what I don't get is how can you shock if your lightning damage endgame is converted in frost damage?Am I missing something? :\ sorry for asking but i feel really confused and overwhelmed with this game
@ Don’t worry, there is a lot to get to grips with. So yes we are converting the damage to cold but lightning warp inherently places a shocked ground instance on use on the floor which is separate to the damage type so no matter what damage type it uses, it will still allow you to be able to shock enemies when you teleport near them. Hey man, I've been following along with your mobalytics guide for about a week now. I was running a crit focused cold snap, ice wall, CoF comet setup through leveling and early mapping, but something was missing. I couldn't pop my walls fast enough and was relying on freezing shards for freezes. I played around with some of the variations you've been suggesting and right now I'm sitting at: 1. Manually precast ball lightning 2. Drop down Ice wall on balls 3. Telestomp the balls. It takes 2 normal warps to burst the whole wall, or 1 crit (currently at 34% crit, 210% crit damage). I prefer the flexibility of controlling my ball lightnings and left the comet on CoF as a nice little bonus. Whatever doesn't die from Ice wall is left frozen by the warps Lightning->Cold damage and I just cold snap it away. Thanks a lot for you efforts!
@@mightyraiderftw hey mate, That’s awesome! My guide is merely a guideline to help people get through the campaign so I admire those who tinker and make it their own. I actually have a new improved version coming next week which will be pinnacle boss worthy using some new techs. One in particular I haven’t seen anyone use yet and it’s super good!! Also, i can spawn basically infinite ball lightnings when going now with CoF and my lightning warp fills about half the screen and 1/2 shots most stuff. It’s still a full cold damage build and feels so good to speed farm on. Breaches and delirium are epic on it! Keep an eye out to check out the new techs and happy blasting friend!

Hey mate, This setup is the best I’ve found and seen for sustaining the lightning warp tech. Yea the ring was expensive already, I think this build may of helped raise the price in conjunction with others that use it so sorry for that! @ВладИВАНЕНКО-с6з hey man, Some of it absolutely. If you can make it so you freeze enemies then it should all work for the most part. Maybe you’d want to go up the fire cluster instead, I haven’t really investigated this but a lot of it is build generic. Hope this helps!

I am asking because you advertise the skill; however, you do not have it in your shortcut-skills ... Hey mate, So in the video it's assigned to the second hotbar using left control to access on PC with mouse and keyboard, and I use it on my middle mouse button. I've changed my skills arouns since to make the gameplay more comfortable for me but that's why you can't see it in the build. I personally prefer my build over a pure lightning build but a pure lightning buiild will be stronger right now. It's also more likely to be nerfed so bare that in mind!

Another aspect of that build that I want to try out and ask you about, if it's ok for you: The "Cast on freeze"- as well as the "cast on lightning"- gem can both be used more than once. By that means, Arc lightning and/or comet or cast on freeze can still be integrated in that build. Have you tried to use one of these (i.e. autocast-gems) instead of blasphemy or enfeeble? Hey buddy, No I will update the planner to amend this. Right now I'm edging more towards constant curse usage but later on I may investigate a tanky set of items. I probably will replace the weapon set nodes to just be generic ones as they seem to confuse people. Some of the weapon set 1 nodes are very important. Hopefully this helps? but if not let me know and I'l try explain further.
Hey I got the call of the brotherhood ring and am not sure if the speccing is correct. If we convert all lightning damage to cold are we still capable of shocking enemies? I feel like the passive points I have in items that increase on shock are not proccing.
Hey mate, So yes the brotherhood ring converts all damage from lightnign to cold so this means anything with 'chance to shock' on it won't work now because you aren't dealing lightning damage anymore so won't shock from your hits. You are causing shock from the fixed ability attribute on Lightning Warp which always stays as shocked ground, and I can confirm this works as I have been playing with it, and this doesn't need chance to shock as it automatically just shocks enemies on contact. Hey man, nice guide, following it since 2weeks now. I have few questions.. 1. If i have 2 weapon sets + notes (one i took all curse notes) and i swap weapons automaticly with the spells my cast on freeze getting deactivated. Don't know why because i still have all req. And reactivated if i swap weapons back. 2. Is blasphemy must have? If yes for what? Because the circle is so small, most of my deaths are from range attacks or on death effects 3. Why not doing second cast on freeze with comet instead of blasphemy?
@@marcelou92 hey man, Do I’m not personally using weapon sets right now, I may investigate that later on though. If you look at the planner at the T16+ variant you can see I buff up blasphemy and Enfeeble a lot. I probably will amend this for earlier variants when I get a moment as I agree the circle is tiny to start with. I’m doing my best to prevent one shot mechanics but there are still a couple (explosives mostly), that are just crazy and can still one shot. Otherwise the above tech works well. Hope this helps!
@ it’s really up to you, it would work but as the costs of defence which honestly is where most builds struggle in the endgame so I prefer the blasphemy enfeeble tech.

