Yeah there are tons of mines and mills all over the Mojave desert...old burnt down homes...abandon ones...we didn't get to explore a lot since we ran into some kind of military testing range heading towards 29 palms...had to go around..but cool none the less
If you're going to be in an area with cactus, you should try to bring duct or packing tape. You can use it to get the cactus needles out of your skin all at once. Just don't lay the tape directly on top of the area affected, go in at an angle (kind of a ' with the grain' situation). Either that or elmers glue. Spread the glue over needles, let dry completely, and peel off. Just a thought... love these videos!
I've been here!! Such a cool place, saw so many people climbing the rocks without equipment like they were crazy. Went with a friend and stayed for hours so he can get really good pictures of the stars.
Hey guys, really enjoying your videos. I've been to the mill you were at and actually Live in Joshua Tree. Wish you guys would have done a little more research of where you were. A lot of history at that spot and what the mill was actually there for. There is actually is a mine near by.
You guys are 30 mins from where I live and its so much life there cause of our aquifers we are known for it and arrow head water is from them thats why everything is thriving theres thousands if gallons under you
I remember when I was young we went to Joshua tree park and it was really fucking hot no clouds just blue sky scorching hot but it was fun and brings back memories of my dad thanks guys.
That's why I moved to America I love it here u can go from snowy Minnesota to hustling and bustling New York to Oklahoma the Great Plains to California and be in a city then a huge desert and then u can go to Florida for swampland and go to Hawaii for a nice tropical vacation the states literally has it all all this in one country no wonder they call themselves the bets I'd believe it, I wish I was naturally born here
I mean it's amazing no other country on planet earth is how the U.S. Is no country has every climate and every kind of terrain like the U.S. Does it's just so diverse
Bigboysindahood If I may ask: where did you grow up? Im thinking about taking the same step coming from holland. Moving to the us isn't easy these days tho.
i feel your pain .... a few years ago i crashed my bike into my neighbor's yard and landed face first into thier cactus ... didnt START to feel better until 2 days after
next time pluck the joshua tree fruit, check each one for bugs and cut infected parts out, then mash and boil the fruit into a "dough" then pan fry joshua cakes
What kind if critters did you need to be concerned about. You mentioned numerous non threatening animals. Also are you walking on trails or just walking in a general direction. Are you using any system to find your way back to your tents. What type of gear did you bring wth you in the event you lost your way.
hey go to the redwood next but like stay the night. i think the videos are better when you use more gear like tents. and meaty wearing black in a desert is not good because black attracts light which will heat u up more so wear lighter colors when in deserts and darker in colder areas. love ur vids
