Great minds think alike! Just got back from the store with groceries to make snack boxes! And my daughter works at the local super market and was my grocery bagger..her very 1st job!☺️
I really enjoyed this comparison! Also, I would have to say there are probably better quality ingredients in YOUR versions of snack trays. Thanks for sharing.
I thoroughly enjoyed this video!! Love seeing the price comparisons and it was kind of like a what’s for lunch video! Great ideas and great execution! One thing to note: the quality of food in the homemade version looks so much more appetizing! … also pizza lunchables DO taste like cardboard… but why are they so good. Lol 🍕
I just found your channel. I am a SAHM mom who is going back to work this Tuesday and your channel has brought me a lot of peace and eased so much anxiety I had about feeding my family! Thank you so much for all this content for me to get ideas and inspiration from 💕
Honestly Jen, your versions looked so much fresher. The carrots and broccoli in the purchased snacks looked dried out and sad. Plus, the amount of packaging that goes into the trash with convenience foods is really shocking. Thanks for sharing!
I work full time, am taking college classes, and have two kids so we are also busy. One of the reasons I love your channel, I really feel like I can relate to the level of busy. Thanks for all the great ideas!
Those are huge savings. I use the four square containers all the time for breakfast. I don't eat fruit or crackers (diabetes), but I can put together things to grab at breakfast. I typically put some nuts, pepperoni sticks, a couple mini sweet pickles and hard boiled egg in them.
I loved this comparison. Thanks for doing this. As for the apple corer/wedger I would say Yes. Get one. Use mine all the time. I have two. A Pampered Chef that cuts 10 wedges and one by Progressive that cuts 16 thinner wedges. tfs
I really think the ingredients you used look more appealing, fresh, and healthier than the store bought versions. I wouldn’t eat the carrots and broccoli that looked brown and dried up. That being said, sometimes when I’m on the run I like the turkey lunchable that is Keira’s favorite too. Great video. I like to soak my cut apples in pineapple juice to prevent browning.
I purchased the sestema containers AGES ago when I first started watching you when you did a lot of Keto prep. Super great quality on those. At Christmas this year we did a trip since my son that still lives here is an adult and my fiancé and I decided we wanted to focus more on experiences and not stuff. So we went to Tennessee and had a great time for a week and we took some food and all week long I would make up snack boxes for the three of us so we weren’t always eating junk. It was great and I even did some dried fruits sometimes. My fiancé thought I was some kind of genius. Roflol! As if!
Hey gurl hey! 👋🏾 Thanks for sharing. I will be making all of these homemade snacks from your video plus my own P3 Protein, Portable, Pack, and Sargento balanced breaks.
This was a great video-I got some great ideas for my son who has mobility issues and struggles opening packaging (crap-I have issues with packaging as well lol) I'm going to try some of these out. Oh and I have totally changed to way I wash produce after watching your videos, so thanks!
Thank you Jen for this video! Actually these ideas are great for myself because I'm Diabetic. These mini meal and snack kits you put together are great for portion control, and healthy snack options! 😋
I recently purchased those "lunchable" containers. (Honestly, I have been calling them that as well!) Highly recommend! I put a deli meat in one compartment, cheese in one, grapes in one, then black olives with snack ems' pickles in one. I've also thought how great these containers would be when I want to take leftover tacos to work. Thanks for this video!
Jen, I loved, loved this video! I’d be interested in seeing a video on how to utilize the new lunchbox 5 compartment boxes. They’re super cool boxes too!
Great ideas! I kinda think that you do save with the Pepperoni/ Italian Wraps since technically you can get two instead of one using the Lavash Bread. I love the Lavash Bread, you gotta try making Pizza Rolls in the Air Fryer! Yummy! Thank you!! Love your channel!
Awesome video! I don’t have children, but these snack boxes are great for me when I have so many errands…and not enough time. I love the way you think Jen! 😁
I use Lunchables to make chef salad. I can’t always go through a pack of meat within the “use within seven days of opening”. It was a great deal when I could get them on sale for 99 cents.
Bravo, Jen…thank you for taking the time to do this!! Also important to note; you know you washed all the produce…who knows about the prepackaged snacks! So worth it! ☺️
Your versions look so much more appetizing! The vegetables in the prepared packs always look old and gross. Great job Jen!!!!! The savings are incredible!
Great video again, Jen! I put a little lemon juice on my sliced apples to help keep them from browning, and also in potato water if I'm getting a head start on my dinner prep, that way they don't turn brown either.
Thanks - this was a fun comparison. Would also be interested to see the comparison the other way around! I.e. if the original was $2, how much more of those same foods could you have for the same price, e.g. a whole apple, 2 cheese sticks, double the crackers.
Thanks for sharing! 2 of my kids love those trio packs that have a meat, a cheese, and a chocolate item (chocolate covered nuts or pretzels). I stopped buying them when they hiked up the price but I could definitely make them at home! My other kiddo has allergies so I could even make some allergy friendly and all the kids would have the same snack.
Thanks Jen! That was interesting and fun too! The "Lunchables" I get in the store never seem as fresh as they could be. I like the idea of the homemade ones you did. They look much better to me.
I’m glad you did this. I got a 6 pack of the Turkey cheddar lunchables for $7 on sale at Costco. I definitely thought that was a good deal for the convenience.
if you go by the weight of the items, yours are way way more worth it! im not sure if you did include that, but for example if you look at the foodles(?) your cheese and apple compartment contain much more than the store bought. you also get the option of choosing the type of fruit/cheese or whatever you include, to both save on picky eaters and going for budget items. plus, id die on the hill that the homemade ones will 9/10 be more satiating (looking at you, lunchable)
Great video Jen and so very helpful. Wow! It’s Amazing how much money you can save making your snacks yourself. The inflation is making everything cost more. Are you back to working from home to save money? Thanks for sharing.
You make me want to eat more fruit and prep them . I got caught up in diet culture . It sucked. I missed watching you and mandy in the making and my other favorite cooks on youtube. Thanks jen.
One thing to think about too is the containers you are using are reusable. Yes, some of the store bought containers are recyclable but you are saving some from the landfills.
Interesting... I'm outside of the USA so we don't really eat that type of foods for lunch/snack but I found still interesting to see the difference... And you still use a lot of pre prepared food to make those meals, so if necessary you could still cut more the costs.
Nothin Ground breaking?! Jen appreciate yourself a little more? I believe that your video always blesses a person like this one did for me. Thank you for your efforts and ideas.
Home made ones are always better great job at comparisons what kind of pretzels are those wheels I never saw them before they look interesting for dips and snacks
Not sure what brand of pretzel wagon wheels Jen used, but Utz sells them if you have that brand in your area. I live in the Philadelphia, PA area and the Utz brand is from Lancaster PA. Hope that helps😊🥨

