I don't wanna be pinned - I just wanna know why you paint every nose red 💋
This is literally my favorite channel on UA-cam, the vibes, your history, your personality, how you actually share what you know and share your amazing artwork... Thank you for everything!♥️
Absolutely My Pleasure ♥

I've recently started using watercolor so this helps so much!
The most important tip of watercolor:
Use 2 water jars: 1 for cleaning your brush, the other for clean water.
Damn I always used one jar and refilled
I love how he added "that's all that I know", implying that he's also still learning (we all are) and that there's a lot more information out there.
Great video, as usual! ♥️
Man I wish you were my dad, I love art and I’m trying to purse art as a career in my future (I’m in Highschool) but my dad makes it difficult. He doesn’t even acknowledge my art at all, it hurts me and I always imagine having a good dad, someone who cares about me and what I love
I'm sorry. My dad wasn't the best either but towards the middle of his life he changed for the better, apologized and tried his best. Parents are flawed people too, we make many, many mistakes and regret things in our lives and regret some of the things we did parenting our children. You keep going with your art, do it for YOU. If no one else ever tells you this, just remember you are worthy. Your feelings, your life, your dreams and desires and ART all matter in this world. Sometimes parents forget that their children need reassurance and acceptance. Keep your head up and keep pursuing your passions. You're doing a great job, you're awesome. My dad has passed on now, I only have my mom left I'm 36 and she still doesn't accept the path I've taken in life, she says she does but it's obvious that's not the case. Sometimes we have to be secure enough in our decisions to not let important people in our lives sway us. In a few more years you'll be an adult and on your own, even then parental support helps but we keep growing and evolving and eventually get to the point where no one else's opinion matters as much as our own. Find your version of happy and let the rest go. I pray this helps and that you see your true value and how lovely and important your art is.

Hope you'll be okay❤
i guess you just need to prove him wrong
You just have to accept that maybe your dad doesn't care, no point hoping he will - you'll just make yourself unhappy expecting it all the time
Actual artists: this is a lot of help, thx!
Schools still using bad watercolours and paper: no thank you, we’re good
yeah, it really sucks terribly how underfunded art in schools are. both my parents are teachers and SO much of the art supplies are bought by themselves, its really tragic
My school provided the paper but not the paints. To be fair the paper is so expensive. 😢
My art room has like- everything- I guess I’m lucky
i love the cover of your sketch book ❤️❤️
Thanks

I love how joyful you are in every video
More informative and better than every tutorial that I've ever seen ! Thank you ❤️
I'm scared but I'm actually going to try watercolor for the first time wish me luck :)
Good luck! ♥
This is nearly a yr later, so I hope ur better at watercolor now❤
One of my favorite youtubers that uses watercolors (I believe) is huta chan. Her art is so pretty and she uses watercolors so well.
I love watercolour and am always trying to improve. I love this video, it covers all the basics!
I love to start using the darkest tones! I use purple for shadows, and start my illustrations by painting the shadows so the color is not so purple at the end then I do the highlights with yellow or orange, and at last the mid tones. I do this because my watercolor style is more blended than stylized and that is what works the best for me so if you're a beginner in watercolors, don't be afraid to experiment, what's beautiful of watercolors is how versatile they are and how easily it can be adapted to any art style!
Please make a video on different watercolor paper🙏
I love your passion for your craft, thank you so much for making great content as always.
Watercolors are absolutely some of my favorite paints.
For a while I've wanted to step out of my comfort zone of digital art to start using watercolors. And this gave me the confidence I needed. Thank you :)
Thank you! I always have trouble using watercolor and this guide is really helpful for me🙏
Because of you I started doing water color. I’ve came such a long way and learned so much from you! Please don’t ever stop making videos!
PEEWEE!! 😂👌🏽really amazing job btw!!
I was literally just breaking out my watercolors, paused for a second to check my phone and this gets reccomended! I’m using a travel kit and some watercolor paper, this will definitely stay in my mind as a paint! Thank you
Omg I remember peewee Herman I loved his movies as a kid (and I still watch them lol)
woah good explanation Scott, hope this helps me teach myself thanks Scott!
My mom was aces with watercolor. I'm so sad there will never be new works from her, but so pleased with the pieces I have. Watching you paint has made me feel like the connection between her and the rest of the world is still strong.
Sorry for getting maudlin, but there it is.
If I could afford a hobby, I would paint again! Thank you for reminding me to paint from light to dark!
I love how you used Peewee Herman as an example! 😊
Lol he looked like Nicolas Cage to me

