Most of these crime infested cities are beautiful and decent places to live in when you’re not living in poverty. I went to Baltimore a few months ago and it looked like a 3rd world country until I crossed over to the downtown area. The crime in these cities mostly only affects the people that it’s been intended to affect.

Charleston must be trippin. Chicago is a lot of things ( corrupt and certain neighborhoods dangerous, let’s not sugarcoat)but what we definitely do have is Food, Fashion, beautiful women, and many things to do. Truly world class museums and attractions. It’s a shame how many people view the city through the lens Durk and Keef and not Korprate or Chance or Lupe. When I was growing up, a lot of black kids had never even been downtown.
As a person who admires Chicago I agree. Keep and Durk are real bruises to that city. I went and so many people told me in order to be in the “bad part” of the city I had to go out of my way to be in that area. Naval Pier, Museums, Downtown, the Burbs, Wrigleyville, etc. Chicago really is a great city, in my opinion better than NY because it’s clean.
I’ve been to Chicago. You literally have to travel like 20-25 minutes on the highway south of downtown before you’re on the part of the highway that’s like 15-20 minutes from the “bad stuff.” Chicago is actually a great city, the gang violence actually gives Chicago a bad rep.

Chicago is actually pretty dope... the skyline is immaculate and once you go to a Cubs and Blackhawk game you'll experience a different atmosphere of the city.. I'm a big fan of rooftop lounges, and Chicago has some of the best in the country... the violence usually stays where the violence is, I've had nothing but good experiences everytime I visit Chicago

Most of the better stuff is located in areas where white people willingly congregate, there’s really nothing to see outside of the downtown/northside vicinity. I've been to Chicago last month for the first time and it is a nice place to be in I visited the Shedd aquarium and had some Chicago style pizza I would definitely go back to visit.

Can’t front, my wife and I went to Chicago right before the pandemic. We had a blast! We stayed away from niggas though. We got enough here in ATL. We were around some cool as black folk though. The city is beautiful…science museum, downtown, Chinatown, zoo, pier, Sox area, food (Harold’s, Giordono’s Pizza, Three Dots and a Dash, Batter & Berries, Abundance Bakery, Gilt Bar and etc.), underground magic show, blues/jazz bars, can’t wait to go back. Plus my buddy and my family are from Chicago and told us where to avoid. Definitely one of the best cities outside of my hometown that I’ve visited.

I’m from Chicago, born & raised in the hood out west, one side of my family is from the projects that was on the west side before they got torn down then the other mostly residing throughout the city in different black communities. Some good, some bad including the area most drill rappers are from. I no longer live in the trenches because I refused to raise my kids there as I watched the generations go from being kinda bad for fighting a lot in our more urban areas to just shooting without thinking over petty bs in neighborhoods I used to be a lot more comfortable in. My seeds are also suburban babies because they put more funding for our county in the schools outside of the city limits where the government officials live too, just a game of finesse. and they can not stay in Illinois for college because I want them to know it’s more to life than this area in general, our culture is a more reckless one, not even necessarily a rude or think you tough one, that’s the true issue of being brought up here. We’re raised to not give af about a lot when you get mad or beefin. We were raised not to run even if you’re about to get jumped by 20 mfs, you learn that shit like that can kill you when you’re grown with sense lol. However I had a ball overall growing up here and a lot of our schools were good af then and even better now, your parents just had to give af to send you out of your neighborhood for school. I can’t lie. The problem was most of the young parents, people want to believe everything but their mamas and daddies failed them after the government fucked that generation over. It’s just in a more populated area out on display for the world to see at the moment. Yes it is probably the most segregated city in this country, however people like Charleston grow up in places to respect racists and we don’t play that shit at all. Chicago sweet.. Not even Top-15 most dangerous in the US
Most of these crime infested cities are beautiful and decent places to live in when you’re not living in poverty. I went to Baltimore a few months ago and it looked like a 3rd world country until I crossed over to the downtown area. The crime in these cities mostly only affects the people that it’s been intended to affect.

Charleston must be trippin. Chicago is a lot of things ( corrupt and certain neighborhoods dangerous, let’s not sugarcoat)but what we definitely do have is Food, Fashion, beautiful women, and many things to do. Truly world class museums and attractions. It’s a shame how many people view the city through the lens Durk and Keef and not Korprate or Chance or Lupe. When I was growing up, a lot of black kids had never even been downtown.
As a person who admires Chicago I agree. Keep and Durk are real bruises to that city. I went and so many people told me in order to be in the “bad part” of the city I had to go out of my way to be in that area. Naval Pier, Museums, Downtown, the Burbs, Wrigleyville, etc. Chicago really is a great city, in my opinion better than NY because it’s clean.

I’ve been to Chicago. You literally have to travel like 20-25 minutes on the highway south of downtown before you’re on the part of the highway that’s like 15-20 minutes from the “bad stuff.” Chicago is actually a great city, the gang violence actually gives Chicago a bad rep.

Can’t front, my wife and I went to Chicago right before the pandemic. We had a blast! We stayed away from niggas though. We got enough here in ATL. We were around some cool as black folk though. The city is beautiful…science museum, downtown, Chinatown, zoo, pier, Sox area, food (Harold’s, Giordono’s Pizza, Three Dots and a Dash, Batter & Berries, Abundance Bakery, Gilt Bar and etc.), underground magic show, blues/jazz bars, can’t wait to go back.
Plus my buddy and my family are from Chicago and told us where to avoid.
Definitely one of the best cities outside of my hometown that I’ve visited.

