I had just conquered my 40 years of fear of flying and I wad on this plane. Pleased to say I am not even frightened to go on another plane. Glad I was not seared in the back though. Great footage, well done@
Probably same pilot that landed us same airport hit the deck so hard. Old guy said to him that was a bad landing ( was trainee pilot), trainee said to him were did you get your flying experience, he said it sarcastically, old guy replied WW2.
Hi Sarah , we all braced ourselves as it happened , but the pilots done a remarkable job in tough crosswinds ( We are back tomorrow to see how they get on , with 40mph straight crosswinds) 👍
My Girlfriend was on this flight today. I was showing her some go arounds on flight radar only a few days ago with that last windy weather we had. Still… it didn’t prepare her for this 💩💩
A great of crosswind action , and thank you once again Frederick for choosing to join us for the stream , we are back again tomorrow with 40ph+ crosswinds expected 👍
@@AirportAction Fantastic! Will be watching with everyone tomorrow. Thank you very much Kev, you & Michelle are the reasons why we tune in, support the channel; you're kindness, humbleness, are reasons for the channel success. Your passion simply shines!
I think on first flight landing he flared a bit high and that caused the plane to float a bit before landing. And during the float obviously got drifting in the wind and off centre so go around initiated . On second one he didn’t flare much just bring in and line up and land ….. (I am not pilot but that’s how I see it )
I think that’s because in a strong westerly wind , the buildings and hangars on the Western side of airport create what is known as “ mechanical turbulence “ as the wind forms eddys around the buildings and then blow across the approach path . There are no buildings on the approach path to 15 , so no such issue .
Kev that was what happened the other day when I was donw there but turkey landed on the grass then they went around and just like to say thank u for the 2 months in spotters lounge it been great and many more year months weeks and days from me Kev 😩
It’s called crosswind. A component of wind that is blowing across the runway, making landings and takeoffs more difficult than if the wind was blowing straight down the runway. That is what is going on. Good luck with your channel.
Too focused on getting front gear on centreline instead of getting wing into wind. Notice the second attempt he come in crabbing. Either wind was changing direction quickly, on first attempt, or they were determined to come in like a summer's day.
Gee that’s a ripper Kev .. looked as if the landing was ok till it all went belly up . Can only speculate severe mechanical turbulence.. a good decision to go around , not that there was much option really . Thanks Kev for sharing .
Is that a bit of the Aussie coming out of you there David " Gee that's a ripper" 👍 Thank you so much for your support David , you always tune in when you can , and with a vast difference in time zones , we really appreciate it 👍
@@AirportAction .. Ha ha , yes I thought I’d drop that Aussieism in 😆😆. I don’t speak with any Aussie accent at all , even after all these years , Mazzy has a slight Aussie twang though we are told . It’s a great pleasure tuning into YT to view your channel , it’s usually about 10 pm here and something I really look forward to . We may well be back in the UK again very soon , my Mum is not going too well , but I’ll email you when I know more . All our best wishes .

Heart in the mouth time 😮 Great footage, thanks 👏👌

Oh my gosh my heart was in my mouth! What a go around! Glad they made it down safe

That suprised me, i didnt think it was that windy, great shot as usual 👍👍👍👍
Strong gusting crosswind, good decision to Go-Around, excellently performed Baulked landing, top crew.
Solid decision in tricky, guesting conditions
Frisky that Kev, what a dedicated chap you are, thanks for sharing, all the best from LHR 👍
Thank you Tony , we really appreciate your support 👍
DAMN!! That was a good call to go around. 👍👍👍👍👍

Watched the livestream earlier than this. Saw the A380 land and later take off. But this was crazy! Nice capture in the dusky light.
Thank you Michael , and hats off to the cockpit crew 👍
Absolutely incredible!
There were a few go rounds today, I missed this one. Again, incredible!

They forecast 41 MPH Gusts tomorrow, there maybe a few diversions and Go Arounds if you decide to stream.
Nice shots today 👍
We will be there tomorrow Bossman , thank you for your support 👍
I was on this flight. Was scary for a minute or two
Gives a new meaning to a wind dance!!!! ........ that was scary
🤣 Wind dance , it was a real squeaky bum moment Dawn 🤣👍
I see some well trained pilots there wow
Well captured Kev. It seems there are more ‘go rounds’ on a 33 approach than a 15 approach.
Thanks Nigel , and funnily enough i have 2 more go arounds from todays stream to upload , and both from R15 Approach 👍
