Although Big Bill Broonzy and Jazz Gillum were not the first to record this song, it is their version that is considered as the standard 8 bar blues "Key To the Highway". Piano player Charlie Segar recorded it earlier but his version was a 12 bar blues.
I tried to add some unusual variatons to this 'done to the death' song ;-)

It's so nice to see someone who teaches guitar who can actually play! So many of these "UA-cam guitar teachers" can demonstrate a lick or two OK, but can't play their way out of a wet paper bag when it gets right down to it.

Seven negatives......clearly these people are not players or true blues lovers. This performance of a BBB number is magnificent. Yes, particularly, the old original mainly black performers had that special feeling, that rawness in the voice that screamed the blues, a sound I love....BUT, it doesn’t mean these posts by quality performers don’t deserve a huge thumbs up. Thanks also DSP for your Levee Breaks, learning that one too thanks to you and MM of course.
