 🥰 I absolutely love her work, I’m glad I can admire my little vampire guy every day now!
Where are your sticker calendars in your hemlock and oak from? They are precious!
They are from Killer Views on Etsy 😊 she has two types, those are the tarot style ones!
Whhhere did those little calendars with the moon phases in the Hemlock and Oak monthlies come from?? They are sooo gorgeous!
Should have just waited, you said later in the video!
Ahh yes sorry I should have said when I showed the H&O book too!

How did you get a early readers version of Kat Dunn’s book? I don’t think I can wait until next year
