Is it possible to have a proxy model setting aswell in the drop downs? For architectural visualisation the high quality is great, but we end up with a full building with 100's of assets, it slows down the model dramatically, we still need to know where the assets are, but it would be great to have a low poly representation during model editing

I can't figure out how to locate the blender browser folder because it doesn't detect the assets I don't know in which folder I have to create my own assets folder
it keeps crashing blender and it didint give me all the props :( and i am missing alot of stuff (nevermind i did revalidate and its all appearing) (and now there all gone) (omg once again i just scrolled and soimehow they are now appearing whenever i start a new file it has to do all that over again like i have to scroll for it to appear i think idk if someone can help please do IT WONT WORK

Bought! Can you test the "apply displacement" button on blender 4.5 beta for Apple Silicon? Seems like it doesn't work (I know it's a beta but pointing it out 🙂 )
Blender 4.5 wow! We've got a time traveler here! In Blender 3.5 beta on Windows, the "Setup Displacement" works fine for me for both Cycles and Eevee. I see no reason it would function any differently on Mac as this feature doesn't interact with the OS at all. Please check you're using the latest release (1.0.8) and if it's still a problem, make a detailed bug report using the button in the user preferences :)
When I click on the 'Fix Texture Scale' button, I receive a warning 'Flat has a non uniform scale, texture scale will be incorrect.' How can I fix this? Please. This is very important to me.
Select your object and apply the scale with Ctrl-A :) Non uniform scale (objects where the scale for X, Y and Z are different from each other) breaks many things in Blender, as a general rule of thumb it's a good idea to have the scale set to 1,1,1 by applying it.
glossing over the announcement and BM shop page I don't think it is declared anywhere what period does the purchase give you active support for? By active support meaning access to new builds and updates of the add-on. Is it permanent, for 3.X series or to this specific version of the asset browser.
Future updates to this add-on will also be free for existing customers. I've got many new features planned, but at the very least we'll maintain compatibility with the latest Blender releases for the foreseeable future :)

When using an HDRI background I'm not finding a way to make it a real world scale, or, the scale of the models being used in it. All the videos I find say to just increase the scale of the models being used, but I'm thinking there has to be a way to scale the environment to the models. Can you either post a reply or, a video, on how that's done? Thank you!
Traditionally HDRI's are mapped to the world shader which is an infinite distance away from the scene at all times. This means you can't really scale the HDRI to fit the models. You could use back plates that you could scale to provide the backdrop or you could create a sphere or other geometry that you can map the HDRI to like in this video: ua-cam.com/video/qsKJgInjFX4/v-deo.html Hope this helps.
I have a error code with python in which I can't fetch the assets when I click the "fetch assets" button, Whenever I do It comes up with a error code in which it states "key polyhavenassets not found" if you could tell me a fix it would be much appreciated.

Hi ! For me the Set up displacment option is grayed out, no possibilities to click on it, what should i do ? i tried to resize the plane, i pressed on Fix texture scale (working well) but i'm not able to click on the displacment option
Make sure to apply the scale of your objects, and also click "Fix Texture Scale". Displacement is sensitive to the size of the geometry and the texture.

The initial download is about 3.5 GB, that includes all our assets at 1k resolution. Once you start switching assets to higher resolutions, it'll download more. I believe our grass assets are set up as particle systems currently. After importing the asset, add a particle system to your ground object (where you want the grass) and look in the dropdown for the existing particle systems that were just imported.

What exactly is the difference with the resolutions of models? The subdivision modifier always seems to be enough.

Currently displacement is only available in the Cycles render engine, but Eevee support is planned for a future release.

So set my renders settings but the displacements all wonky for texture drops, what should I do?
Make sure to apply the scale of your objects, and also click "Fix Texture Scale". Displacement is sensitive to the size of the geometry and the texture.
There isn't no "Name" option. (I'm using Blender 4.1.)

I had the same issue. I found it by clicking the button that is 3 horizontal lines, right next to the Asset Browser button
