The famous red chairs are back and turning as each coach carefully picks the voices he or she wants to work with, based solely on what they hear and their musical intuition - and with the chance to be personally mentored and taught by four music superstars, the artists will be hoping that at least one coach hits their famous button and turns their chair for them.

Jessie J is brilliant and extremely talented. Her voice is perfection in every way.
One thing is for sure, she sang "Long Tall Sally" far better than Pat Boone ever could.
I'm late to the party but I completely agree with you. But man I've come to really appreciate Danny as well. I checked his work with "The Script" and he seriously have some freaking good songs... Too bad he doesn't shine in this show (but this performance was awesome, but so short... : ( )

This is crazy good. Each singer sang to their talents. Danny should do "Johnny be Good!" as a single. Will, who is a rapper, not a singer, pulled off a great job, Jessie had FUN. Amazing talent there. And Sir Tom can't sing a bad note. Ever.
Two points: I grew up with Tom Jones playing on the radio. We kids just sort of groaned when he came on. Now that I'm older, I appreciate his gifts. Some of his little known songs are gems, and his voice has only gotten better with age. Jessie... my sweet God that woman has pipes. She can sing anything. Her pop hits are great, and even better in the acoustical versions. This 1950's classic was NAILED by her.
As I've said before, if I were 30 years younger and straight, I'd be stalking her (in a good way - LOL). OK... maybe 35 years younger. That woman is sexy!

This performance is proof that if you made that a show by itself, it would be truly a show in it's own right. Such absolute talent. You would have a demanding show by itself. Tom Jones has a better voice today than ever. Each of these are beyond talent and I would love to see more from them collective. They are talent Incorporated. There is more talent amongst them than all the talent shows put together.

he's probably in because he is a decent producer and good in managing an artiest and guiding them to where they wanna go. :) a good artist isnt only about the voice. performance is important too :)

yeah. though this show is called ''the voice''. so, it's only about the voice.
BoustoTV its called The Voice but just think, him being a good producer, a coach and guide would do the singers who audition more good than his own personal voice skills o.o besides, its a show about the auditionee's singing skill, for them to get that one break they're looking for.
If you look at it like this it seems to make sense, but think about it. This show is the voice, so most of the contestants have, nothing but "the voice"! This show aims to turn good voices into stars, and frankly to do that, vocal lessons is less important than learning to become a performer. So if you think about it, will.i.am's inclusion makes perfect sense.
Zan chou Vocal lessons are less important because every contestant already have good singing voices, and are more likely to be lacking in other departments than actual singing.