Jen, this is one of my absolute favorite videos you’ve ever done!
Those are huge savings. I use the four square containers all the time for breakfast. I don't eat fruit or crackers (diabetes), but I can put together things to grab at breakfast. I typically put some nuts, pepperoni sticks, a couple mini sweet pickles and hard boiled egg in them.
The cost savings are great but making your own creates significantly less plastic packaging waste. So these tips are in fact priceless.
I loved this comparison. Thanks for doing this. As for the apple corer/wedger I would say Yes. Get one. Use mine all the time. I have two. A Pampered Chef that cuts 10 wedges and one by Progressive that cuts 16 thinner wedges. tfs

Thanks for sharing I tried salt water and lemon juice but they make them taste horrible lol
Also really appreciate any budget content you’re putting out. The grocery bill just keeps climbing and I’m looking for any ideas to trim it down!

I love the 4 container easy lunchboxes. I make my niblings homemade lunchables in them during the school year
Great ideas! I’m wondering if the portions were the same in the homemade snacks. I think they might be more generous.
This is a great idea! Because the snack boxes at home are not only cheaper but customizable, thanks Jen!
Thank you Jen for this video! Actually these ideas are great for myself because I'm Diabetic. These mini meal and snack kits you put together are great for portion control, and healthy snack options! 😋
I used upstart a few months ago on your recommendation and omg helped me get into such a better place financially. You’re amazing Jen! 🤩

Loved this video. I’m always trying to save money by making things myself. Thanks Jen!
TFS!🙌 My budget was hollering! For this!🤗 I'm looking for clever ideas to give them out without the kiddos mowing through all of them in 1 day🤭
Jen, I loved, loved this video! I’d be interested in seeing a video on how to utilize the new lunchbox 5 compartment boxes. They’re super cool boxes too!

