So sad that so many people don't know how badly they've treated their taste buds. The don't understand how good raw, fresh vegetables can taste. They don't understand how GOOD it feels to be healthy because of live healthy food. This pizza looks AMAZING! I will definitely be trying this in my own kitchen. Delish!

I can't tell you how much I appreciate all the food tutorials! I live in Minnesota so it's quite hard in the winter to get fruits and veggies that are cheap and in season (the only thing in season is apples, and it's quite hard to find a farmers market) but your videos give me so many ideas.

I started a raw diet a week ago (I feel great) and pizza is the only food I've missed! Today I had a slice of raw pizza at Erewhon in LA and it totally satisfied my craving! Thanks for explaining how it's made. You're gorgeous!

soooo excited to try this! I got lazy with eating raw in the past two months and started getting stomach pains and nausea from all the processed food and greasiness, but now I'm trying to slowly incorporate raw eating back into my life. Still enjoying my homemade yogurt full of probiotics, and now I'm starting to feel a lot better again. Also, I can't stand greasy pizza for the life of me, so this will be a great substitute for myself!

I thought it would taste bad, but no it wasn.t I will never go back to cheese pizza. Keep in mind everybody's tastes are different, although I just started raw foods becAUSE I am 300 lbs. I am seeing a raw food dietition to get myself in check. I thought I would hate this because all mg life vegetables sucked . I have been learning ways to make them taste good, plus I got full on 2 pieces weird.

Hi heather. I too am around 300lbs. If you saw my pic- I don't look like I weigh that much, but I do. I am surfing to find what type of Food Lifestyle change I want to do. Thinking of Weight watchers - counting pts are easy for me. Then, veggies and fruit sound right too. Problem: I am a meat person. But, thinking about leaving the hormone infested chicken alone. Well, hope your journey is going well. God bless.

90% of the pizza taste everyone is familiar with comes from the odor of the byproduct from the chemical reaction done when heating green bell peppers and oregano herb - furthermore i have tried many a variants of these ''raw vegan'' dishes and can testify to their good taste and consistency - now when you say healthy veggies combine looks ''disgusting''... what the fuck is so attractive about cow puss fermented for long periods of time and other crap i won't even mention.

I guarantee the disgust in the comments wouldn't be so strong if you put all that stuff in a bowl and called it a salad. The attempts of raw vegans to do things like pass off cauliflower as "cheese" or "mashed potatoes", dehydrated flax seeds and zucchini as dough, etc., and then pass of their strange and novel creations as foods we already know and have strong expectations for ... that's what leads to the disgust and scorn. It's basically people rolling their eyes at the hypocrisy of rejecting traditional food then trying to capitalize off of the mental association with tastiness. If raw vegans REALLY think that cheese (or as you called it, fermented cow puss) and the other ingredients in pizza were a priori disgusting things they'd not be trying so hard to find replacements. Instead they'd be perfectly happy creating their own new foods with new, non-disgusting, associations.
These culinary creations would be less scorned if you just gave them new names and stopped intimating that they taste anything like the "originals". Cauliflower is NOT cheese! I say this as someone who watches a lot of raw vegan videos (I think that most of the recipes look unpalatable, but some do have possibilities).

    thanks!!

Love the fact you don't add salt, pepper, other spices. May I make suggestion: to avoid dealing with enzyme inhibitor issues with nuts/seeds, why not make pizza crust with soaked raw buckwheat? I've read that soaking buckwheat turns it from a grain to a veggie. Then process and dehydrate as usual.

What do you do if you don't have a dehydrator?

    • @AWanderingEye
      @AWanderingEye 10 років тому +1

Misaki Uesugi: you can set your oven on a low setting (200 or thereabouts) and put the food on a rack on your pan (to get airflowing underneath) and then just check periodically. Will take longer since it doesn't have the fan. But it shouldn't cook the food, just dry it out. For sure if doing juicy items, blot them before putting in to reduce the surface moisture as much as possible.

Suerte!

the most important part of a pizza is the dough....the fact that you didn't show how to make it. is a little bothersome.

I'm not vegan or anything (althought I eat very little meat and I am mindfull of where I get it) I do link to find inspiration from this kind of diets, but they are too extrem at my sense, I prefer a well balanced diet inspired from them (but I totally respect those how chose too follow them). Anyways - The point is I'm inspired to make a different version of this (vegetarian with vegan option) here is what I would do :
    - add nuts to the crust for added proteins and calories
-add some natural sweetner such as honey or maple syrup to the sauce
-put some sort of pepper in the sauce (and less celery)
-change the topping to : cheese (I would go for goat cheese, a vegan option would be almond cheese), black tomatoes, mangoes, ananas, fresh herbs, corn.
I might add some oil to it - a drizzle of olive oil maybe?
Let me know what you think!

Can we substitute anything else for the celery? For some reason I can't stand celery so if I can replace it I would like to.

+Cara D You might wanna give fennel a go. It taste great and it is as crunchy as celery plus it has amazing healing properties, it helps digestion, soothes the stomach, remove bad breath. I love it

No??? I don't understand why hating one vegetable out of the multitudes of others which I am fine with would suggest such a thing for you.

+Cara D Carnist = someone who thinks with the stomach over the heart
Vegan = someone who thinks with the heart over the stomach
You can use green onions instead..just reminding you of what veganism really means.
