Finally, someone played the whole piece by Bloch, and not only "Nigun". Brilliant performance 👏

At last, a performance with Bloch's dynamic sharing intact instead of the masterpiece being used as violin showpiece. The piano part is equal and is superb here with Suyeon showing that she knows this. The result is what is on the page, tenderly and joyously played.

Thank you for beautiful music. This video clip has been the lullaby for my now 6 year old son for the past 2 years. We play it every night after prayers and he is out for the count by the beginning of the second movement. The violinist has become a personal favorite. Regards, Charl Paulse from Cape Town, South Africa.

It must be difficult for the jury. Who can ever tell, who is "the best"? Is there any "best"? Which star at the sky shines most beautifully? Which flower in the garden is the loveliest?

She is adorable when she play artificial harmonics on G string in end of 1st movement and near the end of 2nd movement from lowest end to sound more religious. Hovhaness music always reminds me whole part of both movements without aggressive note above open string on G in middle of them.

Wow interesting! Can you tell me which Hovhaness pieces sound like this in particular? I would love to listen to it also!
      Thanks

You do not have to be Jewish to play this piece in such a magnificent way!

Also, Hovhaness music always reminds me her position in very beginning of first movement.
