- Ron West, Griff Rhys Jones, Paul Merton, John Sessions
Authors - The story is "An Englishman and an Australian Batsman Meet Captain Pugwash," with Ron as William Goldman, Griff as Edward Lear, Paul as Nostradamus, and John as Philip Larkin.
Film and Theatre Styles (1) - John and Griff are the last two people on Earth, in the styles of Noel Coward, spaghetti western, and silent movie.
Film and Theatre Styles (2) - Ron and Paul are in a joke shop, in the styles of Andy Warhol, Rocky 20, Tom and Jerry, and horror.
Aw Griff is so committed to his work!
And John Sessions' reaction afterward was adorable.
Note the difficulty that 2nd City Players have with this type of improv comedy. Their approach is to give each other opportunities to play off the scene. WLIIA style comedy is more competitive, with each contributor trying to be as funny as they can in their own right. Only a few minutes out of each show are truly collaborative. Both styles are great, don't get me wrong, but this is why 2nd City rarely comes off strong in this format, while more individualistic players do better - American or Brit.
didn´t expect seeing you here
Cannot believe the sock thing just happened!
that's actually the second time Griff has done something weird with John involving his feet, I'm sure he did something similar on HIGNFY
I think that was one of the single most random moments I have seen on Whose Line yet, classic!
The horror portion of Ron and Paul's F&TS was so funny. "Oh my god my legs have been cut off" is one of the funniest lines I've ever heard from Ron. XD
John, Griff and Paul in the same lineup? EPIX!
"It's all wet."
I love John and Griff together
I have never seen anybody crack John Sessions up the was Griff does.
Wow, the presentation is like a current affairs show.
everyone worked so well together. griff the sock muncher xD great ep :D
John's legs at 6:38 - :40!!
This is one of the best FATS sketch eveeer.
young john sessions somehow reminds me of young tom hanks.
they have taken the suggestion of spaghetti western 3 times now on my count
"I'm John Denver. I'm too bland to die!"
Lol, how true!
John and Griff like twins
Just been watching some HIGNFY and jumped to this, my god Paul looks young! He's got a baby face! Adorable man :)
"And lo, it shall come to pass in that far off land of Albion, some 400 years from now, when Australians with willows will hammer the crap out of Englishmen..." Gotta love Paul Merton.
I feel really bad for Ron in this episode. He's clearly very nervous.
That was so cute... mildly gross, yet so cute! I don't think it would be so bad if those two were the last men on earth. :-)
Griff looks kind of like John Sessions
I'd like to think he was actually so caught up in what he was doing he didn't realise he was eating a sock. It seemed that way. I wonder what was going through his head before he ate it :p.
He put a sock in it! :)
I wonder if this is only one of many crazy things that could happened if John and Griff was the tow last men on the earth well at least it would not be a boring place to be in.
Did John and Griff work togethe professionally? I'm just wondering because they have good chemistry.
Griff was one of the funniest performers on the british version.. Pity he wasn't in more episodes..
07:07 "wait a minute, that was not a handkerchief?" (
@xXLuxAeternaXx Have you checked out Have I Got News For You? Griff is not on there, but Paul Merton and Ian Hislop are absolutely hilarious in it. Cheers from America.
I KNOW RIGHT? I got them confused in the opening introduction!
Poor, poor Griff
Funny for the most part, but did Sessions have to make fun of John Denver?
What the fuck..... are Griff and John identical twins?
What is John's IQ? 200?
