    I was there too and took a photograph at the pinnacle. I lived in Urumqi in 2019. I miss the cuisine, flavours, and buzz of the city.

    Cave named Red Hill Underground Hall (红山地宫), which is transformed from a civil air-defense construction built in 1950s which is about 460 meters long and covers an area of 1,300 square meters. This hall is also called Rare Cave (珍奇洞), for it is rebuilt with statues and paintings of Chinese traditional fairy tales and folk legends and combines modernized sound and light controlling technology to show stories vividly.

      😂不是。
      红山脚下原本是乌鲁木齐河河道,过去河水泛滥,红山山顶那个塔有对应的另一座,在西面的雅玛里克山上,据说是镇妖魔。
      1788年,乌鲁木齐都统尚安(一位讲迷信的满族地方官员),下令在两条“巨龙”(红山和雅山)头上各建一座九级青砖“镇龙宝”。其中红山顶上之塔存留至今,雅玛里克山头之塔在二十多年前被大风吹倒,现在的塔是新修复。

    *It should be made very clear that Urumqi IS A CHINESE CITY FOUNDED BY THE HAN/CHINESE NEARLY 300 YEARS AGO AND REPRESENT 86% OF URQUMQI'S POPULATION.*
    *AND, the uyghurs that make up 10% of Urumqi's population are migrants to Urumqi that migrated to Urumqi ONLY AFTER THE HAN/CHINESE HAD FOUNDED AND DEVELOPED URUMQI.*

      uyghurs is in the south Xinjiang, mainly in Kashigar. you can treat uyghurs as gypsy in Europe, then everything is normal

      Mongolians first founded Urumqi, a word that means pastor in Mongolian

      @@firefly4784 : *It was a Dzungar fort. The Han/Chinese that the Qing emperor sent as settlers were the ones that turned "urumqi" into a town/city.*