I love Windsor and Newton! It’s my favourite brand to get watercolours and ink from. I save all my money for it 😂
I went to visit my grandmother over the summer, she was and still is a professional artist. I’d also call myself an artist, she showed me around her studio and gave me her old travel watercolor kit. It’s a small palette with a bit less than 10 colors in it. I’ve been using it for all watercolor artwork since she gave it to me.
When you learn more from a 1 min video than 10 years of art classes in school 💀
Another tip for beginners:
Cheap watercolor palettes often have chalk in them! I would recommend getting tubes or higher quality, more expensive palettes because chalk changes the texture of the paint. Hope this helps!
idk, were im from the cheaper ones are honey based and don't have chalk in them.Might be a region issue
I'm good at use pencil, pen, and marker but I'm bad at painting with brush and watercolors, watching your videos makes me want to learn using watercolors more and more.
Thanks for the tip! 💕👍
I love this. I hope you do more for other paint types.
Day ten or eleven of asking you to draw a dog, corgi, on a scooter electric or regular
I second this
I third this
Day 6: of asking if you can make a naruto picture
it wont gona happen dude
Knowing about this channel is like one of the best things that happened in my life. I love how direct and amazing the tips are. Thank you!💙
This is definitely gonna help with my GCSE, I'm horrible at watercolour
This was super helpful because I have started to get into watercolour a lot more this month and it’s awesome to see a genuinely helpful tutorial. I really appreciate this ❤️❤️
May be weird to say but you sound so kind! And it's genuine you can't find that much in people these days thanks for being a calming kind space on the internet
That's more watercolor training than I got in 2 years of art school. Thanks!
This is genuinely the most useful and clear watercolor tutorial I've ever seen and it's under a minute. Nobody had ever explained these ideas to me. I'm glad I'm subscribed to someone as cool as you
I normally work in oils so I have such a hard time understanding water color. This tutorial was so helpful!! I think its time to give watercolor another go again!
Thank you for the tips now I know how to properly use water color's so thank you 💖💖☺️☺️
You give off such wholesome grandpa vibes and I absolutely love that
Just got to say, Thanks a lot Mr. Scott. I really love watercolor painting, it's the first ever medium for painting that I've done right in my life. Unfortunately, I haven't got the right materials and I'm still learning so my paintings look a bit wonky 😅. It's thanks to you, Mr. Scott that I haven't given up yet on making art. Everyday I'm learning so much because of your content, and some day I'm sure I'll be as good as you 😁.
Wow! That was fast! I just asked for this yesterday 😄
Thank you! I've always wanted to get into watercolors. But I knew nothing, not even enough to get started
Thank you! I have a stack of old watercolours at home, and I'm thinking of things to draw them with
Thank u. This is a really good guide to kick start your journey of watercolour painting
his voice sounds so happy
Literally just by watching your videos I’ve somehow been able to improve my art! You’re so talented and can explain techniques so well! :D
You're such a very lively person/youtuber, i really live how you explain stuffs and your personality, thank you so much❤️
Your such an amazing artist and a helpful inspiring person!
That was really helpful, thank-you!
Watercolor pencils are the best. You can use them like regular pencils and smooth them out later or you can lift the pigment straight off the pencil. They also have alot of pigment for coverage, and are easy to push around. I love using them.
I already love water color but the fact he gave me so many new tips in just a few seconds I had to subscribe😊🎨🖌
You brought in me a new appreciation and love for water colours, thank you!
Hey man, I've been watching you for a week, and you're FANTASTIC, I love your wholesome vibe, keep up the epic work!
Because of your pictures I gave watercolour another Chance. With the fineliner it looks so real! Thank you so much!
I love working with colour pencils and they are basically my comfort zone but since I discovered your channel , I am always motivated to try water colours . I was always scared of painting with them , but with practice I am getting better ! Thanks for this amazing guide , it helped me a lot!
I recently found your channel and I’m so grateful for it. I’m no artist and I don’t paint or draw, but your energy is just what I need at the moment. You seem like such a kind, humble and generous person. Hearing you talk about art makes my heart happy.
