This is SO true!.. I am finding this by the grace of God.. in the people around me who get easily frustrated or angry. I find it such a blessing and definitely a life changer! x
I am excited for I have been praying for these Beatitudes to be in my heart and I see that God is and has been working these into me. It has been hard, but so needful and wonderful because I know God is changing me from the inside out. He loves me! He is changing me! How great is He!
Yes, SUBMISSION. That's what dying to self, without which nobody can be his disciple (Matthew 16:24) and being BORN ANEW (John 3) means. And so one becomes a new creature (2 Corinthians 5:17). It's conversion. From being carnal (which doesn't please God and is enmity towards Him: Romans 8) to walking in the Spirit Romans 8, Galatians 5 & 6).
the integrity and unity of meekness is our only True defense against further autrocity and di$grace..free will and ignorance lead$ u$ to offen$e..continually.
The Greek word that was translated into meek is "praus" which means "strength under control." Hence, the meek are strong but refrain from physically imposing their will on others. In Psalm 37 King David makes it absolutely clear that the inheritors of the Earth are the righteous who David refers to as the meek and the righteous interchangeably. The that same Psalm David also points out how, "the law of their [referring to the righteous] God is written in their hearts; their steps do not slip." This means that the righteous, and the meek, follow the inner guidance that emerges from the Holy Spirit that resides in their hearts. Conversely, what David calls the wicked, which are the sinners, ignore their conscience which is the Holy Spirit's admonitions that emerge from within their hearts. Going back to Jesus' beatitudes, the first one is, "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs will be the kingdom of Heaven." The "poor in spirit" are the wicked who have turned away from the Holy Spirit's inner guidance making them poor in spirit. These people are sinners who fail to obey the law of their inner God. Consequently they go to heaven. This is also clarified in Psalm 37 when David writes, "the wicked will be removed, like blades of grass in a brush fire they will be gone." Meanwhile the meek, aka the righteous inherit the Earth. This removal of the sinners and complementary inheritance of the Earth by the righteous takes place at the appointed time that marks the beginning of the final era of love that will commence on Earth once the sinners are removed to Heaven. Their absence will transform the Earth into the New Earth, a world of abundant peace and prosperity. One where there will no longer be death, nor tears, and God will abide with them in their hearts! The misunderstanding that has grown to epic proportions is how people think going to heaven is the ultimate destination when it's actually a place that has been made ready to receive all the sinners. This, when the rapture occurs the New Earth will be free of the greed and pestilence that has grown to engulf the Old Earth by people who follow their ego's desires rather than the desires of the Holy Spirit who resides in everyone's hearts. That's not what he said. He said where the Bible is taught is a wonderful place to be, BUT if you not a "doer" of the word it is "dangerous" because there is responsibility with knowing God's word.
I would not agree that meekness entails submitting to other people. It's not so much about what we do but it's a posture of worship to God, singing and praying to Him.
Meekness is not submitting to another's will, but it is the preparedness to suffer injustice for the sake, the soul of the one who is cursing and speaking great evil about you and even in your face. Only Jesus Christ can work it in you, and He does it whilst you are picking up your cross and dying to your rights. As you choose to die to your right of self-defense, and your right to be respected, Jesus gives the ability/the grace to lay down your life. This then is the face of the Lamb, gentle, willing to die for the sinner, so that He can buy the freedom/redemption of the sinner. This is not weakness, but a life in the hands of the Master.
Here is what I was impressed with. We submit to the being exposed to the foibles and imperfection of the people in the church, who are NOT perfect and WILL disappoint, hurt, provoke and oppose us. This is PRACTICE in meekness. That we work together to understand, support and love one another. Peace.
I believe you should choose your words carefully. A church where the Bible is highly valued and clearly taugh is definitely not a 'Dangerous' place to be. I understand your point but you have introduced it with an negative connotation. The 'Dangerous' place to be is where there is no Word from God. The word is the deliverance from Sin. How do you fight Sin and Temptation?...with the Word. It is dangerous to be without it.
donkeys are good you allways put one with a heard of horse the donkey will protect the heard of horses even if the are different species and are just cousins.
God is ALIVE. Jesus is ALIVE. The Holy Spirit is ALIVE. It's totally different for people who study Confucius or Aristotle or Plato or Homer or Alexander the Great or any other dead man. Then of course we need to go to books about them and commentaries. But the whole POINT of Christianity is having access to God through the Holy Spirit, thanks to what Jesus did on the cross (see the book of Hebrews). Hence Jesus's words in John 14:26 & 16:13, which are tragically ignored by most professing "Christians". We're not under the Old Covenant! We're not the RCC! God communicates to us in His Word thanks to the Holy Spirit. We don't need "experts" like Matthew Henry and CERTAINLY NOT as an immediate go-to (already and the sermon - or rather LECTURE - has just started at a little after 4 minutes 🤦🏻♀️)
Yea, not King David, but do you know that when he turned the kingdom over to King Solomon he instructed him to kill him. It was only a reprieve, better luck next time, lol.
Very true, thank you.
We are gracefully broken by the Hand of God, forever changed from wild to tamed, a blessing from FATHER.

meekness = structured good will/integrity..Truth
weakness=financial $tability & free will..B$
if I'm misinterpreting meekness then please correct me..but this is how I see it😕

meekness is shared leadership and stewardship..weakness is owner$hip and war$hip$ continually for mortal pride.
Imagine finding someone who looks like you & is doing the same things as you. That throws out ancestry & dna. Gods in the mix.
this might be confusing but im meek and God compliments me ,feels me with pride and then i feel like im sinning cause too me pride is a sin.
and not every meek person gets threw it i wish i could help them.And not every meek person is not always good or god directed it is a type of person.
some are poetic and some are direct..guess what I am😏..make his way straight.
