As a former cop, this clip makes the officer look like he needs more training. However, I would have to watch the whole encounter to see what’s going on because there’s more than what they’re showing.
Regardless of if the full video shows the suspect being an as$hole, he’s high on drugs, so the officer shouldn’t be getting mad and irritated with him. The suspect obviously doesn’t know what’s going on.
I also think it’s pointless to question someone high on drug because talking to them is like talking to a toddler.
Thank you for that input and thank you for protecting your community. Not all cops are bad but I do believe this officer needs more training like you said. I'm so thankful I'm clean now im also thankful for the good cops that were there to help me out.

The dude was tweaking. There was no de-escalating the situation. It would have wasted time and resources. Yes, he could have been a little more patient and kinder, but he also really didn't cross any professional boundaries. And at the same time, it was late at night in a suburban neighborhood with kids, so I'm sure he didn't want it dragged out. I'm sure for a lot of officers, at some point you become numb to tweakers tweaking. Doesn't mean the officer wishes harm on him, but he had a job to do and he did it.

Dealing with meth heads makes you stay on your toes. (I own a motel) One minute they are smiling and rambling about stuff that makes no sense, the next they are breaking things and screaming at the floors and walls, and scratching the "bugs" off their skin. You cannot be comfortable around a meth head. A person addicted to meth will skip a months worth of meals to feed their addiction for a week. That says a lot about a person and their priorities.
LexusVIP 400 really it says nothing about priorities and everything about addiction! If you have never been an addict then you will never know. Addiction is a prison, a prison that seems fun at first but traps and eats you alive at the end! Without help, it’s almost impossible to get out of that prison. Sad but true!

i'm a paranoid schizophrenic and have a BA in psych and an MA in forensic psych. that said 4Body, your absolutely correct, however the suspect admitted to having had smoked meth which leads me to believe it is a meth issue, however he may also suffer from various mental health illnesses to include schizophrenia spectrum disorders. Therefore, I would render this a dual diagnostic issue without any further information.