BS...Chicago has some of the baddest Redbones on earth and all other shades too. And known for its restaurants INCLUDING BBQ. I know because I have a lot of family there and I traveled there often. I grew up 4 hrs from Chicago & its much more than shootings. And I live in Dallas/ Ft.Worth RIGHT NOW and you can't compare FW to Chicago on any level. I love it here but it's not nearly as fast here as Chicago & to honest, FW ain't no more safe than Chicago depending on where you are in BOTH cities.

i love charelston white but he doesn't know wtf he's talking about right here. he(like many others the last 7-8 years, since drill blew up) is viewing chicago through the lense of n**ga hiphop ish. this city has THE BEST (yes better than NY, SAN FRAN), restaraunts, the best downtown, the best parks, the best homes(over east between 71st & 67th the area im from, from stoney to jeffrey is some of the most beatiful homes, mansions even right smack in the hood). from march to dec, theres literally something to do or a festival one can go to everyday! even o-block has beatiful washington park(were i played pop warner football and were anthony davis attended his school-Dyett) scenery were you can fish. probably the BEST museums in the WORLD(thats not a overstatement). when a new yorker comes to chicago, the FIRST thing they say is how clean it is compared to them(yes they do, dont get online and say ya'll dont).
I don't know about the restaurants that's debatable NY have some 🔥 food but I need to go to Chicago more to determine that but Chicago a Dope City

NY was the hot spot in the 80's/90's for food but chicago started to take the reign in the 2000's. Ive been a manager at several restaurant venues downtown here.

I’m from Chicago, born & raised in the hood out west, one side of my family is from the projects that was on the west side before they got torn down then the other mostly residing throughout the city in different black communities. Some good, some bad including the area most drill rappers are from. I no longer live in the trenches because I refused to raise my kids there as I watched the generations go from being kinda bad for fighting a lot in our more urban areas to just shooting without thinking over petty bs in neighborhoods I used to be a lot more comfortable in. My seeds are also suburban babies because they put more funding for our county in the schools outside of the city limits where the government officials live too, just a game of finesse. and they can not stay in Illinois for college because I want them to know it’s more to life than this area in general, our culture is a more reckless one, not even necessarily a rude or think you tough one, that’s the true issue of being brought up here. We’re raised to not give af about a lot when you get mad or beefin. We were raised not to run even if you’re about to get jumped by 20 mfs, you learn that shit like that can kill you when you’re grown with sense lol. However I had a ball overall growing up here and a lot of our schools were good af then and even better now, your parents just had to give af to send you out of your neighborhood for school. I can’t lie. The problem was most of the young parents, people want to believe everything but their mamas and daddies failed them after the government fucked that generation over. It’s just in a more populated area out on display for the world to see at the moment.
Yes it is probably the most segregated city in this country, however people like Charleston grow up in places to respect racists and we don’t play that shit at all. If you don’t have a uniform on & you don’t like black people you learn to mind your business, that’s a difference here as well with the level of tolerance with that bs so you really can’t clown us because your culture conforms to whites more either. how you carry yourself and survive depends on how you are taught to here too, not everyone has that on my block only ass mentality, so the people on here talking that big city but small town vibe bs cappin at the highest level. Like Naw that’s just you and your type of people, It’s too much shit to do here, fast paced at that that’s why we grew up so fast, and each side of town is like it’s own city. Them niggas may be at war out there in that area like that but most of the city don’t gang bang like them at all, they assume we do because they don’t leave that area. my block had about ten different gangs getting money together. If you get killed out west more than likely it’s jealously because you getting money or a territory issue fucking with someone’s bag period. And I spent time on every side whether it was kicking with friends or relatives, working or going to school on a different side of town, even shopping and partying downtown which is safe as hell compared to most of the city. The people in all the bs of my generation barely went to the clubs downtown because they’d put your ass under the jail for cutting up and most people living like that not comfortable leaving their own block since their heads gotta be on swivel. If you stay out of trouble and have the mentality to mature, it’s a big beautiful fun ass place frfr. If you research our festivals nothing hardly ever happens during the events either, all the frequent tourists feel safe to come back, & all the different racial groups residing here already be down town or wherever it’s being held celebrating the city drunk together smh lbvs.
I say this as someone who used to fight without hesitation and someone who lost their father and a little brother here as well as many other loved ones to the streets. I say this as someone who has never been afraid to go to another side of town to just get a sandwich even when my family and closest friends was doing the most in the streets, as someone who wasn’t perfect when I was younger myself. Also as someone who spent time growing up down south even going to college down there too. So there is no bias with someone like Charleston’s opinion however in the same breath, he doesn’t know wtf he talking about. I normally agree with a lot he says too. But he needs to visit and stop letting the media control his perspective, just like a lot of these yb fans. It’s a million black bodies residing and living in our metro pop, you hear music about lil boys killing each other from one neighborhood out of hundreds, that’s all. with all the tourists and expensive nice ass cribs don’t let these racists or side taking people stop you from coming to a place of good time, opportunity, and cultural melting pots when you step out of your comfort zone from smaller towns. The kids after durks generations damn near act like white kids compared to us, so that no hope shit dead, a lot of these children of color here are privileged as hell even living in the trenches compared to us. We have some of the top high schools in the country on the north side and down town, one of the best colleges in the world even sitting right there on the south side not too far from where these lil mfs be killing each other at and don’t shit happen by that mf either. It can be bad don’t get me wrong as far as overall crime as any other major city, it’s still more or so about where you go and who you fucking with though, like if you like trouble. When you like nice shit and raised to want better, you do better and be the fuck out the way enjoying life.

Like of course each side has a hood you know, but the good definitely out weighs the bad. Always has, I lived other places and wouldn’t suggest people come here if it was truly evil, only thing I don’t suggest is visiting in the winter if you’re from a place a lot warmer lol
