HOLY MOLY!!! Thank you!!! I can't believe I won! What a wonderful surprise ❣Yes, I am one of your OGs, been with you since the start, and I truly enjoy your podcasts! Thank you again and I will send you an e-mail!!
Glad you enjoyed it Kathryn and thank you so much for watching, that means a lot to me!! Today will be spent catching up on some more of your lovely episodes. You give me great inspiration!💕 xoxo Judy
@@TheAutumnAcornKnits You are so sweet! Thank you :) I am looking forward to your next episode but in the mean time I#m diving into your back-catalogue :) Have a lovely week! x x x x
Another wonderful podcast Judy; thankyou! Luv the ruffle cuff sockies! My favorite blanket i knit was with mohair.... so soft, & warm. Thanks for sharing!🥰❤️🧶
Thank you Deborah! It always makes me happy when you comment : ) That's really good to hear how much you love your mohair blanket. Do you have any issues with shedding at all or pilling?
@@TheAutumnAcornKnits None whatsoever! I also knit a large shawl with fingering weight & mohair that I use all the time, & it remains looking brand new after a winter's heavy use on an almost daily basis. Love the yarn combo for the comfy coziness & sheer luxury! (I did get the mohair at wholesale pricing at a lys that cannot restock that brand now. Luv those bargains!)🥰
Briggs & Little is a New Brunswick company. You can get their wool in the dollar stores here lol. I know a lot of people buy it to dye because it is inexpensive. A workhorse wool for sure! All of your projects look amazing! I am still working on my scrappy yarn crochet blanket (doing a DK-Worsted weight version right now). Thanks for your podcast. It was lovely to see your beautiful face as always 💙💙
Awww, I've missed you my friend. I know how busy this time of year can be for hand-dyers!! My sister once told me about B + L being in Canadian dollar stores so we visited one on our way home but no luck. We did find some great candy though : ) Thank you for stopping by and for your lovely comment Kim. I look forward to your next episode : ) Hugs, Judy
Thanks Judy, hope you’re staying strong - still thinking of you. Knitting is the best therapy and I love that you’re designing for neuropathy. I’ve just occasionally started getting it in my thumb - associated with arthritis.
Life sure can be hard Louisa, thank you so much for your kind comfort. I have been doing lots of knitting and that is my best company.💕 I'm sorry to hear about the start of your neuropathy. I can't imagine not being able to knit because of it, so if there's anything I can do to help, I will!! Thank you fo much for stopping by and for leaving a comment. It means a lot to me.💕💕💕
Glad you like them! They are definitely my favorite too. I only wish I wasn't so slow at knitting lace. Also, why in the world do I feel like I have to hurry up? Lol. Thank you so much for stopping by!💕💕
Love the cute new socks. I would love testing for you all your patterns and because I have neuropathy on my feet I love to test the worsted weight magic heel sock 😊🎉
How kind Kris, I will start off by adding you to the Magic Heel House Socks test today. I'll add you to the IG group and email you the pattern. You're my person : )
Love you apple socks very pretty. Khatadins is a sheep. There is a Black Locust Katidins sheep farm in Tennessee. I wonder if they same. You've becoming a prolific soc.k knitter.
Thank you Jeanne, I was so confused by that breed! Lol. As far as sock knitting, I never thought I'd see the day I'd want to knit so many pair. The problem is, most of the hand knit socks in my drawer have holes in them. I practically live in them though, and I mean year-round too so they get a ton of wear!! I just really enjoy the stockinette part. Hope you are well and thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment!💕💕
Hi Judy…Thank you for another wonderful podcast. I have Neuropathy in both hands and feet. I’m thrilled you are working on a pattern to help all of us with Neuropathy. It’s not easy knitting socks on a 1.5 us needle. 9” seems easier for me at the moment. Happy Memorial Weekend. Stay well.
Thank you! They have been a lot of fun to design, but definitely frustrating at the same time. I do love a challenge though. Thank you so much for stopping by Marilyn.💕💕💕
@@TheAutumnAcornKnits, do you have an expected date for release of this pattern? I would love to purchase it. I know exactly someone who should have these on their feet. I am doing all the sock things this summer, kal, camps, & challenges. Your pattern would fit right in. 😍 Have a great weekend! Terrie
So nice to meet you Helene! Magic Heel Socks are a type of "heel" I thought up a few years ago to help new sock knitters get over their fear of turning a heel. I never thought it would take off like it has and I'm very grateful for that!! Knitters found not only was it good for new sock knitters but also for knitting non-interrupting, self-striping socks, socks for kids and socks for anyone whose foot you couldn't measure (like gift-knitting). All of my magic heel socks are listed in my Ravelry shop. I hope this helps answer your question and thank you so much for stopping by!💕💕
I enjoyed seeing all of your socks and other things that you are working on. Will you be looking for test knitters for the worsted weight socks? They are what I usually knit. I'm not on Instagram.
Thank you for your visit and your kind comment! Yes, I will be needing testers for the worsted weight socks. Please email me if interested at judy@theautumnacorn.com. I'm curious, what yarn do you usually use for your heavy weight socks? I'm still looking for the perfect yarn. : )
I was interested in the 5 ply unspun yarn you showed. I purchased some too and had thought it was a 2 ply (my inexperience knowing it came in different plys). It has been sitting in my stash. It had been intended for a loose fitting sweater or cardigan, but I am not sure how to go about dividing it so I don't have the big chunky. In the event that you divide yours I will be watching to see how you do it (although sounds like you are using it as is). I am afraid of it falling apart when I try to divide it into one or two plys. Thank you for your nice podcast.
Hi Trudy, I think it should be pretty easy to separate into a 2 or 3-ply yarn but I’m really used to working with unspun. As long as you’re gentle and don’t tug on your yarn, it should be fine. I won’t know until I test it but I think 5-ply may be too thick for my forest mat but I can imagine it being awesome in an outerwear garment!! I definitely want to do some experimenting! Thank you for watching the podcast and for your thoughtful comment. Hugs, Judy💕
Hi Carmen, no, none of the socks I showed in this episode were Magic Heel Socks. I offer a bunch of magic heel sock patterns in my Ravelry shop if you're curious what they look like. Or you could search for the hashtag on IG and lots of them will show up for you. Thank you so much for stopping by!!💕💕

Hi! Just met you today ! Great podcast but what is a magic heel ???? I like to knit socks occasionally and wonder now…
