There are just no words to express just how incredibly AWESOME this lesson is!!! The notation is pure perfection....the way it's sectioned off and your ability to play it absolutely perfect both a slow speed and up to speed is truly AMAZING!!! I just wanted to say thank you a million times over for this, as well as, sharing your talent with us guitarist hoping to reach your level of playing one day!!
Total accuracy magazine tab & demo way back in 1990 taught me (the intro )--to slide --9 --11 th fret --that was 30 years ago --maybe they got it wrong ?--anyhow --the rest is superb ---!
Thanks! I original learned from Guitar for The Practicing Musician in the late 80s, so around the same time. Was always so much fun to get those magazines in the mail each month. :)
This is SUCH a great lesson! Perfect, easy to follow walkthrough! Learning songs these days is SO much better than in the 80s and 90s when you had to figure it out in front of your record player with tablature from Guitar magazine.
Hello Mr. freak, I just want to say that you’re awesome! Everything you play a spot on! This channel is my go to when I wanna learn the hard stuff! You rock, sir!
I've walked through a few of your lessons now. The approach is fantastic and the real versions are impeccable. I've saved many. Each time I'm ready for another I grab one and you always get me through them. Thanks so much.
Your lesson on this is the most thorough and easiest one I have found so far in all UA-cam to follow. There was some areas I was stuck on and you help me clarify those for me. Thx a bunch. Keep rocking!!
Fantastic! ive been looking for a guide for this and the fact that you go through it slowly step by step is a really great way of teaching. I find the sections really helpful is it puts what your playing into your mind, and the fact that the whole solo is all in one video is really helpful so thank you very much!
I'm playing in 2 days electro guitar , I have no idea about your technique but this is my favorite song all the time . I want 1st solo this even its really difficult for me . I will be successful , I believe .
Really awesome tutorial.. You do a great job of adding the little nuances and have really givem some more insight into the song as well as playing in general... I rate a tutorial as successful when you get to learn more than just the song.. You have really good technique and your tone and timing is really great aswell... Thanx for sharing.
The best tutorial I have come across of hotel california in youtube! Box by box, disecting every part in the simplest possible way. You a great teacher to aspiring solo guitarist like me! You made me wanna continue my guitar journey.. Thanks so much! More power to you and your youtube channel.. 🤘💥🎸
Thank you so much I'm a violinist but I always wanted to learned this guittar part on Hotel California but I was unable to get it properly, you're an awesome teacher!
Incredible lesson! Instantly subscribed. Your "boxes method of teaching is so good, you should patent it! Best teacher of a solo on the internet. Going to surf your site all day, hoping to find a lesson on the Eruopa version from Moonflower. Thank you!
Sei incredibile! Si vede che ti diverti molto a suonare ed ad insegnare ... Ti avessi conosciuto 20 anni fa a quest'ora sarei una bravissima chitarrista! Infinitamente grata 😘
This is the best solo of hotel California I've come across..I love it..I would appreciate if you can do other eagles songs as well, like peaceful easy feeling, lying eyes, take it easy , one of this nights etc .thankyou very much...your awesome.
Awesome, awesome, awesome...as usual! Thank you soo much for putting this one up. Perfectly done. I have no reason to keep putting off learning this one now, lol. Such an iconic and fantastic solo.
Can you unpack the solo for the Beatles' "She's a Woman"? Lots of lessons out there that either don't quite do it right or do it right, but skip the technique of how to do it. From how you covered this one, I know you are the one to do it and teach it right. Please?
This one was so much fun to earn brother, thank you thank you. I know you've mentioned it before but how do we support you and get access to your tabs again? Too much '80s metal has melted my brain. Lol
I follow your tabs on Hotel California solo, I noticed that yours is so much different to most on UA-cam. Its hard to know if we are learning it correctly if we cant hear your version played by yourself. The Harmony section is the one that really is off the scale compared to everyone else playing it. I love yours as it seems the easist but not sure if its correct.
UA-cam was forced to remove my original video that included the performance, by someone claiming to own the rights to the original song. Apparently, my performance was too close to the original 😉. However, because of your request, I have uploaded a video on the Rumble website, showing me perform the solo. Because it is a new upload over there, it is not showing up in searches, but you can use this web address: rumble.com/v3q5wn7-hotel-california-guitar-solo-with-tabs.html
Hey Dave, that was very generous of you! You ROCK! As for my email, I just sent you a message thru the PayPal system, if that didn’t work let me know! 🤘🏼
It's interesting how all the tabs I've seen including this has him playing a couple notes on the 12th fret. For the start of the solo I mean. But, when I watched Felder demonstrate the solo for guitar world he never plays on the 12th fret.
Yes - if you read the video description, it has instructions. Of course, if you don't want to pay for it, you can always just pause the video and take screen shots. :)
I am 100% confident it starts at the 3rd fret. If you have the capability to do so, try taking the original track and slowing it down to somewhere between 50 and 75% speed. Then isolate that slide and listen carefully. Thanks, and best of luck to you in learning the solo :)
Hi, I had two requests come in today for these tabs, and have emailed them both in the last hour. If you have still not received them, please let me know. Also, I usually email within 24 hours of the request. My real job sometimes slows me down :)

