Where did you get the new pump from? Can't seem to find one anywhere.
The second pump is from TDI VP37 version. A fwd car with this engine doesn't have a pump in the tank at all.
Thx for the very informative video. My friends MK 4 116PS PD(AJM) 4motion needs a new fuel pump assembly. I already know that there are different units for the 2WD u 4WD models at least according to stock supplier VDO/Continental. If I search for the replacement part every parts seller describes thoses third party units(Delphi, Magneti Marelli etc.) fitting 2WD PDs as well as 4WD. Rly confusing as the 4WD version should have an additional hose connection to receive Diesel from the "slave pump" sitting in the second tank half. Also there should be a connection for the fuel level sensor from the sec. tank half.(or is there none?) Would be much appreciated if you find the time to get by my question.
Hello, i have problem of blowing fuse near the battery which is 50a fuel pump as i understood it may be from the fuel pump shortening because its old, any tips where i should look?
Edit: the fuel pump is working i tried replacing the metal fuse, car starts but it blows again afterwards
Trenutno rjesavam isti problem na mk4 1.9pd 85kw. Sa " pumpom" verzija br 2 kao kod tebe na bori. Isti slucaj ne dobavlja gorivo kako treba i slaba snaga. Rastavio sam ali sve izgleda normalno. Sta je uzrok pa nevuce gorivo, mozda gumica na dnu? Jesil otkrio?
is there any difference between 4motion fuel pump and fwd pump?
Yes. Fwd pump does not have the connections for the ejector pump of the right tank half.(not hose connect and no additional power connect) You can definitely use a fwd pump as well if you go for a y adapter instead and also connect the power directly to the mainpower of the main pump. The OEM 4motion is quite expensive(250€+) so it makes sense to go for the fwd version+diy.
I'd like to know how to fit the plastic clip with hose, to the main pump.
Also what does that second pipe do?
If I can't get the clip back properly, can it be just cable tied to keep in in the right side?

Nije motion al je 4 1.9 prodana je takva. radila bi dobro dok nebi dosla na rezervu