Most of the theory in the video still stands I’ve just been able to test more and optimise more since then. No, Spark right now is definitely the best, and most likely to get looked at for balance changes (if anything does). It is however a less fun build to play, in my opinion... but that doesn't make it bad! Hope this helps!
Hey mate, Good question. It will likely be better, and will also likely be nerfed at some point since I'm fairly convinced it's over peforming along with Eldritch Battery. If i'm wrong then I'l make a variant later on. Feel free to use it though, it will likely make you stronger for now!
This Build is pretty awesome i swapped to it early and was able to get into some pretty high gear before it got expensive! im currently rocking a everlasting gaze amulet, that has massivley boosted my sustain, you think it is worth to keep? or just get better stats from a "rare" amulet? also thoughts on greater jeweler orbs i have a few kicking around and wonder what other support gems can boost the build further
Hey man, glad you're enjoying the build! The Everlasting Gaze is certainly a strong option and if it turns out that it isn't going to get tuned down in future I will make a variant for it, but I fear that it's overperforming with Eldritch Battery right now so we shall see after Xmas I suppose! I want to make a build that will still work come the main release if possible =] For now though that is for sure an option to boost your tankiness! I have a new defence tech in the works which I'l unveil in the planner tomorrow, I unveiled it on stream tonight so keep an eye out for that!
what do you think of the possibility of nerf for this build? Currently I'm doing fireball frostwall, but based on couple of videos of that build, I think that will be nerfed next patch.
Spark is way more busted than FireBall so if Fireball and this get nerfed that means they destroyed Sorc as a whole (which wont happen). Also many other classes are way more broken than Sorc, specially Monk and Ranger
Hey, great video! Quick question, isn't Touch the Arcane better than Arcane Blossom in term of scaling? Especially once we hit the 2nd ascension and get Force of will? Short term question obviously, once we get enough passive points to spare, we can/should absolutely get both I guess. Quick edit: I added Mana Remnants for extra mana regen', also mainly because I had alot of extra unused spirit. But I might put in Blink instead for extra mobility between packs. And on a last note, the amulet The Everlasting Gaze caught my interest on whether or not it would multiply our maximum mana, but I haven't tested it yet.
Hey mate, Thanks for jumping in the live stream, appreciate you. So Touch the Arcane + the two small nodes gives 70% arcane surge effect which would be +0.7x 10% cast speed and 20% mana regeneration, so an addition 7% cast speed and 14% mana regen, for 3 nodes + a 10% mana regen node so 7% cast speed and 24% mana regen for 4 nodes. Arcane Blossom is 15% mana recovery which scales ALL mana recovery not just mana regen + 30% mana regen from small ndoes so 45% mana regen. Sure the cast speed is nice but the extra mana regen is also handy as it scales the damage to mana recoup as well. Maybe the extra cast speed helps in the early game which is why I take it, but I prefer the extra mana regen for tankiness later as damage is less of an issue. This all of course assumes that it works mathematically as we'd expect! So Everlasting gaze I think will get nerfed if it works they way I think. I think it works after the event and takes your mana and add energy sheild. If that DOES add Mana then that's bugged I reckon. If it's not bugged then sure it maybe be stronger, but honestly I'm trying to see if I can make this build work with 0 energy shield so by all means give it a try, it may well be better right now! Mana Remnants I mention in the guide would be handy if you have the spirit, I just don't right now and prefer Blasphemy with Enfeeble for the time being. I'm still very much in the testing phase though and other than messing up my boss dodge earlier I was farming T15 maps happily enough with this setup as you saw. Let me know of any of your findings! I wasn't sure if it double dipped on the mana because I'm fairly sure it's not even meant to work with Eldritch Battery so I'm avoiding using it for now until it's confirmed it isn't in the upcoming Energy Shield adjustments. If it's not I will adjust the build planner to have a variant with it! =] Thank you for the info though!
You seems to have quite hight speed cast. On my build so far i'm using Alacrity and Touch the Arcane. Your thought on that ? On top i can't consider moving out unleach of the warp. It's the big fun part of the build to me ^^ (and since we have only 2 charges of warp i feel unleach bring more stomp) Thx for sharing your build !
Hey mate, So I do and I now have 0% cast speed on my passive tree because I have something like 37% from Arcane Surge due to having 4k Maximum Mana + the base and I have about 107% on my gear so I've moved the passive nodes to other things. Unleash is fun on lightning warp for sure but not neccesary when you perma teleport at 0.25s cast speed. Later on you can generate so many lightning balls that you can warp 50+ times before ending as I have been showing on live stream, gets kinda crazy! If you prefer Unleash there though then there's no reason to move it. My guide is merely a guideline to help people towards what I've been enjoying, you should always play as you prefer! =]

It certainly starts off a bit slower on them but it definitely gets better when you go more single target focused on Comet and Eye of Winter. Hey imortilize, right now i am using Eye of Winter with +1 level from Corruption, i just dropped a greater Jewelers tho. Would the +1 level from Corrupted or getting the 100% Crit Damage Bonus from Support Gem #3 be stronger? I can else go 4 Slot for Comet or Eye of Winter.. too poor for both :D
Hey mate, Hmmmm that's good question. Honestly I'd probably get the Comet upgrade or the Cast On Freeze 4th slot if you don't have it as that allows you to add Energy Retention which is excellent for generating lightning balls. Eye of Winter is mostly a single target tool later on and that's where we take Comet too. EoW will do some decent damage either way and the extra critical damage gets better with higher critical chance. Comet will just slap with the 4th slot on with Concentrated Effect. Hope this helps!
Hey Imortilize. Thanks for the detailed reply! Cast on freeze i got through corruption 4 slotted, i priorized that one cause i felt like i needed more ball lightning procs. I will go Comet as 4th slot through jewelers and quality upgrades then and hope for the 5th slot to drop someday. Thanks!

Want to ask, I haven't reach endgame yet, I think this build has too many buttons to click. So why not replace frost bolt with eye of winter for spammable button?
Hey mate, Good question and you can try but EoW doesn't really apply much freeze to enemies without picking up the chilled ground effect taht Frost Bolt leaves behind. It does create a more mechanic gameplay but I like it and it works pretty well. Feel free to play around with it though if you decide to try :)

Hey mate, are you pre mind over matter or are you using MoM and Eldritch battery now? Your ascension points should go into the Arcane Surge path where stacking mana gives more mana regen and cast speed. Touch of Arcane in the passive tree helps scale this further. Energy shield on your items converted to mana via Eldritch Battery is super nice. Also, the midnight braid belt helps a lot early on. Hope this helps?

Hey mate, Sorry for the late response. It probably would work and honestly I haven't played Chronomacner but you would probably take the defensive ascendancy points and go more offensive in the passive tree. Stormweaver is just exceptional here though, Arcane Surge permanently for free really is super useful, but you can get this through support gems and passive tree interactions as well so you can do it on the Chronomancer still. You do lose the double shock damage multipliers though which is pretty massive. Hope this helps.

Hey mate, Thank you for the kind words I appreciate that. So I do take damage but it goes to my mana pool first through the Mind Over Mattery Key Passive which basically makes your mana pool become your life pool and your mana regen becomes your health regen. Once your mana is gone it goes to your life afterwards but ideally you never go below 0 mana! Hope this helps and welcome to POE2!

