San Antonio? My blood stirred again to the music, the dancing. So many years ago, I danced in the street wearing my Stetson to Tejano with my little girl. Years later on my daughter's wedding, we had our father/daughter dance. Again, I was wearing my Stetson. While dancing, a video played - the video of me dancing with my little girl.

Did you know that Mexican norteño music is modeled after Texan conjunto music which borrows the accordion and rhythms of Czechoslovakian and German music? Did you know that Texans formed conjunto music and use the accordion before the Mexicans did in norteño music? Some of the songs were borrowed, but the dancing rand style of music was first used by the "Tejanos". Not saying there wasn't Mexican music before that, obviously there was, in THIS case, in THIS style of music AND dancing, Mexico copied Texas.
The maroon shirt couple 💑 is getting down..I really enjoyed this video of My beloved city san antonio..I love and miss mi gente..there's no place like it..I will hopefully be back for next year's fiesta and I'm definitely going to a tejano event..saludos to all my family and friends in san antonio texas..

I love it, I am originally from Texas and I so much Miss the music in the environment that's why I travel from Kansas when Joy the festivities and it's especially fun when I am part of the media. It never gets old for me#((TEJANO BABY))

What I haven't seen in Tejano dancing in a longtime is like back in the days when my parents danced side to side

This isn’t Tejano dancing, its Mexican dancing. Apparently, “Tejanos” conveniently forget they live off the Mexican culture🥴
