Exactly! It's all about fundamentals. You can't build a lasting house without a great foundation. Cooking, if you learn French technical cooking, stocks and sauces you have an understanding of foundation. As you were saying

So intonation is the same as being sharp or flat?
Yep, that’s right. Your intonation is all about if you are right on pitch, if you’re sharp or flat, that means your intonation needs work 👍🏻

So early musicians were too simple minded to learn the ABC's to G before they had to start over lol. =)