@ ah, okey thank you for the clarification. Then it just a matter of what to prioritise first i guess. I did get the brotherhood ring since i was super lucky in cruel run. Would love some input when the holidays settle down for you! I do want to mention that i was playing pure frost sorc previously and i thought it got a bit booring. But your build have been really fun so a big improvement there. Still think i have a lot to improve in terms of gear though. Everything is so expensive its crazy. But maybe i just have to get started grinding maps.

Hey man, Yes Lightning Conduit is very strong right now! I would also expect that to be nerfed pretty soon, as most other creators are expecting too, so I've decided to go another route, but by all means use Lightning Conduit whilst it lasts! =D
Hey mate, So it's been a minute since I've played the starter build but frost wall and frost bomb worked well on this build for bosses. Cold Snap can be nice too when they are frozen. You'l find Frost Wall when placed under their feet for the most part (As long as they are big enough) works surprisingly well with spell echo on it!
Hey mate, Yes I tested for a while after the new patch and the build is even stronger because of the support gem buffs and resistance changes. The chain freeze change didn’t seem to make much difference because I just obliterate everything. Thanks for checking out the guide and hope you enjoyed!

Hey man, such a great video! I'm currently at Act1 cruel (lv. 50) and I would love to try this build. I just wanna ask that do I have to get a gear that give me max mana/ mana regen before respec into this? Ps. Right now I play full crit stromweaver and it's a pain in the ass how squishy I am 😅, and I always runs out of mana also. Do this build required anything crucial to start with? Hey mate, I would absolutely have a bunch of mana and mana regen on this build otherwise you will run out of mana a lot and just feel weak. A lot of this build gets stronger with the mana stacking tech which scales your damage, mana regen, cast speed and effective hp pool. Hope this helps? If not let me know and I'l try to be clearer.
Hey man, You are correct you could take CI, which I tried, but without Energy Shield it just felt too squishy even with my 500 - 600 mana regen and over 3000 mana pool. Maybe if you can get to 4k+ mana it will feel ok? Honestly though... with the resistance changes that came in last night I'm not over capped on all resistances so it's not too bad to get 75% chaos resistances now. Feel free to try it out though and let me know how you get on!

One thing I'm wondering is, why does *eye of winter* activate in boss battles even though it's not in the skill set? Also, does it not activate against weak enemies?
Hey mate, Welcome from the UK and glad you like the content. Eye of Winter is set to my middle mouse button on the secondary hotkey bar (hold control on the keyboard). It’s a bit hidden but it just needed somewhere to be assigned ☺️ It can be used against weak enemies if you prefer, but as I demonstrated live on stream last night, in this build I prefer to to the following rotation: - wall of enemies and control the battlefield. - place comet(s) as require to engage, freeze and destroy initial targets. - assess the situation. - jump in on near death enemies or lightning balls to Telestomp remaining enemies to death. - if no more Telestomps and enemies left, rinse and repeat. Hopefully this helps! ☺️
Hey mate, So it's actually quite hard for me to quantify whether this build is BETTER than Fireball + Frostwall because honestly I haven't seen it in action or tried it. What I will say is this build is super fun and that I can vouch for. Fireball + Frostwall also sounds super fun though!

Hey mate, You absolutely could play with CI but I tried this and it felt a bit too risky without energy shield. I think maybe if I could get 4k+ mana then maybe it would be good in the very end game? Feel free to try it out and let me know though. As for Telestomp and Archmage they are both great. If I could get enough spirit I’d give Archmage a go on this build but getting 160+ spirit is tricky with the cost of items now + we would have to sacrifice Enfeeble to do it. Could be used to annihilate bosses though. After the patch last night I output 1mil damage pretty fast into a boss so this doesn’t work too badly and it’s different so I’m enjoying it. Hopefully I can go pinnacle boss level with it! 😀 Thank you for the kind words too, it means a lot.

Well I don't see any reason why they would because I'm not exploting any mechanics in this build at all and nothing really is over powered about it. It requires you to play smart and mechanically play the game and it's not breaking anyones framerates so it should be fine hopefully! Enjoy!

Heya, It's a skin that came as part of the early access packs, the $100 I believe. Shield could be useful for weapon set 2 but for pure damage wand and focus is the best I think here.
Hey man, Yes I know everythings gone crazy. I was talking to my mods about this last night and things have inflated like crazy. You can get this build going on relatively low budget items but the Midnight Braid belt does help a bunch if you can get one. Hey mate, Fork does work but it works on the projectiles the Eye of Winter spits our rather than the Eye of Winter itself. I actually have taken Fork off in an even further update from this video last night to just use it as a single target DPS tool but fork can be nice for clearance if you want to use if for that. Hope this helps!
@@MrSooMighty So I'm playing around with some ideas but right now I just put in the +1 Cold Mastery Support which bumps the damamage bunch more. That with the buff to Cold Exposure and putting Elemental Focus in, I'm rocking 1,140 DPS on EoW now =D
@@blink99v hey mate, That’s a hard question for me to quantify as it actually depends more in the affixes you have. You could have level 50/60 gear and it would be viable if the affixes were correct and rolled high enough 😃
@imortilizeofficial well I got everlasting gaze and kirkitos gloves. 1.4k life and mana and 40-50% all res with oaksworn shield and the block%nodes cuz in six of dying. Any advice.
It's hard for me to advise without knowing the exact setup but it's all in the planner attached to the guide. The Midnight Braid Unique Belt with the Mind Over Matter / Eldritch Battery tech helps a lot though.
@imortilizeofficial i switched to a belt with more res... how do you know when to switch from oaksworn to say a focus? Like without that block I think I'd die a lot. And just got a 5 links park, game changee also now MoM and eldritch, seem to help a lot now.
The MoM and Eldritch tech with the Midnight Braid Unique Belt help a lot! Otherwise stacking mana and energy shield helps a lot as the more mana you have and mana regen the better. Hey mate, Good question! So there is a Key Passive in the passive tree that converts your Energy Shield to Maximum mana called Eldritch Battery and another Key Passive called Mind Over Matter whch makes your damage be taken from Mana before Life, so you basically may as well treat Energy Shield on your gear as Maximum Mana which scales various parts of the build. There is a build guide in the description which is pretty detailed of all this :) Hope this helps!
Hi, ty for the guide. I'm on cruel act1 around 50 lvl. I got Midnight Braid Belt and now I have 1430 mana and 58 mana regen. I feel restricted after buy the belt. I can't spam skills, especially on bosses. Am I need focus on more mana regen with items? (I completely follow your passive skill tree) Or am I doing something wrong?
Hey mate, So have you got your ascension points yet? once you get the second set for arcane surge it will give you quite a lot of mana regeneration but yes you can also get this on items. Maybe I should update the planner to have this on the starter variant it's a good point. There is also the Touch The Arcane Notable cluster which gives you 70% Arcane Surge Effect which I'd recommend taking early as well. Let me know, I'l help in any way I can.

