5 Types of NPCs for D&D 5e (with

NPC. Non-player characters.
Sometimes, the unsung heroes of D&D. Sometimes, the annoying bane of the player's existences.
But they can bring a great deal of life to the game and give the DM the room to flex their improve skills.
Sometimes, the most memorable moment of the campaign wasn't grandstanding villains or heroes blasting out critical hits. It was just hilarious NPCs doing their thing.
So here are 5 categories of NPCs to liven up your D&D game (or any ttrpg really) and a few examples to help out.
