3 months ago, I test drove a MK5 Supra, Alfa 4C and a 981 Cayman S.
I now own the Cayman S.
congratulations! what model year, mileage and what color. does it have sports chrono and the pse?
@@xstingrayx Hey, thanks! It's a 2014 Agate Gray/ w the guards red interior. I bought the car around 60k miles with sports chrono, but non pse unfortunelty :( I plan on upgrading it soon with headers.
@@zeblackboi good for you! funny I have a 2014 agate gray S too :D i have pse but unfortuneatly no sports chrono. you can get the original pse or an aftermarket exhaust for your car, in my case, retro fitting a sports chrono is almost impossible :/ but such is life - i'm not even mad the car is too much fun anyways :- D drive safely out there! greetings from germany

i have a cayman 981 gts, I added a carplay unit called isudar you can look it up, the good thing is that it sets inside your PSM screen unit no extra things hanging outside, and you can switch between your PCM and carplay with a press of a button so you have OEM and carplay at the same time, also this enabled me to add a backup camera which was well needed, and I will install a front camera next week to
front camera? i too have a front camera, it's called my eyes. did you mean rear view camera ? for parking ?
@@xstingrayx good for you, but for me my eye can’t see the tip of the bumper and neither the previous owner, it had yellow paint marks under because of rubbing In parking lots.
@@AlzidjaliSuleiman My comment was half joking. Yeah, unfortuneately the previous owner of my car had these problems too, that's why they replaced the front bumper when i bought it. altough it has the sensors. however, i feel the rear view is worse. i am thinking of installing a rear view camera. not even sure if there's a OEM solution for the 981.
@@xstingrayx the issue is the sensors are high for a low kerb it goes silent, but i installed that carplay unit which i think as oem as it can be to install carplay+ back & front cam to the original screen

I like the Cayman S, I just don’t think the price of the car is justified, is too expensive and also is not practical enough. The Cayman makes a good second car.
To me the price point isn’t bad for what you get. Porsche sports cars are great and they hold their value. In terms of day to day activities it may not be the greatest if you compare them to sedans. However if you compare them to even supercars (not power), you will see that you get a great value for your $$.
too expensive? you can get a 2014 S for approx. $45k. Show me one another sports car under $100k that looks better and handles better than a Cayman S and holds its value as well?