My watercolour set I ordered just arrived a few hours ago! So this was the perfect video to see right now. Thanks for the tips!!
Thanks i really needed a guide so i can paint with watercolors better
This is amazing! It's definitely going to help me in the future. I recently received watercolor paint from the tubes for my birthday and me and my mother haven't really figured out the technique to them.but now we do!
An actual beginner’s guide! So many artists assume “basic knowledge” and their explanations suck
If I ever meet this man out in the the streets just chilling and drawing, I will sit from the distance and observe this rare kind of human
Watercolours are my absolute favourite art supply/ paint, they’re just do beautiful and im no artist but these tips I will use because im doing it for my final art project before I leave my current school!
I make a whole card deck with watercolors right now. Your videos helped me a lot on the way to understand how to work with watercolors😊
I recently learned start with light and build up your darks and it changed my life. I now can do watercolor like a pro
Ur a great artist I love ur paintings I learn to make them lighter from watercolor it's so easy and last time we have a project that we need to draw a forest I use ur techniques to lighter the colors and it work
The train you were sitting on in your " travel" was from my hometown! I've seen it hundreds or thousands of times. It was nice to see a personal way that proves to me that we exist on the same Earth!
Thank you so much for this! I never connected the "more water = lighter color" for some reason before, so this being displayed actually helped a lot
You just taught me more about water coloring in 30 seconds more than all my art teachers taught me about art.
I don’t have watercolor paper so I use only enough water to wet the brush and then the opacity is just depends on how many times I stroke the pallet color, if its opaque I keep getting more color if its translucent I gently stroke the color
Your art looks amazing and the tutorial was very helpful!
Your work is amazing! And I've never seen anyone else who has taken their passion to this level. People usually confine painting, sketching etc to their hobbies. But you've devoted your whole life to it! You know this is really inspiring for those people who are reluctant to pursue an unconventional career! May you achieve much more success 🌼🌹
Watercolor sounds like fun!
THANK YOU! I use water color a lot in my art and this will help when I figure out how to draw people.
Thank you so much for this quick tutorial! I've been watching you for awhile and today I wanted to try watercolors, so as soon as I got home from buying my supplies, I had to go look for a video from you. Thank you! This helps a lot :)
That journal is GORGEOUS
Ive been seeing a lot of your videos lately and there is just something about you (maybe the excitement in or the sincerity in yout voice) but it motivated me to start painting and I'm bad at it, dont have any technique and generally dont know much about anything but it was so much fun!!!! Thank you so much for that
Thank you! I’ve been wanting a beginner’s guide to watercolor for ages and haven’t been able to find it until now.
using watercolour for my most recent art assignment, this is hella helpful, thank you!
I love how buildable watercolor is 😤❤
I just got back into painting with watercolors for a special event in my side of the community. It's been a complex yet wild ride. Loving the ride even though they're a few bumps in the way.😁
You've inspired me to try watercolor again. I tried it when I was a kid didn't like it or do anything well. Never got a tutorial. You make such beautiful works I had to try again this week! I enjoyed the textures and shades I could make with just one brush! Next time I'll try a different one and maybe make something beyond a test page 🥰
You inspired me to start water coloring, and ever since I’ve loved it so much!
I really appreciate your videos and positivity!
I never knew watercolors come in tubes too. Learned something new today!
Your light to dark color examples might help me in the future, thanks a lot :)
I'm not great at drawing but some of such videos with tips have really helped. Thank you
I started playing with watercolor. Thanks for the tips!
Super helpful ! I just bought a set of watercolour and experimented with a drawing. This is good for preparation tomorrow. I plan on streaming a painting so thank you for the help! :D

You are the artist who inspired me to do art
Thank you so much for this video! I’m doing watercolor for my audition into a visual arts class and this really helped :)
