The beach town of Cesenatico is arguably the nicest in Emilia Romagna, despite not being as well-known as some of the larger towns further down the Adriatic Coast. This is partly because of its magnificent sailboats.
With Leonardo da Vinci's assistance, a network of canals was built in the 16th century to connect the town's expansive sandy beaches to Cesena, its larger neighbor, which is located 15 kilometers distant. The Porto Canale Leonardesco is one of these canals, and it is here that the open-air Museo della Marineria exhibits its remarkable collection of boats.
People may still perceive the ambiance of the former fishermen's village in the charming historical core, which coexists peacefully with contemporary urban structures. One of Cesenatico's defining characteristics is its long, soft sandy beach that slopes gently into the sea. It also has two sizable parks in the hinterland. Its "Giardini al Mare" is a bustling region, a length of green space where people can stroll comfortably while sunbathing.

Former manager of A.C Milan, before he accepted the offer to coach the Japanese national team - Zaccheroni was pivotal for the development of players like Shinji Kagawa, Keisuke Honda, who all played under his wing.
His influence has strengthened football in Japan to this day.

been there 3 times back in the 80s,so confused... did someone turned the grand hotel by 90 degrees !? so many new hotels ,there was a free sight on the ocean...Absolut loveley place...and best pizza ive ever had in my live.Well...just figured out that there are 2 Grand Hotels...ive meant the one in cervia.
I love Cesenatico! Every time I'm in the Rimini area I visit it, even if it's just for an evening meal in one of the many seafood restaurants on the canal
I went here on holiday is a stunning town and I love it too the people are so friendly and the food is really good