(It's amazing and fun btw ty again) So I just got enhanced barrier and rushing for heavy buffer like in the guide. If you saying Touch the Arcane can be more important at early Midnight Belt situation, I can change my roadmap :) Also Idk how much important that but I'm focusing get some rarity of item found stat on items. So, my resistances are sucks :P But I don't have any issue about survive. So I thought I can rush to endgame like that for make some money.
@@imortilizeofficial Ah also I just notice the %energy shield increasing does not work with Eldritch Battery. So %energy shield nodes are pointless on this situation I guess. Edit: I remove %energy shield nodes and take Touch the Arcane node. Now I have 104 mana regen nearly 2x from before ^^
@@imortilizeofficial Hey, I'm at early endgame rn. I don't have so much currency so I just grap some 1-2 exalted pieces for resistances. I have %75 fire-lightning-cold res and 53 chaos res currently. Also I found The Everlasting Gaze Azure Amulet and its energy shield feature is working with Eldritch Battery they have amazing synergy! I have 1k hp, 1,7k mana and 600 energy shield from this amulet ^^ (With 200 mana regen and 90 energy shield regen) So I'm not sure should I change the belt like u said in guide, I loved this synergy. At least I can use it until 8+ maps or smth I think.
One of my biggest issues is mobs just running through my frost wall and constantly hitting me through it, rather frustrating and I don't see other people struggling with this issue so I have no idea why its happening. Otherwise sick build

@@imortilizeofficial Both before and after, looking at it more, it does only seem to be certain mobs that do it. Support gems are Font of mana ( im going to replace this once I get some more mana regen) Spell Cascade, and Ingenuity. Ice crystals have 5k Hp atm. I will do some more testing and see if its a spell aoe problem perhaps
So the ice walls blow up and do damage immediately under big mobs feet such as larger targets. This is what people have been using for big damage so it might be that? Mine have 5k and work fine generally but I guess I'm used to knowing where to place them. I can confirm after the patch that the build I posted up in this video slaps so much better. I just cleared 2x map tier 11 and a map 13 with ease which is what I had handy including bosses.
Hey, yes it's a 20% chance, it's just RNG. I don't always get it it's probably just in the video the footage might display I get it a lot, just pure luck I guess!
Hey there, I mean I have no idea what your hardware is like but I'm streaming to 2 platforms, running a record buffer for my stream so I can clip on demand, running the game on a 4k monitor at near max resolution with DLSS on at Balanced mode, running a 2k monitor for productivity on the side and all the other hardware and stuff going on my PC and my FPS rarely drops below 60 in the utter madness. I am running on a modern PC witha NVidia 4080 Super, and i7, plenty of RAM so it's pretty decent but under extreme resource pressure. I have heard Fireball is pretty nasty for frame rate, similar to the Witch Saboteur. This build certainly wasn't as bad as the Witch for FPS, no where near! Hope this helps?

Hey mate, You are correct in that footage it probably did take longer but I was trying to take footage that mechanically showed the build, I guess semantically it wasn't 500k damage per second, maybe I twisted my words because I'm not the best video recorder but more I meant I outputed 500k damage in a short period of time which is enough to get you to the end game maps. I was playing earlier and did almost 2mil damage to a boss even quicker so this build can go that far. Fair points though, I'l try make sure I'm clearer in future.
man i really finding hard time to enjoy stormweaver in the endgame map I went though ben stormwaver build I deal damage but I am way to squshiy I went though the one life chos imumne bulid it the opposite I can susten the mobs but I deal no damage I will give your bulid try and I hope to get the sweetspot where at leat I can have good time
Hey man, Yer that definitely seems to be one of the mantras of most Sorceress builds, either too squisy or lacking damage. I'm still playing around with the build but after the patch last night, the build plays even better than in the footage (Which I took before hand). The chain freezing change made no noticeable difference to this build and the damage of many of my skills just went up due to the exposure changes and support gem changes so that was kind of nice, plus the resistance change to endgame meaning they don't get downgraded anymore was a bonus too. Hey mate, So Coldsnap I find curves off later into the game which is a shame. Maybe that will change later on but I swapped it out once I got to Ball Lightning / Comet / Eye of Winter and focused more on that. Where abouts in the game are you and what level are you?

I'm going to make the switch away from coldsnap to eye of winter. I'm gonna keep trying to get better gear in general as im still somewhat lost on how sorceress damage scales.

On one hand, good build guide and video. On other hand, the gameplay looks pretty bad. I know PoE2 is slow, but my Minion (level 82) character feels annoying because minion AI and minions getting stuck everywhere... but still looks better/faster than this =(

This build is not bad for clearance I don't neccesarily show that off so much in the footage because my focus was more to demonstrate the mechanics I suppose. @@imortilizeofficial I'm actively looking for new/fun builds to try out. The problem is getting baited. NOT saying you're doing this, but it is a MASSIVE issue with PoE2 right now. People saying "Skeletal Reavers BEST minion!" But anyone who has actually played minion build(s) into maps know they are terrible. I looked into several caster builds, one that I started to work towards, but found out the ONLY way to have the fun experience in the video I saw was to have like 900+ ex invested in gear. Until you get to that level of gear, the build is not fun at all. Again, not saying this is you or your build, just something people really need to be careful of!
Yer that's fair and I understand the sentiment I do. I was doing T15 maps comfortably enough today, blasting enemies. That footage was pre patch and I got buffed hugely by it + honestly I really don't play that optimally compared to some because I tend to play for recording purposes of mechanics or while I'm live chatting to the live chat. It's by no means going to be the most efficient build made but it feels ok to me. Levelled from 80 - 84.5 tonight in a few hours whilst stopping to do live stream stuff, can't be too bad! I don't know how much exalteds it cost for my build now. But I probably spent 50 maybe? 15 of those was on the Brotherhood ring. The build does work all the way from league starter to endgame though, obviously picking up and changing skills are levelled. This is all reflected in the build planner in the description which I've heard some people have found useful! I like to think this isn't a bait, I genuinely am having fun playing the build and hope others can too, hence the amount of time I put into the build planner. Hope this all helps =]