I make pizza dough at home and put together pizza lunchables for my kids. They love it and so does my wallet!
Enjoyed the video Jen!!💕 Your homemade lunches look Super Yummy!😋😋 Great price comparison!🛒💳🛒
Love this Jen! Please do more day in the life videos, I really enjoy those as you know I am a full time working mama too! Great video!
They look so much more fresher ty for the great ideal’s
I use Lunchables to make chef salad. I can’t always go through a pack of meat within the “use within seven days of opening”. It was a great deal when I could get them on sale for 99 cents.
That is a great hack!!
Bravo, Jen…thank you for taking the time to do this!! Also important to note; you know you washed all the produce…who knows about the prepackaged snacks! So worth it! ☺️
Great video Jen. I like to make our snack containers too. Hope you’re having a good weekend!
The savings are great, but aside from that, I'd much rather have your version anyway! They looked more appetizing and healthier too. Great video!
Jen, this is great!!!! Right now every PENNY counts!!! Love the video!!!!!
Your versions look so much more appetizing! The vegetables in the prepared packs always look old and gross. Great job Jen!!!!! The savings are incredible!
Excellent video Jen! You gave some awesome ideas! Thx!
Loved this video. Pretty much what my lunches for work consist of
Thanks for shaping it was really helpful, good ideas thanks again

Thanks for another comparison shop. The one that surprised me the most was the salami, pepperoni cheese wrap.
This video is so timely and helpful! I’m home this summer with two big kids and a newborn so I need to plan ahead on snacks. Thank you 🙏🏻
they have really nice apple slicers at the dollar tree! ive had mine for a long time, its such a time saver!
Great idea for the summer and kids snacks.
This is one of my favorite videos of yours. Thank you 😊

Great video, as always, and great ideas! 👍
I love my apple cutter! And my egg cooker, and bonus the egg cooker saves water. As that is super important in California where I’m from❤️💕
What a great video, Jen!
Great idea. I may make some for me to take to work too. Avoiding the break room vending machine is tough.

Thanks for sharing all the different snack boxes. I learned alot
Do the pretzels lose their crunchiness when put in a container with fruit?
Great video Jen and so very helpful. Wow! It’s Amazing how much money you can save making your snacks yourself. The inflation is making everything cost more. Are you back to working from home to save money? Thanks for sharing.
I have one of the apple slices u mentioned, I've had it for years. I love it.
Great ideas! Thank you!
Love that idea , making your own snack boxes is good for adults also 😀
I just love you Jen keep kicking ass your amazing
Loved these ideas! Good for kids and adults!
I love this video. I'm always looking for healthy snacks. That don't Give me sticker shock. I mean groceries have become outrageous. Thanks!
What is the name if the mini wafers ans where are they from .ty
Love this! Thank you for making it!
I really want to do this too. I need to get containers like yours. Thanks for sharing.
Fun, creative video....you always have such great ideas👍
Thanks for sharing good ideas I am going to try this
How are you doing the price breakdown for the homemade snacks?
You little car intro spoke to my soul lol!
So will you be making some or continue to buy them for convenience? It's interesting to see how close some of them were in price. Eye opening.
Love this comparison. If you just sliced some cheese vs using a prepackaged Cracker Barrel, I wonder what the savings would be.
Yes great point! It would probably be more!
Do you have some vegan or vegetarian recipes ideals?
Heyyy family and happy Saturday thanks for sharing
Thankyou for the great tips !
Great video. Your versions looked fresher and had more food.
Loved this video!
This was a great video. Ty
Interesting... I'm outside of the USA so we don't really eat that type of foods for lunch/snack but I found still interesting to see the difference... And you still use a lot of pre prepared food to make those meals, so if necessary you could still cut more the costs.
This was great. I love the ideas. What section in walmart do you find the turkey sticks?
In mine they are by the popcorn and beef jerky
Apple slicer is a must!
Thank you. I needed this.
Great video….was wondering if the apples have a salty taste? I’ve never heard of that.
No they don’t :)
I loved this video! 🌺🌺
Great ideas thanks for sharing
Jen and family have a great weekend thanks from Oklahoma
Nothin Ground breaking?! Jen appreciate yourself a little more? I believe that your video always blesses a person like this one did for me. Thank you for your efforts and ideas.
Thanks for another great video 😃
When you buy all the stuff to make yourself, means you can make more snacks
Sue here: plus diy food recreations taste better, are fresher, more generous, eliminates plastic waste ... etc!
@@lindamcgorman7515 thank you I live in California but I'll look at the utz brands
All of yours looked much better....thanks for the video
Good job on recreating the store version. Do you find that your crackers get soggy in the fridge?
Not if I keep them in a divided container :)
Thanks, Jen! 🌼
Hi Jen👋🏼Love, love, love those glasses! They look really cute on you!😍🤓👍🏻
Excited for this video even tho my kids are grown.
These are great!
