I even attempted to make a song where I programmed keys to play lead guitar sounds instead of recording them with guitar but at the end I still recorded the song with guitars... Keytars are so underrated. To me I see them on equal to a regular Synthesizer. I wonder why more artist don't use these instruments. The only musical artist I know that is mainstream who uses a keytar is Lady Gaga due to the fact she loves the 80's

Yeah the static parts of the sound are fairly near perfect. But the expression elements are still a bit limited I guess because the keytar doesn't have as many "inputs"
I recently bought a Sonogenic SHS-500 as a birthday present to myself. It's my first keytar and I absolutely love it! Keytars don't just look cool, you also look cool playing it! I'll eventually upgrade when I'm ready, but this is my starter to the keytar world and I'm excited to use it outside of just practicing! (I produce more than live playing instruments)

I own 15 keytar models from the 80s to now and sometimes i plug my guitar effect on my keytar to add some extra distortion and more metal side to my solos !
Great choices :) I think my favourite is the one I’m using in this video.. but mostly because of the inboard sounds and size of the unit. Perfect for flying 😃 I also have the KORG keratoses you mentioned , but I use them more for electronic synthwave gigs :) My first Keytar was a black KORG 😃😃😃

the Lucina is such a nice Keytar it is not bulky or heavy you could play a full concert on this :D another nice thing to use is the Yamaha Reface DX it has a keytar kit it is so cool as a Keytar :)

That dude from Muse sometimes plays a keytar live, but he usually does pads or chords, not like a keytar solo which would be better

Ghost has two keytar players. They're wonderful at it, even going on a keytar solo in Mummy Dust

I think the Lucina is Perfect size. On the road and on stage. And it’s so easy to switch sounds on the fly, and the pitch/mod is placed perfectly 😃😃

No, This is just a solo instrument. Although you can play tracks from a usb and mix it with the stereo output on the Keytar 😃
