Without a doubt, this is the best GVB lineup.
This song is a personal testimony for me cause many days I feel like am alone but I always remember that God is always here whenever we need him

David Phelps has the greatest singing voice God ever created! the Gaither vocal band is the Best ever. I have been listening to them for decades and never get enough. I start my day with praise and worship to Jesus with David and the vocal band songs!
Since David & Guy left the Gaither's group it has not been the same.
Jesus will never forsake us all we need to do Is believe in him and ask him into your heart and accept him as your personal savior !

@@victorjeffers1993 Yeah, that's all good and well. But remember, it was documented in the Bible that Jesus let his people do the best they could in the wilderness for 400 hundred years.....sounds like they were forsaken, conveince them otherwise.
We can not stand alone when we have Jesus in our life. But sometimes life can be lonely and listening to this particular GVB group sing this beautiful song can make the loneliness a bit easier, so thank you Mr. Bill Gaither for making it possible.

My Dad was a song leader in our church.
He and Hiram (Dad's good friend) used to sing this song together.
My Dad played the guitar.
They had beautiful harmony when they used to sing this song.
I would cry like a baby when they would sing together.
Well, they are both reunited in Heaven, along with my Mother
who passed away from Alzheimer's Disease at the age of 70.
My Dad was 81 when he passed away.
This song brought back so many memories.

I really Like this song I can see myself standing on my own,then Jesus coming and taking my hand, I know that with Him I will never be alone even when I am on my own.
As I listen to this song I can see a person standing alone in a very dark place, then suddenly Jesus is right there and His light and love surround that person and lifts them up and sets them on the right track .I thank the Lord for a good imagination and providing this encouraging group .Thank you for sharing .God bless you too.

I was introduced to this song by Elvis Presley. His version means a great deal to me. Helps to bring me out of sadness and loneliness. ❤
I first heard this song when Elvis' daughter Lisa Marie did a digitally created duet with her father of the song. It was an awesome version. It was the last duet with her dad before Lisa Marie's passing.
Oh my goodness, I don't know how I've missed this version before. Wow! David's voice stands alone! Although, Guy Penrod is awesome as well and who filled out by Mark and of course Bill Gaither. Great group no matter the arrangement but with David it's just no comparison.
I agree that Guy Penrod's voice is unusual and makes the sound of this group complete. I especially love to watch the love on Guy's face when he sings to his Lord. It makes my heart sing, too.

God's Grace...... Mercy...... Love....... forgiveness...... power can reach down deep & heal.....but also.......bill gaither is the most humble man ever..... He gives every artist.... young & old. a chance to shine! He encourages them to USE their gifts!!!

Where No One Stands Alone was co-written by myself and Mark Catanzero. Mark's father had passed away the previous fall. He and his mother left Kansas City and moved to Central Missouri. Mark was afraid of being socially isolated in a new place. My family also left Kansas City moving to Northern Missouri. I didn't know anyone there and I was apprehensive about moving. We both were expressing faith God would sustain us in an uncertain future.
