22:52 That is indeed Graham. Linehan.
The ‘Sorted’ bit was genius.
Back in the 90s we had all night TV for the first time, a few times a night they would put on a brief cooking show called ‘Get Stuffed’, usually in place of adverts. It was rubbish but very much in the style of ‘Sorted’.
“Liquid football “ “foot like a traction engine “ I can’t believe I’ve been using these phrases for 30 years 🤣 still holds up today……the day today if you will
Eat my goal!
@@cjstatoAnd another !!
"You've lost the news!"
11:58 Early appearance by Minnie Driver as the woman being scanned with the prosthetic pregnancy
Good spot. And confirmation of Stephen Toast’s thesis that she has ‘a big face’.
"Those are the headlines. God, I wish they weren't".
As true then as today.
I Love Rebecca Front.
There, I said it.
You're not alone...
Watching you two laugh should be prescribed on the NHS as a little pick me up for people, 30 mins of Brad and Lucy every day would make everyone happier! I was thinking of you both earlier, I was watching Tim Vine being interviewed on Richard Herrings superb show called RHLSTP, it's on UA-cam and a lot of fun, Richard Herring was actually part of a double act for many years with Stewart Lee who you've also reacted to, they were called 'Lee and Herring' and made some great TV shows.
That's what everyone else thought.
Hi Brad & Lucy. A few years ago I had access to free-to-view CNN 24hr news station. Among the names of anchors and reporters were ‘Wolf Blitzer’ and ‘Coy Wire’.
These names tend to strike as very strange and may have led to some of the wonderful names featured in The Day Today: Eugene Fraxby, Alabaster Cody, Romela Belx, Beverley Smax, Chuck Fadanoid 😂
If the Beeb still made stuff as astonishing as this, I probably wouldn't be here typing this!
Love your channel guys keep the glasses😂
My dog has just undergone a controlled explosion. The neighbour's cat looks charged.
So where's the dog's bollocks? .......
The "Sorted" sketch is a parody/exact copy of a student cooking programme called "Get Stuffed".ua-cam.com/video/N3jJb9TgJcg/v-deo.html
brilliant! Chris Morris perfects it in Brass eye. Just missing Partridge but for the best in the end.
"Bomb Dogs" is pitch-perfect. The graphics!
They're both off their mash on guff.
Chris Morris based his main presenter character on political journalist Jeremy Paxman, who used to properly grill politicians with a no-nonsense, aggressive, almost Gestapo-interrogation technique.
The voice, style and personality are eerily accurate!
The total 'randomness' you note in this is exactly the way that Monty Python first hit us as young schoolkids in the early 70s. It has since become almost 'normalized' because everyone has seen it, but there is no escaping how radical it was at the time.
This is now some 30 years old, but I note that a lot of news & other broadcasts have not really developed above the satire of themselves.
I'm sure that Sorted is a spoof of a show that was called Get Stuffed that used to be on TV late at nght the intro and the presenting style is spot on.
Gerry Adams voice get dubbed when he was on the news
One of the funny yet very profound sketches, ridiculing very strange circumstances . The censoring had it's desired effect. I remember watching TV interviews in the 80's as a kid thinking they MUST be the bad guys because they're not allowed to speak on TV like everyone else. Very dehumanising and surely something we're better off without whatever your position on the whole topic might be.
@@jimb9063 Well they weren't good guys, they didn't care about democracy in Northern Ireland.
@@joebloggs396 Sure. Difficult to find good guys in charge anywhere when there are deep rooted long lasting issues.
Point being, other involved parties at the time were not treated the same way, including others who were seen as terrorists too.
@@jimb9063 Their bombing British citizens and the British government probably played a part in that. The Republic was likely biased to the IRA as their constitution claimed there was only one Ireland.
He jumped up the get the ball and he just kept going 😂😂😂 and then the spaceship jumping other spaceships 😂😂😂 OMG
Like the office, a parody. Great reaction, good to laugh again at this.
Did you spot Minnie Driver in the U.S. segment?
She would later appear on Knowing Me Knowing You
@@michaeljohn1978 indeed!
I always thought 4 & 5 were the best eps.
The glasses are awesome, ignore those without style.
whenever i see sports on news the presenters always remind me of Alan Partridge. Steve Coogan nailed it totally
Who saw Graham Linehan (writer, Father Ted) as one of the “SORTED” blokes?
Happier days for Graham, to be sure
That was a funny intro 😂
great stuff
Get a VPN and do Brass Eye!
Natus/Natii 😂😂😂

Probably too embarrassed to ask, I'm not!
Also, while I have you. The glasses are nice in doses. Nothing aboot your videos confoonds me, it's all gooooooood!
I really love your accent, it distinguishes you from... Us! Rule Britania! And very much one of her greatest achievements. Canada!
Nope, still don't get it.
There's nothing to get, apart from the fact that it's just silly and surreal.
It's very hit and miss. Much like Frankie Boyle.
Guess you had to be there.
Don't worry mate, you've always got your Mrs Brown's Boys DVDs to fall back on
And, you never will. Now, fact me till I fart.
