The ORIGINAL way to pass knots with a CASUALTY - IRATA Level 3 training

The first time I ever did this exercise in the early 2000's, I used this method. I had always been taught, that if you don't know how to continue, that it is best to just park the casualty in his descender and backup, reassess and make a new plan. That's what I did and lo and behold we passed the knots. I think it is still sound advice at any moment when you get stuck

Great video Alex. I like this method best when the casualty has descended onto the knots. If the backup line knot is not too low then the rescuer may be able to do the rescue while staying under the knots. 😊
