    Mamidikaya Pappu is a great favorite in our house, and we enjoy chundu/chundo for an occasional sweet pickle. I do not love sweet pickle, but this one is just spicy enough and works well with methi tepla for a Gujarati double.

    Wow Gita. Such amazing recipes with green mango 👏👏. Am going to try the salad, the pappu , rasam and the raita for sure. Love your little eeya chombu 🤗. I can give you one more recipe. Slice the mangoes, dip them in regular bajji mavu and fry ! Tastes yummy 😊. Looking forward to ripe mango recipes next 👍

    Namaste mam.Thanks for sharing the seven different types of raw mango recipes which are easy to make.Real raw mango dhamaka to be enjoyed for the whole week.The wooden ladle which you used in rasam was very nice looking .My pranams to both of you mam.

    Anna we make a curry with raw mango, coconut gratings, udad dal, methi seeds, haldi, small piece of jaggery.
    We don't peel the raw mango.just cut it in medium cubes. Add water n little haldi n boil or steam in cooker . Grind fresh coconut gratings along with 1 TSP fried udad dal n methi, jaggery and red chillies to smooth paste.add to boiled mango pieces n water . Bring to boil. Season with mustard n curry leaves.we call it kairi ghashi

      Include more fruits and veggies. Use low fat milk Avoid buying bakery items
      increase physical activity
      you can give poha/idli for breakfast, try to use single polished rice for lunch , main thing is the whole family should eat healthy soother is no temptation. include fruits instead of juices
      South Indian food is healthy
      poha/idli for breakfast
      midmorning any fruit
      Lunch Single polished rice plus plentynof vegetables , dal , rasamand buttermilk
      evening
      any dried fruits/nuts or roasted snacks,
      dinner also roti plus sabzi or dal

    Ambya sasam
    Take ripe small local mangoes. Wash n peel. Don't discard peels. Slightly squeeze mango n remove pulp. Not all.
    Add little water to peels n squeeze out juice. In a pan add 1/2 cup water. Add mangoes n pulp. Cover and cook for 5 minutes. Meanwhile take 1 cup fresh coconut gratings, 2-3 red chillies, little haldi, little salt and 1/2 TSP raw mustard, few seeds of methi little water and grind to smooth paste. Add to boiling mangoes. Stir. Boil for few minutes season with mustard and curry leaves. Eat with roti or puri