By far the best lesson of this solo on UA-cam. Easy to understand the notation seems right on. Thanks so much for posting!
Thank you Bill! Glad you liked it! :)
Great lesson. Always wanted to learn this and now,at 75, you have helped me to do that!

Thanks Dave. This is one of those all time greats, that have scared me to attempt. Now at 77, with your expert help, I'M NAILING IT.
So glad to hear that, Bob. My favorite comment of the day!

Here before the Eagles swoop in and snatch it off the 'Tube.
Swoop in? Was that a pun? :)
@@PDXguitarfreak
You should define “Swooping Eagles” as more specifically, the Don Henley “Heavy Hand - Fickle Finger of Fate.”
I see what you did there .
This is awesome! Love your breakdowns brother!👍 They never disappoint😎
Hey thanks bro, I try my hardest 😊🎸
@@PDXguitarfreak It always shows and it is much appreciated 👍
your lessons are really the best on you tube
Awesome, awesome, awesome...as usual! Thank you soo much for putting this one up. Perfectly done. I have no reason to keep putting off learning this one now, lol. Such an iconic and fantastic solo.
Wow! ..the best tutorial, great job! ✨👌
Great lesson as usual. Must say that just playing one guitar part the Felder stuff works best. Thanks again 🎸
Love the detailed coaching.
One of my favorite solos to play. I play the harmonized section alittle differently because of just one guitarist, but great job.
the best lesson forever
Absolutely brilliant solo tutorial 👍🏻 ……… Strike 1 😂
Thank you sir.
Eagles are gonna get ya!
LOL I'm ready! :)
@@PDXguitarfreak Glad to hear that! LOL
What you hear is pretty darn good, man. Thanks, I can surely work with that. 🎉
Thanks for sharing, new subscriber here in Canada.
Great job- like all your videos, also its a fun solo to play!!
This is a nice way to learn it,thnxs.

Too much '80s metal has melted my brain. Lol
LOL thanks brother Dave! In the description of the video, I always list the ways to make donations and/or buy tabs. Happy Friday! 😎🎸
Sorry for starting a new comment thread.
Great job! What gear do you use for the Don Felder part?
i love eagles they take your earnings
Thanks for the lesson 🔥🎸 I was wondering also is there variations in pick attack in this solo for example the force that you hit the strings ?
Gooood
thanks❤❤❤

Hi David,
Your tutorial for this song is great ( Hotel California ). Do you have this song tabs in Am instead of Bm?
Hello. Thanks for the awesome tutorial! What is the turn around time for tabs? I purchased a few days ago - thanks!
Hi Erin, I emailed the tabs to you a little over 48 hours ago. Can you check your email again?
@@PDXguitarfreak Got the tabs -- thank you!
Dave, I did the PayPal thingy. But I didnt add a note or my email address.
Is there another way I can get that to you?

I use TH3 amp simulator and I don't know how to get the same tune plz help
It was played through a vox super reverb I think .

is there any way we can get the tab?

Bending with the pinky? Why tho, it makes it harder
Sure, but being able to do so only makes you more versatile :)
Why does he been down on the sevens but he bends up on the 10 I don't understand
😍
I'll try to keep Don Henley busy and cut his internet cable.
LOL 😇

I hate solos that use notes between the dots. So confusing. 😁
I an sorry ----the intro starts on the 9 th fret String --NOT the 3 rd ---that long slide sounds off !

Great vids, i feel like you always cover solos and close to the oroginal as possible
Thank you, Peter, that is my goal :)
@@PDXguitarfreak it also helps that it is very easy to follow, you have done well with how you layout the vids/teach us.
