- I talk with enthusiasm about my plans for this channel in 2025. At times, I wonder off topic, but I decided in edit that those were the best bits.

I’ve really enjoyed watching this year, Happy New Year to you and I look forward to more great videos in 2025 🎉
7.42k is not to be sniffed at , i wish you all the best for 2025.
I wouldnt have a clue what advice to offer , i know collaborations do work but its getting the right youtuber to do one with.
Thank you 😊
All the best for 2025 🍀🙂👍
Looking forward to more content I 2025 great channel
Good honest update Paul.
Brace yourself, as you asked for this 😉 !…
Project Nigel channel: it’s gotten stagnant. Clear the junk, make either lock up or storage a light clean studio space for filming and interviewing your guests and completing reviews.
Fix those rovers in segments that are instructional and conclude with them totally completed.
Get shot of those cars asap with raffles, paid prize give aways to members or more swaps to increase car turn over and generate viewer traffic. (Allegro man is an asset here as you both essentially have the same goal)
Get Nigel on the road, tided up, looking good asap get him out and about it’s your core and needs to been seen.
The cars are not the profit (especially sitting and rotting, just depressing) They are your props, everything is a byproduct you use to make a video to generate traffic, that is your profit.
Your car reviews:
segments need to be polished, have definition, on point scripting and tightly edited to about 10mins.
People are drawn by a likeable person (you) and format that is informative and familiar.
A regular theme and slick ident to catch the eye when scrolling will also help.
(check out shooting cars)
The collaborations: you do the all the work the others cling on.
Boaty: has run its course in its present format, it’s a distraction and the rival content dilutes yours. Stick to a segment we’re he’s a guest once a month like “two tw@ts touring” where you drive your convertibles with the top down in all weathers to destinations for a chippy tea or road side cafe. Your capers can be fun but a phone stuck to a windscreen for 45mins talking Bo!!oxs is not entertainment.
Steve Berrys Big in the 90s: is just that. Steve’s channel.
you are producing and directing his channel draining your time and creativity.
Drop the Steve berry part, he was big ish in the 90s as the annoying Top Gear presenter unfortunately his name carry’s little equity, figures show that.
The big in the 90s part is an opportunity for you both as co presenters to explore that era; expand its scope, a clean, lit studio space will allow you both to review things other than just cars from that era and maybe interview big in the 90s people.
8000 people are attracted to your Chanel because they like you.
You are the core don’t dilute it.
I’ve suspect you could reach a much wider audience and I firmly believe you can make it by polishing the act and honing the craft.
You are going professional as a UA-cam ‘content’ creator, perhaps by accident but it’s happening so give it everything.
Also think about your audience types: are they watching long vids once a week in bed or are they sitting on the loo with a short review??.
So I’m sorry if my comment is full and brutal Simon cowell, I’ve worked in film and TV production for nearly 30 years it’s all pretty much the same trying to convince audiences to be interested in your shows.
I vicariously live through you having a yard of cars I love and cool mates that drop by. It’s easy to be an armchair critic. I appreciate the already enormous amount of effort you make making the videos you currently do, i’ve already edited this comment 12 times. (I’m getting inspired to make and produce my own videos as I write this ⚽️ bashing critique of your excellent work 😆 )
Keep climbing Paul, 2025 is the year of the pro.
Have a Happy new year.
What a fantastic comment. I have read it 4 times now. Thank you for going to such a great effort to write this. I really appreciate your thoughts and advice.
@@ProjectNigel I’ve edited it 13 times now 😆.
I just watched your mustard take on the other channel, seems your already on the ⚽️ with some if the points and are aware that each channel has it’s focus, being one for cars and one for capers.
There are some great comments, thank you for taking the time to read my thought bubble and not bursting it with your kind reply, I’m humbled👍.
Car channel....🤔 Now you mention it I did notice a few Rovers knocking about, it's starting to make sense.
Happy 2025
Nice XTC reference in the title there Paul 👍
Thank you
Messing about with old cars in the yard and low value swap deals/purchases are what you do best.
For me personally car reviews are as dull as dishwasher.
Keep up the great work and all the best for 2025.
Most car reviews are dull. Hopefully, mine aren't, though 😅
Good video Paul 🚗🚙🚘👍👍👍👏👏👏
You need to do more repairs in the yard of dreams again.
I want to
Love watching project nigel 😊
I like videos where stuff gets done. There are loads of people who make videos where nothing gets done and what's the point in that? It's like when you invest half an hour of your life into an episode of A Place In The Sun and you watch Mick and Tina look around three perfectly acceptable apartments in Tossa del Mar and make approving noises about all three but then ultimately they decide they don't want an apartment In Tossa del Mar at all. In my view Mick and Tina should be forced to buy one of them or forfeit their three bed semi in Peterborough. So don't be like Mick and Tina, make a video about getting stuff done and things made better. If we get to learn a thing then that's a bonus, but just seeing a man get stuff done is enough for me. I also like the videos where you go somewhere nice, we went to the singing ringing tree after seeing it in your film. That's what I like, no idea if anyone else likes this sort of stuff. I intend to continue to be a member of this channel into 2025 and like films where appropriate. Toodles.
It's always a pleasure to read your meandering thoughts.
Agreed, I think. I like yard activity and seeing Allegroman's latest wares. Reviews would only interest me if it is a specific car which I find interesting, so that is likely to be few of them. However, what us lot like is probably not what will make you a financial success on UA-cam!
