Best bet would be to open other door remove seats then remove door panel. Then try staying down door latch mechanism with lubricant / penetrating oil and try to do it from the inside
Okay are you able to open the door from the inside? Or is the lock mechanism stuck in place? If that's the cause do your best to pull the door panel off. Roll the window up and spray lubricant with penetrating oil on the whole mechanism. And grab the lock on top and try to see if it will jossel loose to where you can open the door to get the screws out of the mechanism too pull the mechanism out.

A impact driver with a Philips bit,works real nice with those screws.
Agreed, but I prefer trying to make sure I don't strop the original screws sure it's faster but that doesn't bother me
Instead of channel locks, you can use an offset screwdriver