I was absolutely fucked when CoF was nerfed ( i had enjoyed it for a whopping HOUR) Then 17.12. patch nerfed it even more and even with respec cost cut, its still MUCH more expensive than I have money But your build looks fun and maybe my character isnt bricked
Hey mate, I integrated that CoF Comet tech to start with because it was too good to turn down but after that patch I had to look for alternative uses and stumbled across the Telestomp mechanics and I’m glad I did. It’s a new playstyle I haven’t played before and after all these years of blasting ARPGs I find that hard to come by so I’ve been having a blast with it. The re spec costs just got halved so hopefully this can help you enjoy you character again 😀

But what I would really love to try (if respec was free) was a build with unique gloves that convert elem damage to 33%/33%/33% fire cold lightnin and talrasha in Poe2

what I don't get is how can you shock if your lightning damage endgame is converted in frost damage?Am I missing something? :\ sorry for asking but i feel really confused and overwhelmed with this game

Don’t worry, there is a lot to get to grips with. So yes we are converting the damage to cold but lightning warp inherently places a shocked ground instance on use on the floor which is separate to the damage type so no matter what damage type it uses, it will still allow you to be able to shock enemies when you teleport near them.

Hey man, I've been following along with your mobalytics guide for about a week now. I was running a crit focused cold snap, ice wall, CoF comet setup through leveling and early mapping, but something was missing. I couldn't pop my walls fast enough and was relying on freezing shards for freezes.
I played around with some of the variations you've been suggesting and right now I'm sitting at:
1. Manually precast ball lightning
2. Drop down Ice wall on balls
3. Telestomp the balls.
It takes 2 normal warps to burst the whole wall, or 1 crit (currently at 34% crit, 210% crit damage).
I prefer the flexibility of controlling my ball lightnings and left the comet on CoF as a nice little bonus. Whatever doesn't die from Ice wall is left frozen by the warps Lightning->Cold damage and I just cold snap it away.

I actually have a new improved version coming next week which will be pinnacle boss worthy using some new techs. One in particular I haven’t seen anyone use yet and it’s super good!! Also, i can spawn basically infinite ball lightnings when going now with CoF and my lightning warp fills about half the screen and 1/2 shots most stuff. It’s still a full cold damage build and feels so good to speed farm on. Breaches and delirium are epic on it!

Some of it absolutely. If you can make it so you freeze enemies then it should all work for the most part. Maybe you’d want to go up the fire cluster instead, I haven’t really investigated this but a lot of it is build generic.

So in the video it's assigned to the second hotbar using left control to access on PC with mouse and keyboard, and I use it on my middle mouse button. I've changed my skills arouns since to make the gameplay more comfortable for me but that's why you can't see it in the build.
I personally prefer my build over a pure lightning build but a pure lightning buiild will be stronger right now. It's also more likely to be nerfed so bare that in mind!

Another aspect of that build that I want to try out and ask you about, if it's ok for you: The "Cast on freeze"- as well as the "cast on lightning"- gem can both be used more than once. By that means, Arc lightning and/or comet or cast on freeze can still be integrated in that build. Have you tried to use one of these (i.e. autocast-gems) instead of blasphemy or enfeeble? Do you need 2nd weapon set? Can i just use one set and take the nodes on passive tree for 2nd weapon?

No I will update the planner to amend this. Right now I'm edging more towards constant curse usage but later on I may investigate a tanky set of items. I probably will replace the weapon set nodes to just be generic ones as they seem to confuse people. Some of the weapon set 1 nodes are very important.

Hey I got the call of the brotherhood ring and am not sure if the speccing is correct. If we convert all lightning damage to cold are we still capable of shocking enemies? I feel like the passive points I have in items that increase on shock are not proccing.
Hey mate,
So yes the brotherhood ring converts all damage from lightnign to cold so this means anything with 'chance to shock' on it won't work now because you aren't dealing lightning damage anymore so won't shock from your hits. You are causing shock from the fixed ability attribute on Lightning Warp which always stays as shocked ground, and I can confirm this works as I have been playing with it, and this doesn't need chance to shock as it automatically just shocks enemies on contact.

Hey man, nice guide, following it since 2weeks now. I have few questions..
1. If i have 2 weapon sets + notes (one i took all curse notes) and i swap weapons automaticly with the spells my cast on freeze getting deactivated. Don't know why because i still have all req. And reactivated if i swap weapons back.
2. Is blasphemy must have? If yes for what? Because the circle is so small, most of my deaths are from range attacks or on death effects
3. Why not doing second cast on freeze with comet instead of blasphemy?

Do I’m not personally using weapon sets right now, I may investigate that later on though.
If you look at the planner at the T16+ variant you can see I buff up blasphemy and Enfeeble a lot. I probably will amend this for earlier variants when I get a moment as I agree the circle is tiny to start with.
I’m doing my best to prevent one shot mechanics but there are still a couple (explosives mostly), that are just crazy and can still one shot. Otherwise the above tech works well.

@ it’s really up to you, it would work but as the costs of defence which honestly is where most builds struggle in the endgame so I prefer the blasphemy enfeeble tech.

So there are 4 variants now and the build has evolved a great deal since I landed this video so I would follow the planner as that would of been updated for good reason. Most of the theory in the video still stands I’ve just been able to test more and optimise more since then. I’m also about to drop a new updated video in the next half hour once it’s rendered so keep an eye out for this too!

