This is too soft , other than uke having a good workout. Tori has very little control over his opponent. Aikido needs complete control overwise, nothing has really happened and no one involved is truly alive!
Why would you say so?? It makes me wonder how much experience you have under which sensei’s to come up with such a comment. Seems you have trained before but with whom???? In the world of aikido there are many streams and people start with a basic understanding of aikido being the external and easy part. After a while…let’s say 20 years you mature and figure out that you have to leave that phase and go to the internal soft part in order to grow and progress. That’s where you start all over with your training and all techniques become new and done with other forces and other parts of your body, mind and spirit then you are used to. Depends on where you are on your journey of discovering aikido you will recognize the level of this man…or you don’t and in a couple of year hopefully you will open your eyes.
