In the Dodge Grand Caravan which is the only minivan that allows the second row seats to fold completely into the floor, the seats are full size and they are completely comfortable for an adult. The other comment that he made that was incorrect is that it's quicker and easier to take seats out of the carnival than it is to fold the seats into the floor on what he calls another van which again, would be the Dodge grand caravan. He's incorrect because it is unbelievably easy and quick and takes little to no strength to fold the second row seats into the floor and to quickly and easily pull them back out. There are few problems with this great minivan. Cabin storage for small items is limited, but more important thing is that there od no childseat friendly seats in it. Living in EU I would like to buy, but as a hybrid or plug in. Please Kia, make those and rememver, we want ISOFIX on front row passanger seat as well. Hi, how much height from floor to ceiling? Transporting a 65" tv is recommended by many to place vertically not flat. So wonder if this vehicle can fit. Thanks.
I noticed when I go to build a vehicle at the Kia Canada website, there are no options to choose from, like a tech option, or running board, add a cargo mesh, etc. Why is this? Other manufacturers have options. Thanks
I don't think it goes to almost horizontal. I would say that as a general rule most people find the Carnival seats to be more comfortable overall than the Caravan seats, especially in the middle row.

Thanks for the video! Very informative. Can the third row seats be removed? What are the interior dimensions of the cargo space when second row seats are removed and the third row seats are stowed? I see the length is 8ft+, but what about width and height? Thanks!
The third-row seats fold into the floor, so I'm not sure why you would want to remove them. The width is definitely wide enough to fit a 4'x8' piece of plywood. The reason that I don't measure often is because it really depends on where you take the measurement. If I search for the maximum height and list that, then the opening may be smaller etc. At the end of the day, I introduce the vehicle to people as in-depth as I can, and then I invite people to come to our dealerships to see these vehicles.
This looks like it would be a great camper van conversion with seats down/flattened/moved forward. I would like to see the opening middle row sunroof with someone standing up and looking out of it. I want to stand up to pull pants on. Can that be done?
The model with the opening centre sunroof is the top trim, and that doesn't have removable centre row seats, so I'm not sure if that would work as they're currently configured.
@@BrantfordKia Bummer on the Prestige seats not movable to the very front of the 2nd row. With 8 feet of cargo length, giving up a little of that real estate with seats pushed far front would still leave lots of room. @@soverycarrie8834 A lot of people would like to see that sunroof in the trim just one below the very top trim. I think, right now, the problem is that the Carnival is selling SO well that they're having trouble keeping up with demand. @@remyd8767 I feel like it wouldn't be an issue, it might be something that you want to judge for yourself. The Carnival has more room than any other minivan in the market, so I expect it should be fine.
Seats folding into the floor is amazing. I would never buy a van where I had to take seats out in order to fit things in. It is not better or quicker to take out seats than fold into the floor. I put my seats in the stow n go in my van a the time and then have to put the seats back without an opportunity to go back home and pick up the seats that i would have had to take out and leave at home. Sorry, not selling me on the taking seats out aspect. Never going to be easier or more convenient than folding into the floor.
The first person to do a video where they show how much luggage can fit with 4 or 5 passengers (or giant bears) in the car is going to get a ton of views, I have looked everywhere and no one has done it yet! Seems like a missed opportunity for your channel, especially if you keep the same luggage and do it for all of your vehicles!
Does this not show that? you can see in this video that the one middle row seat on the left is out, and the other middle row seats are in. Does this not give you a good idea of what will fit?
@@BrantfordKia you do a better job than most demonstrating the capacity, but I mean filling the car with actual luggage to demonstrate real world capability. How many carry-ons fit in the back? People know how much fits in their current vehicle, showing how much fits in the vehicles you sell would capture views for sure. Just my two cents obviously! Keep up the great work you do!
The only blame I can formulate to Kia is that they should have made for Canada an SX with eight passenger or an EX+ with sun roof's. People who need the salve for eight and profit from the sun whenever they can cannot be well served without such an option.
I've seen internal documents showing a diagram... let's just say that there's a third row in the trunk, and I can't see myself fitting back there. But it exists in other markets, and I'd love to make a video of me driving my 10 closest friends around!!
This is NOT better than stow n go. After you remove the seats, you need a place to store them. Some of us live in apartments or homes without garages where storing 3 seats is impractical

No kids, buying this car !
Why no Stow and go
This looks like it would be a great camper van conversion with seats down/flattened/moved forward.