No, Spark right now is definitely the best, and most likely to get looked at for balance changes (if anything does). It is however a less fun build to play, in my opinion... but that doesn't make it bad!

This Build is pretty awesome i swapped to it early and was able to get into some pretty high gear before it got expensive! im currently rocking a everlasting gaze amulet, that has massivley boosted my sustain, you think it is worth to keep? or just get better stats from a "rare" amulet? also thoughts on greater jeweler orbs i have a few kicking around and wonder what other support gems can boost the build further

The Everlasting Gaze is certainly a strong option and if it turns out that it isn't going to get tuned down in future I will make a variant for it, but I fear that it's overperforming with Eldritch Battery right now so we shall see after Xmas I suppose! I want to make a build that will still work come the main release if possible =]
For now though that is for sure an option to boost your tankiness!

what do you think of the possibility of nerf for this build? Currently I'm doing fireball frostwall, but based on couple of videos of that build, I think that will be nerfed next patch.
Spark is way more busted than FireBall so if Fireball and this get nerfed that means they destroyed Sorc as a whole (which wont happen).
Also many other classes are way more broken than Sorc, specially Monk and Ranger

Hey, great video! Quick question, isn't Touch the Arcane better than Arcane Blossom in term of scaling? Especially once we hit the 2nd ascension and get Force of will? Short term question obviously, once we get enough passive points to spare, we can/should absolutely get both I guess.

I added Mana Remnants for extra mana regen', also mainly because I had alot of extra unused spirit. But I might put in Blink instead for extra mobility between packs. And on a last note, the amulet The Everlasting Gaze caught my interest on whether or not it would multiply our maximum mana, but I haven't tested it yet.

Thanks for jumping in the live stream, appreciate you.
So Touch the Arcane + the two small nodes gives 70% arcane surge effect which would be +0.7x 10% cast speed and 20% mana regeneration, so an addition 7% cast speed and 14% mana regen, for 3 nodes + a 10% mana regen node so 7% cast speed and 24% mana regen for 4 nodes.
Arcane Blossom is 15% mana recovery which scales ALL mana recovery not just mana regen + 30% mana regen from small ndoes so 45% mana regen. Sure the cast speed is nice but the extra mana regen is also handy as it scales the damage to mana recoup as well. Maybe the extra cast speed helps in the early game which is why I take it, but I prefer the extra mana regen for tankiness later as damage is less of an issue.
This all of course assumes that it works mathematically as we'd expect!
So Everlasting gaze I think will get nerfed if it works they way I think. I think it works after the event and takes your mana and add energy sheild. If that DOES add Mana then that's bugged I reckon. If it's not bugged then sure it maybe be stronger, but honestly I'm trying to see if I can make this build work with 0 energy shield so by all means give it a try, it may well be better right now!
Mana Remnants I mention in the guide would be handy if you have the spirit, I just don't right now and prefer Blasphemy with Enfeeble for the time being. I'm still very much in the testing phase though and other than messing up my boss dodge earlier I was farming T15 maps happily enough with this setup as you saw. Let me know of any of your findings!

I wasn't sure if it double dipped on the mana because I'm fairly sure it's not even meant to work with Eldritch Battery so I'm avoiding using it for now until it's confirmed it isn't in the upcoming Energy Shield adjustments. If it's not I will adjust the build planner to have a variant with it! =]

You seems to have quite hight speed cast. On my build so far i'm using Alacrity and Touch the Arcane. Your thought on that ?
On top i can't consider moving out unleach of the warp. It's the big fun part of the build to me ^^ (and since we have only 2 charges of warp i feel unleach bring more stomp)

So I do and I now have 0% cast speed on my passive tree because I have something like 37% from Arcane Surge due to having 4k Maximum Mana + the base and I have about 107% on my gear so I've moved the passive nodes to other things.
Unleash is fun on lightning warp for sure but not neccesary when you perma teleport at 0.25s cast speed. Later on you can generate so many lightning balls that you can warp 50+ times before ending as I have been showing on live stream, gets kinda crazy! If you prefer Unleash there though then there's no reason to move it. My guide is merely a guideline to help people towards what I've been enjoying, you should always play as you prefer! =]

That’s not good, what sort of problems are you having at bosses? It certainly starts off a bit slower on them but it definitely gets better when you go more single target focused on Comet and Eye of Winter.

right now i am using Eye of Winter with +1 level from Corruption, i just dropped a greater Jewelers tho. Would the +1 level from Corrupted or getting the 100% Crit Damage Bonus from Support Gem #3 be stronger?

Hmmmm that's good question. Honestly I'd probably get the Comet upgrade or the Cast On Freeze 4th slot if you don't have it as that allows you to add Energy Retention which is excellent for generating lightning balls.
Eye of Winter is mostly a single target tool later on and that's where we take Comet too. EoW will do some decent damage either way and the extra critical damage gets better with higher critical chance. Comet will just slap with the 4th slot on with Concentrated Effect.

Good question and you can try but EoW doesn't really apply much freeze to enemies without picking up the chilled ground effect taht Frost Bolt leaves behind. It does create a more mechanic gameplay but I like it and it works pretty well. Feel free to play around with it though if you decide to try :)

Your ascension points should go into the Arcane Surge path where stacking mana gives more mana regen and cast speed. Touch of Arcane in the passive tree helps scale this further. Energy shield on your items converted to mana via Eldritch Battery is super nice. Also, the midnight braid belt helps a lot early on.

Sorry for the late response.
It probably would work and honestly I haven't played Chronomacner but you would probably take the defensive ascendancy points and go more offensive in the passive tree.
Stormweaver is just exceptional here though, Arcane Surge permanently for free really is super useful, but you can get this through support gems and passive tree interactions as well so you can do it on the Chronomancer still.
You do lose the double shock damage multipliers though which is pretty massive.

Thank you for the kind words I appreciate that.
So I do take damage but it goes to my mana pool first through the Mind Over Mattery Key Passive which basically makes your mana pool become your life pool and your mana regen becomes your health regen. Once your mana is gone it goes to your life afterwards but ideally you never go below 0 mana!