I'm not sure if it's possible but perhaps make a poll for subscribers to see what people would like to see more of.
Personnally I was drawn to the channel because of MG Rovers and repair videos related to it. Buying unloved cars, fixing them up and selling them on is content I like to see.
Don't get me wrong, I don't mind car reviews nor do i mind non MGR cars on the channel but I think there are plenty of other channels doing that already.
There are loads of UA-cam car reviewers, and that's why I do these videos my own way.
Just look back through your viewing figures for each video posted in the last 12 months. They will give you your answer. The highest viewing figures are what people have enjoyed and would clearly like again. Those with the lowest or slowest figures didn't meet with what your target audience prefers. Concentrate your time on what gives you the results you are looking for and what makes you happy. The only thing I would add to that is that people watch your videos to see what YOU are doing, so don't feature others who have or should have their own channels too much. This is YOUR audience, they have or should have their own.
Some very good points made. Thank you
Quite honestly you probably spend too much time doing "nothing" videos with Boaty which drags the channel into a more "general chat" category and sometimes drags the tone down. If I were a Rover / Classic Car enthusiast I would probably unsubscribe if I was being subjected to a random guys opinions on cutlery or b*stiality (!) instead of what I'd actually subscribed to watch ... if CountryFile started talking about iPhone apps, hair products or guessing the colour of someones genitals people would change channel, which is why they choose a topic and stick to it. Best way forward I think. Happy new year in any case!
Have to agree here. The last live with Boaty didn't just bring the tone of your channel down, it could have got it shut down! That content was seriously bad, worrying and unnecessary.
Thank you, Black Lines and SeniorBaths, for your insight. We always joked that I lost subscribers whenever Boaty appeared, and I do understand that for he's a bit much,. In retrospect, the livestream wasn't the best idea with him on this channel, and I have set it as private
I'm sad I missed it
Paul, what you are doing is fine, there's only so many nutters who will watch a northerner swapping and bodging old rovers with the odd appearance by the norths least known TG voice over and Les batersby impersonator, it's entertaining enough as it is, far better than anything the BBC can manage. Maybe you could go further into your bodges or aim for some 80s Rovers? Keep up the fight dude.
Accord Coupe👌
A lot of reflection, Captain. I'm no expert, but there seems to be some youtube marketing tools you can use such as thumbnails to other videos at the end. Don't think I've ever seen an ad during your videos.. there is a dude who goes through all the ways to improve as a youtuber
You get to see them before I monetise them, Ross
@ProjectNigel true of course. Hopefully you can achieve your plans as its a great channel.👍
People come and go, cant please everyone.. Stick with what you do 👍
True
More working on cars, learning and teaching by you maybe?
XTC Reference i see ;)
Is that a flip-flop dangling from the roof lining at the back?
Lol. Does. Not looking at it. Lol. The rear light.
Please pop that rear interior light back in. Very distracting and annoying and takes away from your in-car rambles/rants. And don't have Boaty on your main channel. His thoughts, questions and ideas aren't family friendly, so are most likely to lose you subscribers than grow your numbers.
I knew someone would point out that dangling light. Thank you for the advice
Boaty has gone a bit odd with more and more innuendo comments, still might be a great friend to Paul.
@@paultaylor9652 of course they're good mates, but he is Marmite. Captain M can't afford to lose subscribers or be de-moneytised. He has other channels to have him on anyway.
@ProjectNigel I know you've left it like that a reason, probably just to annoy/trigger people like me! 😉
more meaningful videos, rather than today i switched the kettle on and moved a car across the yard. i will stay subscribed either way... just trying to help.
Thank you
Regarding car reviews I've got a Capri 2.8 Injection you can review if you like ?
I would love to
@@ProjectNigelgreat, it doesn’t come out much in the winter as it’ll dissolve so let’s try and go for spring once the weather improves. I’m only in Saddleworth
Thank you. Could email me so we can talk further?
Is project nigels future in british steel ?
Plans? Schmans! 😄 Just go wherever the creative flow takes you! (but definitely don't Jeff-off Allegroman!)😸
Wait, you have a channel?!
Maybe
what kinda cars are you looking to review Paul?
Anything really
Goldfish reviews? 😂👀😋🐟
Egg Reviews😋🐣🍚🥚?
I don't know what it is about this channel but when I see the tweed and hear the 'Steve' word I kinda turn off. I may be on my own but that's not why I follow this channel, if I wanted to see Steve then that's where I would watch UA-cam. Personally, I want to see you succeed whilst fannying around and pretending you have the job of trying to make money from Rovers (which Allegroman seems to excel at, even though he's been at it for 10 mins). Then again I might not be what this channel is aimed at, please advise me as I seem to be confused with recent content. Help!!
There are a good few people that feature on this channel because they are often in my daily lives. 😀
How about making a video about you making a video about making videos? Perhaps that may help going forwards?
I may as well
I want Allegroman to Jeff all over me
I'd unsubscribe if a errrrr, a Polo harlequin was shown on the channel repainted in Matt black with VW badges painted in Gold like some did on a Lexus Saloon back in the noughties
🤣
From what I can work out you need to involve Donald Trump in whatever endeavour to boost viewers, this I see as non desirable but if you can get him to drive a Standard 10 then bobs yer uncle
I would love to drive that
@ProjectNigel if you can't get Trump we'll sort it soon enough
🤣
