I have watched hundreds of these headset reviews and I can say hands down Jabra Engage 50 II is the best call center headset ever created. Nothing comes close.
Engage 50 II is positioned towards intense call use, e.g. contact centers, so is designed to be super lightweight and comfortable for all day wearing. It is also available in a bundle with a control unit that sits on the desk. I have used my Engage 50 connected to my Samsung phone via the USB-C port at an airport gate with announcements all around and the person on the other end said they couldn't tell!
Flip up boom arms (to mute the mic) are very overrated in my view. It's awkward to do that, especially in a meeting as it sends a clear "I've muted or unmuted" visual signal and is slow and clumsy compared to pressing a hardware or software button.
The Bluetooth on the Evolve is designed so you can have your smartphone paired with the headphones while using the wired connection as primary for zoom/teams etc. The headphone has no battery which keeps them light but also explains why you have to have them connected via wire for Bluetooth to function. You shouldn’t use Bluetooth as the primary connection for conference calls as that’s not what it’s designed for and may have led to your sync issues if that was what you were doing? Saying that I’ve used both and prefer the Engage as I like controls on the dongle vs on the headphone itself and also the lighter weight notices after 8 hours. Enjoyed the video thanks.
@@bitsandblocks7826thanks for the reply! ust for clarity; used the USB connection and not the Bluetooth connection, yet experienced the reported video/sync issues with the Evolve.
Yes; both with noise cancellation on, which is the intended use case. With NC off; the speech intelligibility is significantly decreased, especially in public areas.

Great Review & Testing! Love the Sea Shore demonstrations!

The audio on the Engage 50ii was a lot richer and closer to the studio mic.
Great review. Question for you. Why did the Evolve2 50 have a 0.36 second lag??
I am not certain; the manufacturer never replied to my inquiry - sry!
seems his one is faulty

We’re both mic tests done with active noise cancelling enabled? Did you test it with noise cancelling turned off?

Can use it with the phone ? 📱
this is designed for desktop/laptop use, not phone