So the passive tree should have 123 points or 124 points total at maximum level including all side content through the campaign. I still don’t even have all those myself!

@ ah, okey thank you for the clarification. Then it just a matter of what to prioritise first i guess. I did get the brotherhood ring since i was super lucky in cruel run. Would love some input when the holidays settle down for you! I do want to mention that i was playing pure frost sorc previously and i thought it got a bit booring. But your build have been really fun so a big improvement there. Still think i have a lot to improve in terms of gear though. Everything is so expensive its crazy. But maybe i just have to get started grinding maps.

So it's been a minute since I've played the starter build but frost wall and frost bomb worked well on this build for bosses. Cold Snap can be nice too when they are frozen. You'l find Frost Wall when placed under their feet for the most part (As long as they are big enough) works surprisingly well with spell echo on it!
The video and build is taken/tested after latest 0.1.0e patch? How freezing been impacted with it?

Yes I tested for a while after the new patch and the build is even stronger because of the support gem buffs and resistance changes. The chain freeze change didn’t seem to make much difference because I just obliterate everything.

I would absolutely have a bunch of mana and mana regen on this build otherwise you will run out of mana a lot and just feel weak. A lot of this build gets stronger with the mana stacking tech which scales your damage, mana regen, cast speed and effective hp pool.

Since MOM now takes 100% of damage to mana could you also use CI and then not get any chaos res?

You are correct you could take CI, which I tried, but without Energy Shield it just felt too squishy even with my 500 - 600 mana regen and over 3000 mana pool. Maybe if you can get to 4k+ mana it will feel ok? Honestly though... with the resistance changes that came in last night I'm not over capped on all resistances so it's not too bad to get 75% chaos resistances now.

Eye of Winter is set to my middle mouse button on the secondary hotkey bar (hold control on the keyboard). It’s a bit hidden but it just needed somewhere to be assigned ☺️
It can be used against weak enemies if you prefer, but as I demonstrated live on stream last night, in this build I prefer to to the following rotation:
- wall of enemies and control the battlefield.
- place comet(s) as require to engage, freeze and destroy initial targets.
- assess the situation.
- jump in on near death enemies or lightning balls to Telestomp remaining enemies to death.
- if no more Telestomps and enemies left, rinse and repeat.

So it's actually quite hard for me to quantify whether this build is BETTER than Fireball + Frostwall because honestly I haven't seen it in action or tried it. What I will say is this build is super fun and that I can vouch for. Fireball + Frostwall also sounds super fun though!

You absolutely could play with CI but I tried this and it felt a bit too risky without energy shield. I think maybe if I could get 4k+ mana then maybe it would be good in the very end game? Feel free to try it out and let me know though.
As for Telestomp and Archmage they are both great. If I could get enough spirit I’d give Archmage a go on this build but getting 160+ spirit is tricky with the cost of items now + we would have to sacrifice Enfeeble to do it. Could be used to annihilate bosses though. After the patch last night I output 1mil damage pretty fast into a boss so this doesn’t work too badly and it’s different so I’m enjoying it. Hopefully I can go pinnacle boss level with it! 😀

Well I don't see any reason why they would because I'm not exploting any mechanics in this build at all and nothing really is over powered about it. It requires you to play smart and mechanically play the game and it's not breaking anyones framerates so it should be fine hopefully!

It's a skin that came as part of the early access packs, the $100 I believe.
Shield could be useful for weapon set 2 but for pure damage wand and focus is the best I think here.

Yes I know everythings gone crazy. I was talking to my mods about this last night and things have inflated like crazy. You can get this build going on relatively low budget items but the Midnight Braid belt does help a bunch if you can get one.

Fork on Orb of Winter not working

Fork does work but it works on the projectiles the Eye of Winter spits our rather than the Eye of Winter itself. I actually have taken Fork off in an even further update from this video last night to just use it as a single target DPS tool but fork can be nice for clearance if you want to use if for that.

So I'm playing around with some ideas but right now I just put in the +1 Cold Mastery Support which bumps the damamage bunch more. That with the buff to Cold Exposure and putting Elemental Focus in, I'm rocking 1,140 DPS on EoW now =D

That’s a hard question for me to quantify as it actually depends more in the affixes you have. You could have level 50/60 gear and it would be viable if the affixes were correct and rolled high enough 😃
@imortilizeofficial well I got everlasting gaze and kirkitos gloves. 1.4k life and mana and 40-50% all res with oaksworn shield and the block%nodes cuz in six of dying. Any advice.
It's hard for me to advise without knowing the exact setup but it's all in the planner attached to the guide. The Midnight Braid Unique Belt with the Mind Over Matter / Eldritch Battery tech helps a lot though.
@imortilizeofficial i switched to a belt with more res... how do you know when to switch from oaksworn to say a focus? Like without that block I think I'd die a lot. And just got a 5 links park, game changee also now MoM and eldritch, seem to help a lot now.
The MoM and Eldritch tech with the Midnight Braid Unique Belt help a lot!
Otherwise stacking mana and energy shield helps a lot as the more mana you have and mana regen the better.

Good question!
So there is a Key Passive in the passive tree that converts your Energy Shield to Maximum mana called Eldritch Battery and another Key Passive called Mind Over Matter whch makes your damage be taken from Mana before Life, so you basically may as well treat Energy Shield on your gear as Maximum Mana which scales various parts of the build.
There is a build guide in the description which is pretty detailed of all this :)

Hi, ty for the guide. I'm on cruel act1 around 50 lvl. I got Midnight Braid Belt and now I have 1430 mana and 58 mana regen. I feel restricted after buy the belt. I can't spam skills, especially on bosses. Am I need focus on more mana regen with items? (I completely follow your passive skill tree) Or am I doing something wrong?

So have you got your ascension points yet? once you get the second set for arcane surge it will give you quite a lot of mana regeneration but yes you can also get this on items. Maybe I should update the planner to have this on the starter variant it's a good point.
There is also the Touch The Arcane Notable cluster which gives you 70% Arcane Surge Effect which I'd recommend taking early as well.

Also Idk how much important that but I'm focusing get some rarity of item found stat on items. So, my resistances are sucks :P But I don't have any issue about survive. So I thought I can rush to endgame like that for make some money.

