Mr Perminus, from the first answer i would argue this way, the reasons why i would go ahead and apply the job knowing well i only meet 40-50% of requirements is because, some of us believes not in the cv but the convincing power.secondly, depending with how people are desperately looking for jobs, applying is done to try the luck. Thirdly, not all employers are interested with what is in the papers, some look at what comes out from you. The way you portray yourself. Finally, if you say so, starters should never apply for jobs. That is my argument but i like most of your points and advices.
