We have the Nomi. Absolutely LOVE it. Easy to clean, easy to adjust, looks great and my son just turned 1 and loves sitting at the table with us while we eat all our meals as a family! He will sit comfortably for 45 minutes and eats with us! It’s worth the investment (we got it as an open box so it was discounted!)
We always had this at home. I think most Norwegians had this in the 80-ies and 90-ies. We had never seen any other chairs, I think. They are still populare here.
Nomi is a beautiful modern chair, trip trapp is no less attractive. I am interested in the stability of the Nomi chair? most of it is made of plastic. While the trip trap is made entirely of wood, and we know that wood is more durable than plastic. Looking at the long term
Just took a course about highchairs and one important requirement was the back rest. It has to be tall enough to support the head of the baby. I don't see that requirement being met by these two chairs. What are your thoughts about this?
Thank you for your question! The recommendation of a tall back rest that supports the head is if your baby does not have the head and neck strength needed. However by the time you start solids, your baby should have the core and neck strength that would not make the head support necessary because those muscles also facilitate a safe swallow 😊
I haven't used it but if your baby's feet can reach the adjustable footrest on it, great. If it doesn't have an adjustable footrest and you can DIY one that works, that's great too!

We just purchased the Cybex Lemo 2 highchair. The seat and the footrest are adjustable so I think I’m excited to try it.

Do you like the bugaboo giraffe
I have the same question!
Haven’t tried it yet. I reached out to them to test it but never heard back. If you have this chair and have thoughts I would love to hear!

Is the Nomi suitable for adults?
I have one I use as my desk chair - it was gifted but I love it and it can hold up to 350 lbs is what the brand told me
