This the most up-to-date channel on PLC and DCS that I have visited so far. Thanks REALPARS. Do you have any certification that you offer on PLCs or DCS? If so how can I get that online
Hi Creedence, Thanks for the great feedback! As to your question, when you finish watching all the courses that we have in the library, you can place your order for a certificate of completion here: realpars.vhx.tv/products/certificate
Allen Bradley in the middle of his Programmed OBSOLESENCE program already looks like APPLE, buy me every year. and they have their famous MOTTO: "why make it EASY if it can be made DIFFICULT" I am impressed by all the work that has to be done at the configuration and parameterization level with this type of BRANDS (siemens and allen bradley) and with other brands ALSO WITHOUT GIVING so many TURNS it comes to the same thing, I say it with absolute certainty of having worked with many brands for more than twenty years of Automation including those two (that is why they are asking for competitiveness in many areas) August 2023

Talking about regular computers, could the user interface of the Operating System (Windows, Mac OS), with which the user interacts, be considered one or only the keyboard, screen and mouse can?
I am not sure I fully understand your question, but HMI stations can be all-in-one computer/screen units with touchscreen or keyboard/mouse, or a separate "box" with a separate monitor with touchscreen or keyboard/mouse. If the HMI is based on a Windows operating system, there is typically a separate application that runs on Windows (or MAC) to provide the interface to the process. In current systems, there is often just a Web Browser that is needed to access HTML pages from an HMI server.
Absolutely. There is typically one communication application (data server) that is connected directly to the PLC or controller, with one or more HMI's connected to the HMI's data server. I recently completed a project which involved 75 HMI stations, all able to control common pieces of equipment.
Am experiencing this when i try to open SIMATIC MANAGER ****The registry database is not set up correctly for the SIMATIC Manager. Install STEP 7 again.****
When starting SIMATIC Manager, right-click and select "Run as Administrator". Also, if running Windows 10, you may need to be logged in with an account that has administrator rights.
Yes! The only requirement is that the PLCs have a common interface type (Profinet, Ethernet, etc.) as the HMI does. Most of the projects I work on have many different devices from different manufacturers, and this allows sites to use the best devices for the application.
You can think of an HMI station as being both. Typically, we describe HMI in terms of the software used to define the database, screens, and visual components required to provide the operator with a "window into the process". The HMI software used depends on company standards and preferences, or what software may have been provided by a machine manufacturer or equipment vendor. Bt this software requires a computer of some type to execute. The hardware may be a standalone computer or an all-in-one panel-mounted computer. It is important to select the correct hardware to meet the needs of the installation. Do you need a large screen or a small one? Is a touch screen required or a mouse and keyboard? With the HMI be in a washdown area, outdoors, or in a hazardous location? So, as you can see, specifying an HMI requires both software and hardware.