It is the opening middle row sunroof that has great appeal to me in camping mode. One wants to stand up at some point. Maybe Kia will note that with future designs on those seats.
@@soverycarrie8834 A lot of people would like to see that sunroof in the trim just one below the very top trim. I think, right now, the problem is that the Carnival is selling SO well that they're having trouble keeping up with demand. With that in mind, I don't expect them to create a new trim that will make the van even more popular than it already is until they can keep up with demand. Hopefully I'm wrong!
Can I get the top-of-the-line digital
dash gauges system while having a 2nd row bench seat ?
Yes, in Canada, you would want to buy the EX+
@@BrantfordKia Do you know why they don't offer the EX+ in the U.S.?
@@brittanyellisrhorer1919 The U.S. and Canada choose their own features, and trims independently of each other. So the vehicles are the same, but the mix of features may be different.
@@BrantfordKia bummer. I’d love all the top trim features with an 8 seat configuration, but they don’t offer it here.
@@brittanyellisrhorer1919 Yeah, I've heard that a lot, but right now they're having trouble keeping up with demand. It doesn't make sense for them to introduce a model that could make the Carnival even MORE popular at this point. In the future, when production catches up to demand, I can see them considering this option.
How easy is too change diapers on a toddler on the floor between the first and second row and between the second and third row?
Who's changing the diaper? You, or me? It's not going to be easy for me, but it should be pretty easy for you! :)
@@BrantfordKia if you want to fine. I was thinking I do it. I'm considering between this and the odyssey and one of my criteria is how much space the floor between rows is with respect to laying a kid down to change diapers without getting out of the vehicle ( rainy day, etc). I notice the seat slide rails for the carnival might not give us a flat surface. On the Honda the slide rails are not as protruding
@@remyd8767 I feel like it wouldn't be an issue, it might be something that you want to judge for yourself. The Carnival has more room than any other minivan in the market, so I expect it should be fine.
@@BrantfordKia Thanks! One more question. Is it true that the EX trim is most popular and therefore hardest to find?
@@remyd8767 I was under the impression that the SX was the hardest to get. The EX and above have been hot sellers, that's for sure.
Ok. Sounds like this van isn't for you.
SOLD!
Peter. Its called The Multi Purpose Vehicle. Great review.
Not in Canada! Here they call it the LUV. Life Utility Vehicle!
Ah okay. Got it for that one.
It's a minivan.
@@waqarhasan5 It is! :)
Love this. If you have a bad kid put them in the middle and get rid of them 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
Hey, I'm a dad... nobody has claimed that I'm a good dad!
Teddy!!! 🥰
I mean... it is a cargo capacity video! Who else could I use? :)
Yay! Teddy!
I mean, who else can I use for a cargo capacity video?
Wow this guy just sold me a minivan lol
Haha! Thanks for watching!
The only blame I can formulate to Kia is that they should have made for Canada an SX with eight passenger or an EX+ with sun roof's. People who need the salve for eight and profit from the sun whenever they can cannot be well served without such an option.
Yeah, I would have liked to see that second sunroof on the EX+ model too.
Anyone ever see the 11 seat model before? I can’t find a video of it and I’m so curious because it sounds ridiculous 😂
I've seen internal documents showing a diagram... let's just say that there's a third row in the trunk, and I can't see myself fitting back there. But it exists in other markets, and I'd love to make a video of me driving my 10 closest friends around!!
Looks great but not $15000 over sticker great lol unbelievable 😆
🔝🔝🔝🔝
This is NOT better than stow n go. After you remove the seats, you need a place to store them. Some of us live in apartments or homes without garages where storing 3 seats is impractical
the Kia carnival is nicer than the Cadillac suburban thing, BRUH
Maibah minivan
Salesperson tried to switch the 2nd row seats -it didn’t work
As far as I can tell, there's no way to do that on Canadian models.
Side crash test was poor for carnival...and no awd
the big sell on this van is going to be dog people. we need kennel space.
That's why I'm watching this video!
Launch this 4th Generation in India instead of 3rd generation... It will kill... Toyota Fortuner and Toyota Innova.... Right now Carnival Selling numbers is too low.... Means too low... Hope Kia Understand this thing before its too late and discontinue Carnival in India,... 👍
درود
من پول ندارم
اگه امکان داره یکی ازاین ماشینا بهم بدین
Too bad they sale the diesel in every country but 🇺🇸
It's not in Canada either, but to be fair, I think Kia is moving away from diesels and looking towards hybrid powertrains in the future.
This guy did surely have a very rough time with some kid.
Pacifica stow n go better
great video!
