    I appreciate you explaining the tool and what to expect! I could use the same quick lesson on the jigsaw I can’t seem to get comfortable with it

      Thank you very much. I do plan on doing a beginner friendly how to tools based video this summer. I hope that will help!

    To save time line the shelves up, clamp them together, mark where the holes are going to be and drill out your holes all at once.

    I like your idea on how to join the top and bottom, I have made ones using a hinge part way up. I use 1/2" plywood with 1x4 for the shelves and sides. I use a different drill bit so I don't get blow out. I also use a round over bit for the slots and holes. Most people are shocked at the price, especially when you add the box wood.

    • @MakerDecor
      @MakerDecor  Рік тому

      Cool, let me know about that bit. The blow out is a pain to clean up, lol. Yeah I was gona show the router with a round over bit, but I tried to simplify my build for people just starting out. And yes some people don't realize the cost of wood went up and then your time to build it. For sure some people will always want to try to take advantage. It is always best to sell less and make a profit. Then sell a lot and lose money, I have done both lol. I have seen some people make things and sell just above material cost and I couldn't afford to do that. And you always get what you pay for, keep making!

      @@MakerDecor I use a Forstner Bit and then use a round over bit, smooths out the edges for the glasses

    Hi!! As always you rock! I wanted to ask…you recommend still adding hinges on the side of the two piece style one?

    • @MakerDecor
      @MakerDecor  Рік тому

      Hi, thank you very much. And yes I do, its not very much extra work to add them and will help keep with alignment over time.

    Hello I love your work I have been binge watching your videos. As I’m watching this video right now I’m wondering what is the blue thing in your hand or what is the tool you use to measure after you drilled a hole to make the line for the glass what was the measurements for that what was the thing in your hand that you use to measure the line under the hole.❤

      Hi, thank you so much for watching my videos and taking the time to comment. That tool I believe you are referring to is a combination square from Empire. All it does is make it easy to accurately measure smaller sections. You can use a measuring tape but for somethings I prefer that tool. Hope this helps, thank you

    Hi. What did you use to make the grass stay inside? A nail gun?

    • @MakerDecor
      @MakerDecor  Рік тому

      Hi, no just a hand held stapler. You can purchase at walmart or home depot for like $7.

    In your plan you have a board router as tool required where did you use that in the video ?

    • @MakerDecor
      @MakerDecor  Рік тому

      Hi, for those with more experience a router is great choice to round over the wine slots. But I did not put it and chose to sand as this is a easier step for most than utilizing a router. Also some people use routers as cutting tools, which is not something I do. But I leave my plans as open to utilize the tools that you have on hand. The plans are written in a way that the concept of what is needed is shown and you can decide which tools or way you would like to get the results done as everybody's tools and skills are different. Good luck!

    • @MakerDecor
      @MakerDecor  3 місяці тому

      Hi, it has a couple of names. But you can get easily from amazon. Just search boxwood panels, grass wall panel, hedge wall panel or grass wall backdrop. Good luck
