Sky Q Mini is for Sky Multiroom it’s a Sky Box without a tuner it is a slave box to the master box without a connection to the master box it’s useless.
The sky Q mini has its flaws. It relies on the quality of your WiFi and if the signal drops then your tv is effected. And Sky Q has one main flaw that is making me go back to Sky+ & that is if you have a main box (with card) in your living room, you cannot have an independent box upstairs, it must be a mini box. Also the recording issue. Whatever you record on the main box in the living room syncs onto the mini box upstairs. Ideal if you live alone but they don’t tell us this when we sign up for it
Getting ready to throw mine through window as connectivity to internet is crap,always loses the sky q ,will try booster ,if it fails then bin! Sky+ far better.
andy reid a program reminder setting is not available on Sky Q for some reason they think people just want to record everything and watch it later this setting is only available on Sky+HD.
