Nah, I don't think that's true. New KTM is only 1k euro more expensive than japan bikes. Maintenance is pretty much the same
Mateusz I live in America and we’re I’m form there isn’t a lot of them but from what I’ve seen is that there in the 10,000’s and 8,000’s the bike I have isn’t as expensive and everyone I’ve talk to says the parts are expensive.
Mateusz but they’re also good bikes so I can see how the price is that high just it’s not something I would ever get brand new

theres so much land around me but its all owned by farmers and usually have cows or sheep on them, i rode there once when the cows weren't there and a farmer came out with a salt gun and started shooting at us lol

Hey there. I have a question I've been wondering for a long time now. I've ridden quad bikes allot during my younger days, and since have been too busy for riding the things and got rid of them in the meantime. But now i badly want to get myself a dirtbike aswell. I'm 20 and in university, so i don't have a ton of money right now. I'm thinking 4 stroke because I'm not really one for dealing with constant maintenance like it's required on the 2 strokes.
Here's my problem though, i can't seem to decide which bike to invest in, i only have enough funds for one bike, so it'll need to do everything i want it to, which includes very occasional track riding, but mostly playing around on trails and on dirt roads, perhaps the desert dunes soon and on the beach shores, around the lake playing around in the mud, but mostly probably stuff like forest trail and dirt roads, riding around the lakes, with the occasional track days. So I'm really not sure whether to go for a Motocross bike, or an enduro bike since my riding will be extensively mixed between both of the bikes' areas of specialties. I've gathered from my research that Motocross bikes are faster, lighter, have more power, but they have no protection from water, rocks and sticks hitting against the radiator and undercarriage, they also have peaky power bands that need to be revved out allot to get to.. So it has problems. Then when it comes to Trail or enduro bikes, they are heavier, less powerful, and have low down torque and much lower rev limits and obviously have all that protection that i mentioned the Motocross bikes do not have. So all in all it does seem like the Enduro bikes should fit my riding style better, but here's the issue. Where i love they are REDICULOUSLY hard to find, and also more expensive. You can get a pretty worn out looking pre 2006 Enduro bike for the same price as a very very good looking 2010+ Motocross bike. So my question pre much is, is it worth it to pay extra or go through the extra trouble to get ahold of an enduro bike, instead of just buying a Motocross bike and putting on some protection on its weak spots and maybe adding some more preferable gearing.
For the enduro bike I'd probably look for something like a 2004-2006 Honda CRF250X (Which is especially known for being underpowered) or a 2006 Yamaha WR250F.
For the Motocross I'd be able to get something like a 2010 Kawasaki KX250F or 2011 Honda CRF250R.
If anyone maybe has some more hands on experience with these bikes and situations I'd love to hear your opinion on it.
