Anyone watching should pause, try and think about why the image is visually successful before y’all keep going, and then compare between what you thought and what pat describes. It will really help highlight your own strengths and weaknesses in understanding visual patterns 😊
Love this new series! Perhaps it may also be worthwhile to talk about an image that the artist felt did NOT work well and try to analyze why that image isn't working and what could potentially be done differently?
These types of videos where you analyse photos and provide tips on how to further improve them are amazing - looking forward to the rest of the series!
great series idea, I love how it takes the concepts of composition and applies them practically to a finished creation. very helpful for learning, thank you
This is so super usefull!! Love to hear that you are going to make more break down video's! Going to watch the visual pattern series again as well. Thanks!
This is so great....Please keep it coming! I am at half way through and I have to stop the video to comment this lol Really learned a lot from this. Some of your explanation matach with my thoughts and it's like "alright! I guess I am doing it right sometimes" and many of your explanations also introduced the "aww I seeee!".
Awesome feedback and analysis! I love how you pointed out the Bermuda Triangle at 18:23 😊. I have a habit of always wanting something dead center, so I waited a bit to get the shot. Thanks for having me, Pat 🫶
Photography critique videos are aplenty on UA-cam. But somehow yours is structured in a way that's not overly subjective and informative on the technique applied. Maybe it is because of the photos you have selected or you are friends with the photographer. It would be interesting to see more episodes, maybe with the photographer present to give some form discussion or would you do critique on fan submissions?
Wondering why I haven't come across your videos earlier than this! I love this. It has forced me to go back and look at some of my works and analyse and re analyse them. Weldone!
Hi Pat, I started you visual patern series a few week ago. Lisining to one eatch week and going out to apply the theorie :). I also got you LightRoom preset, and I must say my pictures come out like bangers. You are a true master of your craft and I am happy you put some free content out.
@@patkay you Lightroom presets made me realize how mutch I am lacking with my understanding of color. Any recommendations of content or read about the theory of color?
Thanks for the instruction. Interesting visual ideas. But, I do miss interesting or meaningful subject matter in these photos. Do the visual patterns alone carry a photo?
I think i'd be a good idea to leave the photo descriptions until after the photos is analyzed. It creates bias. The image should be able to stand alone, and will be seen first, then inquired about.
A few issues with anti-aliasing and syncing on this first one! Next episodes will work perfectly =)

Great idea! thx!

Love this idea!
Great idea! I'll see if any upcoming photographers are willing to share something vulnerable like that.

Thank you for the new series.
Who needs school for photography when we have you! thank you so much for all you do

YAY, if it's a continuation of sorts from the visual pattern series is already a must like :)
Haha, I hope it's just as useful!

Thanks for being the first guinea pig haha. Much love to ya brotha
This series will be so helpful!! I'm always so fascinated with Alan Schaller's work, perhaps he'd be interested? He's also on UA-cam now😊
Never heard of him, but I'm sure if he ever reaches out to me I'd love to have him on!

i´d be great if you had Hector Vivas in this series!! his work at the olimpics was stunning
I'm sure if he ever reaches out I'd love to have him on!

Please do a similar thing with subscriber photos! Let us submit our photos for you to analyze.
Nice! How do we submit?

First as always
You got it!