Edit: I remove %energy shield nodes and take Touch the Arcane node. Now I have 104 mana regen nearly 2x from before ^^

@@imortilizeofficial Hey, I'm at early endgame rn. I don't have so much currency so I just grap some 1-2 exalted pieces for resistances. I have %75 fire-lightning-cold res and 53 chaos res currently.
Also I found The Everlasting Gaze Azure Amulet and its energy shield feature is working with Eldritch Battery they have amazing synergy! I have 1k hp, 1,7k mana and 600 energy shield from this amulet ^^ (With 200 mana regen and 90 energy shield regen) So I'm not sure should I change the belt like u said in guide, I loved this synergy. At least I can use it until 8+ maps or smth I think.
One of my biggest issues is mobs just running through my frost wall and constantly hitting me through it, rather frustrating and I don't see other people struggling with this issue so I have no idea why its happening. Otherwise sick build

@@imortilizeofficial Both before and after, looking at it more, it does only seem to be certain mobs that do it. Support gems are Font of mana ( im going to replace this once I get some more mana regen) Spell Cascade, and Ingenuity. Ice crystals have 5k Hp atm.
I will do some more testing and see if its a spell aoe problem perhaps
So the ice walls blow up and do damage immediately under big mobs feet such as larger targets. This is what people have been using for big damage so it might be that?
Mine have 5k and work fine generally but I guess I'm used to knowing where to place them.
I can confirm after the patch that the build I posted up in this video slaps so much better. I just cleared 2x map tier 11 and a map 13 with ease which is what I had handy including bosses.

I mean I have no idea what your hardware is like but I'm streaming to 2 platforms, running a record buffer for my stream so I can clip on demand, running the game on a 4k monitor at near max resolution with DLSS on at Balanced mode, running a 2k monitor for productivity on the side and all the other hardware and stuff going on my PC and my FPS rarely drops below 60 in the utter madness.
I am running on a modern PC witha NVidia 4080 Super, and i7, plenty of RAM so it's pretty decent but under extreme resource pressure. I have heard Fireball is pretty nasty for frame rate, similar to the Witch Saboteur. This build certainly wasn't as bad as the Witch for FPS, no where near!

You are correct in that footage it probably did take longer but I was trying to take footage that mechanically showed the build, I guess semantically it wasn't 500k damage per second, maybe I twisted my words because I'm not the best video recorder but more I meant I outputed 500k damage in a short period of time which is enough to get you to the end game maps. I was playing earlier and did almost 2mil damage to a boss even quicker so this build can go that far.
Fair points though, I'l try make sure I'm clearer in future.

Yer that definitely seems to be one of the mantras of most Sorceress builds, either too squisy or lacking damage.
I'm still playing around with the build but after the patch last night, the build plays even better than in the footage (Which I took before hand). The chain freezing change made no noticeable difference to this build and the damage of many of my skills just went up due to the exposure changes and support gem changes so that was kind of nice, plus the resistance change to endgame meaning they don't get downgraded anymore was a bonus too.

So Coldsnap I find curves off later into the game which is a shame. Maybe that will change later on but I swapped it out once I got to Ball Lightning / Comet / Eye of Winter and focused more on that.

I'm going to make the switch away from coldsnap to eye of winter. I'm gonna keep trying to get better gear in general as im still somewhat lost on how sorceress damage scales.

On one hand, good build guide and video. On other hand, the gameplay looks pretty bad. I know PoE2 is slow, but my Minion (level 82) character feels annoying because minion AI and minions getting stuck everywhere... but still looks better/faster than this =(

It's hard for me to quantify this because I haven't seen your minion build in action. This build is not bad for clearance I don't neccesarily show that off so much in the footage because my focus was more to demonstrate the mechanics I suppose.
That being said, it is super fun to play and viable so that's enough for me. I totally understand if speed is what you're after though!

@@imortilizeofficial I'm actively looking for new/fun builds to try out. The problem is getting baited. NOT saying you're doing this, but it is a MASSIVE issue with PoE2 right now.
People saying "Skeletal Reavers BEST minion!" But anyone who has actually played minion build(s) into maps know they are terrible.
I looked into several caster builds, one that I started to work towards, but found out the ONLY way to have the fun experience in the video I saw was to have like 900+ ex invested in gear. Until you get to that level of gear, the build is not fun at all.
Again, not saying this is you or your build, just something people really need to be careful of!
Yer that's fair and I understand the sentiment I do. I was doing T15 maps comfortably enough today, blasting enemies. That footage was pre patch and I got buffed hugely by it + honestly I really don't play that optimally compared to some because I tend to play for recording purposes of mechanics or while I'm live chatting to the live chat. It's by no means going to be the most efficient build made but it feels ok to me. Levelled from 80 - 84.5 tonight in a few hours whilst stopping to do live stream stuff, can't be too bad!
I don't know how much exalteds it cost for my build now. But I probably spent 50 maybe? 15 of those was on the Brotherhood ring. The build does work all the way from league starter to endgame though, obviously picking up and changing skills are levelled. This is all reflected in the build planner in the description which I've heard some people have found useful!
I like to think this isn't a bait, I genuinely am having fun playing the build and hope others can too, hence the amount of time I put into the build planner.

Then 17.12. patch nerfed it even more and even with respec cost cut, its still MUCH more expensive than I have money

I integrated that CoF Comet tech to start with because it was too good to turn down but after that patch I had to look for alternative uses and stumbled across the Telestomp mechanics and I’m glad I did. It’s a new playstyle I haven’t played before and after all these years of blasting ARPGs I find that hard to come by so I’ve been having a blast with it.
The re spec costs just got halved so hopefully this can help you enjoy you character again 😀

But what I would really love to try (if respec was free) was a build with unique gloves that convert elem damage to 33%/33%/33% fire cold lightnin and talrasha in Poe2

You aren’’t wrong, in the video I have multiple play captures that vary in level but the bit you’re missing is this was posted within 10 days of the game release where we were still all figuring out the game release and end game. I have since posted a T16+ video and have demonstrated live the build can do high end bosses so I do strongly disagree that the build is trash.
